Sunday at 06:59 PM3 days Not technically, because the season hasn't started yet and me thinks it's gonna be a rough season. The nightmare is only just beginning.

Sunday at 07:06 PM3 days Actually, I said Howie would only do it for a substantial return and getting as much back that you gave up for a guy when he's 4 years older counts. So I was right again.#AlwaysRight #NeverWrong #Prophet #Soothsayer
Sunday at 07:17 PM3 days Getting a 1st round pick is nice. But getting it 2 years later still brings down the value of this deal. The fact you have nothing to show for this trade for 2 years is a hit. Unless you trade that pick for present value, which I don't believe will happen. At least not right away. I was reading this board the last year and a half. At first, almost everyone here thought a 1st and 3rd (and maybe even a 2nd) at least. I believe that it will come in lower than that. It already has, if you are getting the 2028 pick. By default. At this point it's a total unknown. Also, can see this being a conditional pick along the lines of the Wentz trade. Maybe based on health and percentage of games played or snaps played. On top of it, most in here thought he would not get traded til after 2026 season. Nope!!

Consider he is easily a top 3 WR in our history and was a major factor in how we became a dominant team, i'd assume you loved this guy 2022, 2023, 2024 seasons... Unless you just became a fan last year.

Good riddance to him.
Sunday at 07:22 PM3 days Where can i get odds on when the Eagles make that 2028 1st round pick that AJ Brown isn’t in the Patriots roster? I’d throw 20 bucks on that.

The Patriots 2028 1st is worth more than their 2027 2nd, full stop. And, considering how we built the current team off surplus premium draft assets, and our QB is a bad season or 2 away from getting shipped out, 2028 might end up being an ideal time to have them. That’s in a vacuum. Why I’d be holding out and doing extra to get the 2027 pick is that I have the Pats being a total dumpster fire next season and the chance at a top 15 pick in a great draft would be incredible.

But if you have 0 production in lieu of that player, for 2 full years, you have to account for that. Dont think they get 2027 pick. It's conjecture what that value is in 2028 right now. Don't have a crystal ball. I would think the pick is in the 20's somewhere based on their growth here and playing in a pretty bad division where the Dolphins and Jets are perennial losers.
Sunday at 07:53 PM3 days My current guess Patriots 2028 1st and 2027 3rd round draft pick for AJ and Eagles 2027 5th.

Tennessee received their 1st and 3rd round picks on the spot and utilized them within a day. Whether Burks turned out to be a player is irrelevant to the deal at hand; he was a Titans asset immediately. They were able to in turn trade pick 101 the following day. Waiting almost two calendar years to make a pick is certainly not getting as much back.A 2028 1st is certainly less value than a 2027 1st.

They gave up a 1st and a 3rd and will get a 1st and another pick for a guy who is 4 years older. If it's 2028, and I'm still not sure that it won't be 2027... if it's 2028 for the next year it won't have the same value in the lame ass draft value chart. And guess what, the second the 2027 draft ends, then the value immediately skyrockets. Value is fluid, and in the case of draft picks in the NFL it's not like stock. The value is guaranteed to go up. So if in 2028 we will all be talking about the value of having an extra 1st, no one will be saying "B..but... in 2026 it wasn't as valuable then!"
Sunday at 08:31 PM3 days End of day, Howie had very little leverage here for a guy who was gonna raise a stink and want a new contract with guaranteed money very shortly. And had 1 or maybe 2 serious bidders for this diva's services. There was no world where AJ is coming back to the Eagles and the whole NFL knew that. Considering all of that, any 1st you get back will be a huge win for Howie. Cuz this guy will be Alshon Jeffrey Jr. in the next 12-24 months. Possibly sooner. He's a solid slot receiver at this point and not a number 1 at the X position, in my mind. This guy just wasn't gonna age well given his size and injury history. The guys knees and hammies are likely shot, thus the lack of explosiveness and shiftiness in recent years. And even more concerning last year was his hands and lack of focus. What's left?
Sunday at 09:03 PM3 days Do we like Boutte? (for mature posters only)I've seen him mentioned as a possibility in this trade.

Question then becomes do the Eagles keep 6 WRs or does he then take Cooper or Hollywood's spot on the roster? I'd prefer to keep Cooper so maybe I'd take Boutte over Hollywood but not sure how that works/if that would work with the contract they gave Hollywood.
