I don’t think that’s how he thinks. Superbowl , been there done that. I think he’d be fine in setting career highs stat wise. Dominating stat lines weekly. That seems to be his goal post Super Bowl victory.

Edit: which is why he needs to gtfo. I don’t want an Aj Brown themed season. Again.

What's with all the Achilles injures the last few years? I don't remember them being this frequent 20 years ago.

Wait, what? I thought WR's were only allowed to run in straight lines.

I thought they had to only run the hitch, by law.

Patriots-Receive AJ Brown & 4th Rounder

Eagles- Receive Conditional 2028 1st rounder & Kayshon Boutte

Howie needs to run as fast as he can after this grand larceny.

I thought there was an OTA today with the press allowed to attend at least one part of it but no reports from anybody. Zilch.

They can only attend one a week

That's the Eagles for you. I'm sure attending the one today would cost them the Super Bowl.

Turns out. BG’s contract was designed for June 1st.

Hhe’s gone as one of the post June releases.

There was one today but not open. Next open one is Wednesday, IIRC.

Are they practicing at the Meadowlands?

Looking like today’s OTA may have been a team building bowling trip

That's why I look forward to week 1 when the Patriots are getting their crap pushed in again by the Seahawks on national TV and AJ Brown isn't able to do anything because every time Drake Maybe steps back he is being hit by 3 different Seahawks players. Camera will be panning to him constantly sitting on the sidelines looking miserable.

Grass isn't always greener on the other side. Shouldn't be selfish and forcing your way out of a team where you have had your best years and won a championship.

This, AJ doesn't give a flying F about the team's performance as long as he gets his. The only thing he cares about, in his own words, is dominating an opposing CB. His team could get blown out 45-14, but as long as he gets 150 and a TD he couldn't care less.

He's shown it here, the team will be playing well and he'll pout if he isnt getting stats. The team loses 3 games in a row but he gets stats and he's quiet as a mouse.

Appreciate what he did here but his time is up.

The issue is they would have to pay him a $28M bonus for this year and if your plan is to keep him just to keep him but then dismiss him from the team if gets injured, it's not a good use of resources. And while the cap hit isn't as bad in 2027 it's still a $31M cap hit to cut him. You also have to factor in the additional pay he would be getting in 2026 in that number.

I also think he would act out at a level we haven't seen yet if he was under the assumption for months he was going to his favorite team to all of a sudden not. While also being in an extremely crowded WR room which means even less targets for him. Ertz acted all emo and butthurt when he expected to get traded and didn't, Brown would probably do worse.

Now, that's not to say Eagles HAVE to trade him. But it would be in there benefit and interest overall to move on with a fair trade.

I just don't think the eagles should be trading him because he wants to be traded, because right now reports are making it seem like the patriots are trying to lowball them. If that really is the case, them F them and F AJ too.

Don't care if he wanted to be traded to his favorite team, he can ish in on hand and want in the other and he can see which one fills up faster. The more he complains the less likely it is he gets what he wants.

What does DeVonta Smith need to do and how long do you think it would take him to do so in order for him to surpass AJ Brown as the best WR in franchise history in your point of view? Does he need to have a bigger season than AJ Brown's best season. Does he need to match/surpass his amount of All Pros that he had while here? Or will just being here and playing for a very high level for a 10+ year career and owning every career receiving record for the franchise be enough?

Understood, this is just the one downside of how Howie does contracts. It’s beneficial long term if everything is great but he kind of backs himself into a corner if the guy sucks (Huff) or wants out (Brown).

My understanding is that it is actually going to be beneficial cap wise going forward with Brown traded than if he were on the team.

2027 2nd round pick, 2028 3rd round pick & Kayshon Boutte is what I'm feeling the return might be at this point.

Yikes
