This isnt a legality issue, trading him prior to june 1st just comes with a massive cap hit. Not sure what rule is in place that says you can't discuss a future trade. The league is mad they're legally and strategically avoiding a massive cap hit. Why do they care? Who knows.

Who knows.I get that, but he wasn't allowed to be traded before June 1st without the Eagles taking on a significantly higher cap hit. I should've worded it better but I thought people knew what I meant. As for the last question, the league likes to be in control of everything.
