We were ALL less excited about this class in the immediate aftermath. Especially the value of some of the moves. Now, people are seeing Lemon as underwhelming, Stowers doesnt look like a football player at all, Cole Payton didnt look rosterable. Wisniewski was cut.... Markelle Bell is looking really good and so far thats it.Yes, too early to put the final grade on a draft class. But this one has had the Joe Douglas stink all over it from the beginning and early returns are worrying. Which is no surprise at all. Joe Douglas is terrible.I agree this draft didn't feel right. A small slow WR in the first that cost us an additional two 4th round picks and a TE in the 2nd with absolutely no blocking ability. We've done a good job the past few years on day 1 & 2. Maybe not this year. We'll know by next September

54 minutes ago54 min Author I find the consternation over the last five guys on the roster immediately after cuts to be fascinating. Waiting for the vitriol when someone is claimed today. (Remember Noah Togia) I admit that at times there is relevance to a player lost in the process. But the reality is that the first 35 or so guys on the team will determine how this season goes. As for yesterday, I am onboard with the frustration at QB. As I stated on Saturday, this may be a struggle between Howie and Mannion over McKee. I see the point the PHLY guys made that they needed Jenkins and Moore to be here for week 1 because Lemon and Stowers don't look to be ready. I'll be sad if Weru gets claimed. But remember, the larger goal this offseason was to turn our attention to the offense. And, IMO, they have done really well at OL. Kendall, Bell, Lampkin, and Morris look to be a very capable set of back ups this season. And with the prospect of Lane, Dickerson, and Steen not being here next season, they have potential answers already in the building.

Mitchell, Dejean, Carter, Smith, Dickerson, Sanders, Wentz? There are plenty of guys we drafted there who still ended up being great for us but took time/opportunity before hitting like Seumalo, Williams, Nolan Smith, Goedert, Hurts, Davis, Jurgens. Hell the jury is still out on Campbell and Mukuba too as far as I'm concerned.
44 minutes ago44 min Donald is going to put up good sack numbers, but I suspect it’ll be easy to run on him and he’ll need to be rotated a lot. The rams line will be plenty dangerous. But the Donald hype has far exceeded what he’s actually going to do at this age. I suspect he’ll offer far less in the pass rush, but I bet Ojomo, as an example, will be a better all around DT this year than Donald.

CB lack of depth is a major problem. The lack of depth in those 2 positions will affect the season if its not fixed. But Im sure Howie knows that.My question is- did we keep the best 53? Or did we keep a few guys we just hoped we could trade? And if they werent our best 53, then is the trade market even there?Maybe we would be better off if we had Gushiken or Wisniewski on the team rather than Dalton and only 3 safeties. Maybe the upside of Weru, or the play of Jake Majors made those guys more appealing than a backup blocking TE4.And what the hell is Mondon still doing here?

Our S depth will likely be on the PS.CB depth? How much depth do you think there is around the league. The roster will change in the next 24 hours.Save your energy for your Hurts criticism two weeks from now.
33 minutes ago33 min I think the most noteworthy part of this roster is that they needed to go heavy at certain positions because they don’t trust players they have invested in.At QB, you’ve got a draft pick plus years of investment in McKee, who has sucked. We traded for Dalton, who has sucked. So a lack of confidence in these guys necessitated keeping 4 QBs.Same thing at TE.Those failures eliminated the luxury of saving a couple spots for developmental talents. This roster has more holes than we have become accustomed to from recent Eagles rosters. And a roster with holes needs to compensate with numbers. It’s actually harder, not easier, to stash guys that aren’t ready.
30 minutes ago30 min Andy Dalton is being groomed as the next OC for when Mannion leaves. Howie is playing 4D chess, you guys just need to catch up.

If it’s a coachability issue then that’s a different matter, but I still think if you’re willing to draft a guy like him and bring him in then you need to commit to the 3 year project.Nope

We should have 1 playable backup CB on the roster. Everyone knows the roster will change. And thats what was acknowledge when I said "Im sure Howie knows this" about the 3 safeties and CB depth. It takes no energy to discuss these roster decisions.
