It feels like this entire offseason from OC on has been Howie not being able to do what he set out to do with plan A or even B. Sometimes it works out anyway but it feels that way

One of the reasons I don't feel great about the team this year. At least on offense it has felt disjointed and unsure if Howie and Sirianni are on the same page.

They first interview Mike McDaniel who runs the Shanahan system, then they go after Daboll who runs another system. Then it's like ok what exactly is the plan here on offense? Then they get shut out of their top 3 guys after missing out on Doyle as well and have to go back to the drawing board. They end up hiring an OC who may be good, but was not even on their radar at the start of the OC search. Then it's like "Well we didn't set out to get this system, his football mind just impressed us."

Then they wanted to keep Stoutland and they had to let him go. Then they are trying to throw together a WR group with AJ Brown being gone. Weird stuff going on with backup QB. And this is only on offense.

The Eagles still have a lot of talent so their ceiling certainly is a very good team, but just me personally, I'm not vibing with them right now. Just don't have a good feeling, but that can change quickly.

I kind of think they go 9-8 or 10-7. Getting better on offense as the season continues on. Although i wouldn’t be shocked if we were worse or if we have an injury plagued year. We haven’t had a season like that in a while and been relatively healthy in terms of a lot of injuries to big time players or just get decimated at a position

I think Weru gets the foreign player protection.

Getting 4 guys claimed is crazy, particularly given how we have all been claiming that the bottom of the roster is weak

I think they could win as low as 7 and as high as 12. More variance than years past. I think the reality will be somewhere in the middle, 9ish wins, but to me that bumps up very quickly if the OL looks 2024ish and the running game is dominant or one of the non Devonta WRs looks legit. But I'm not expecting things to just work out that smoothly, few things in sports work out that seamlessly.

Kinda weird. Don't love the bottom part of the 53. Yet! But do like the PS potential, as we see who lands there. Got some usable guys for depth there. Only really hated losing Williams. And Gush to a lesser extent.

Look for Wis and Pulley, Hall and/or Wilson at DT, Ojukwu, Majors, James-Newby, Lawson, Covey, Pierce, Campbell.

Although some may choose to go elsewhere given the depth here at certain positions.

I hope Campbell stays but I wouldn't stay. He spent all of last year on the PS and looks clearly better than Mondon. That has to be discouraging. I'd try my luck elsewhere. He could have an Alex Singleton career somewhere else.

Shame about Gush.

I would have liked him for PS. But we did have 3 guys there for probably 2 spots. Guess it means Wis and Pulley will be back

Imo Latu is a better player than Jenkins. Also New England saw him in the joint practice and i liked Latu last year as a 3rd tight end. Williams I’m guessing it’s a swing on his upside

Williams to the Texans makes sense as played college at Texas and they need talent at the position as they’ve always had OL issues. I’m guessing it’s a swing on his upside

Didn’t Williams get picked up Falcons?

The what was the point of your post? You think the Eagles FO and the fans have been like, "welp, he’s just a WR, we can replace him anytime we want”?

You know what they’re not going to miss? Having to deal with his weekly petulant behavior and having to alter the game-plan to make him happy.

Hey guys, guess what. The Eagles are going to miss their best WR they’ve had in decades. Riggght. We missed him the better part of last year, especially in the playoff game.

You are right was falcons. I thought it was Texans. I misread

Thats 9 more minutes than I can deal take, with his forced Yinzer accent.

Sorry to see Gush go, but he is undersized. Wiz and Pulley will be solid additions to our PS

So Bernard, Weru, and Steele all cleared waivers. LOL! That’s funny and not surprising either.

Look for both Bernard and Weru to return, but only one gets IPP status - meaning protected for the entire season.

No. There is no protection anymore.

FWIW Bears fans say he's been terrible and getting beat constantly by backups.

No real losses.

Williams and Hinton failed to improve from last season, and aren't good fits to the new scheme, lacked the lateral mobility and Hinton can't play LT to save his life.

Gush is a tweener, not really a safety and not nifty enough for NCB. I was more worried about losing Wisnieski, a real safety.

I worried about losing Wilson, who only played 1 year at DT in college but flashed in preseason.

And that doesn’t include what happens to the released players. Some of them may end up on other teams.

  • LB Chance Campbell

  • WR Britain Covey

  • WR Danny Gray

  • OLB Tarron Jackson

  • G Michael Jordan

  • RB Dameon Pierce

  • TE Stone Smartt

  • CB Ambry Thomas

  • CB Shaun Wade

  • WR Quez Watkins

Good news. Heard back from VA. He's doing well, has been very busy with some work things. He has contacted his developer friend to get the upgrade started, and he hopes that will also address the Go Daddy access issues.
