I mean seriously Dallas, you beat a bad beat up team. Why are you acting like you did something?

I'm sure if we won last night we would be ecstatic and talking as well. I don't blame them for talking crap even if they do suck. It's a division game versus a hated rival.

In the end they are not going anywhere this year we all know that. So it doesn't even matter

This is not the draft for QB, lol. We don't have a need for QB unless Hurts is forced to retire.

No point in going back and forth between that. That discussion is like beating a dead horse. We will just say we agree to disagree

We need it to get ugly the rest of the season, unfortunately. But it’s what has to happen. Lurie needs to see empty seats for the entire second half of the season and the team quitting on Nick. It’s what did Chip and Doug in and it’s time for a reset.

I know Howie is untouchable, but his fingerprints are all over this trainwreck too. Just a complete disaster of the past two offseasons.

I think we are in for a rude awakening at the trade deadline. The players we want traded…and realize they are the players we want traded…aren’t going to have the market you think. Ojomo, Woolen, Goedert, any of these edges…not going to be a lot of takers.

Next tier…you’ll get offers. That’s Barkley and Baun. Barkley needs to prove the hamstring is healthy otherwise no one cares about him.

But teams aren’t going to be lining up for our trash. You’ll get calls about Coop. That’s a gut wrenching one to think about.

I don't think we're going to be trading as many players as people think. This is not baseball. Normally at the trade dead line you see a handful players go and it's usually not all from one team lol.

Howie is not just going to move somebody to move them. Now if a team offers a can't refuse deal for someone yes. But they're not going to be selling just to sell

It looked like Howie (not Nick) told Fangio to tank the game for draft positioning.

Of course we would have been ecstatic.

A team of mostly jags beating "America's team". Is way different than the other way around.

Alright maybe it's time for me to follow a different sport. This one is making me retarded by association

On offense a TE and at least one guard would make a huge difference. Jeff needs to come back.

On defense drafting an edge top 10 could transform the line. Getting constant pressure would help the secondary as well along with Carter.

They need a legit safety. I'd also bring Blank back on the cheap if he gets cut. Mukuba could be fine next to a legit one and Blank would be nice depth or a replacement.

Gotta keep Trotter. Need to draft or sign CB2.

They can't do everything but those are doable in one offseason.

Everyone wants a QB but this isn't the draft I'd get one in the top 10 unless Drew is there. If he is fine. Otherwise, build the D line. They don't need a WR either. Trade back and let someone else get him. Generational or not that's not how you build a team. People should understand that two years from the DL dominating. An extra first for trading back and a top edge is more valuable than the next Moss or Calvin.

Agreed, Drew is the only QB worth a first. Now personally I would trade some of that capital to move up to get him.

But if it's not possible definitely have to rebuild the lines. Oline or Edge. I wouldn't even be disappointed trading back to gain more draft capital to rebuild the team. However Birds still would need a QB somewhere in day 2.

It's not that far out of line with how the defense has been playing for most of this season. This was just one of the better offenses we've faced outside of the Rams so the score line made it undeniable.

They really are living in the past, and not just their past... other people's pasts. That's really sad.

I don’t get it, what am I missing here?

The players played like they didn't give a F on defense and deserve the majority of the blame but Fangio deserves some blame as well. Zero adjustments to stop the run and too many times Dallas got great one on one matchups with their receivers, two of which resulted in TD's (Dejean on Lamb and Mukuba on Pickens one on one).

Fangio has been around long enough that he's not going to listen to Howie to Tank on purpose. Especially when we all know Fangio is not going to be around much longer.

He's not going to allow his reputation be put in question. We all know how honest he is and will voice that very clearly if that was the case

They have so many holes to fill it's going to be a two year rebuild for sure. Howie needs to get a head start on things and sell whomever he can for picks before the deadline. I would trade Saquon and Goedert, and if they can get a 3rd for Ojomo I would trade him as well. Beyond that if anyone wants to give up anything of value for Dickerson, Woolen, etc they can go too. Howie has got to hit on a number of picks these next two years so the more he can get the better.

The writing is on the wall. It's been an amazing run since 1999. Lurie is ceding to his son, Howie is at the back end if his career, the past 10 years have been amazing. Gonna be a tough few years at the very least as our cap will be compromised by the money pushed forward to afford the past decade. For me, after 54 solid years of following and rooting for them tirelessly, spending lots of money to watch, travel to games, buy gear, etc. I think I'm heading into fair weather fan realm. Watching this team simply doesn't hold my interest. Same with all Philly sports. Age for sure has something to do with it. Interests as well.

Barkley likely reaggravated his hamstring. I can't believe they let him keep coming back on the field

So it drives me crazy for our offense to have a QB whose weakness is passing and whose skill set limits what we can do on offense. It’s just hard for me to support the idea of building around that moving forward. That said…that’s my only complaint about Hurts. Setting aside how obnoxious some of his most vocal supporters are, I don’t feel the need to argue over the past or his legacy or diminish that…or prove right my believe he was mostly carried to that success. I just care about moving forward and am happy for him to have a legacy as the greatest QB in franchise history given the wins they had while he was here.

Why am I talking about Hurts when he hasn’t played for 2 weeks? Because the above paragraph should loosely apply to Sirianni too. He’s getting some rough insults right now and getting dragged through the mud. No one wants to project a goofy personality who doesn’t contribute to the offense as the HC moving forward (and no one is…he’s getting fired). But show some degree of respect for what happened here on his watch. Because whether you believe he was riding coat tails to that success or not (see above), it did happen on his watch.

"I'm going to point out that Hurts isn't that good and what a problem that is moving forward (despite the fact that he hasn't played in two weeks) but I don't want to argue about Hurts."

I understand the sentiment, but when you find yourself in the top 5, you sure as hell don’t draft for need. Drafting for need, filling holes, and checking boxes is for when you have a team that is ready to compete and needs to put the finishing touches on the on-field product.

The Eagles have very, very few stud players. In fact, the only two that can be identified right now are both on defense…Q and Carter. So if you want to make it a need thing, force picking an edge with your franchise rebuilding draft pick is more redundant than WR.

But when you have a team that earns a top 5 pick (and it’d be top 3 if we are talking Smith)…you draft the player with generational franchise changing talent, not the edge because hes an edge.

I finally found something I agree with you on. The worst thing they could do is get a top 10 or top 5 pick and draft for "need." Not to mention they have needs all over the place on both sides of the ball. I wouldn't prefer to draft a WR super high either but if they are sitting at say 4 and Jeremiah Smith is there and he is the best player on the board you take him, period.

They’ve been horrible to watch since the Super Bowl. I don’t even care so much they’re losing, there is just no juice in these games, especially on offense. No young, exciting, up and coming players, etc. It has been a total snooze fest, not really worth watching these two seasons.

That was sadly as expected. This much vaunted D is starting to look like a paper tiger and the O is just not good. Questions about roster composition have to be asked; the FO demanded an O scheme change and its been painful to watch. Big additions elsewhere aren't paying off.

But to be fair, this team has been an absolute tear for a number of years, so a level of regression was going to happen. The cycle cannot be avoided. But even so, this far more of a mess than it needs to be

We won two SB's and made it to another in the last decade. Now the bill is due and it's going to be a rough couple of years. It's going to suck but I would trade two or three rough years for that decade of success any day. I also think Howie will turn things around as he has historically had more success at rebuilding teams than maintaining SB winners. The best thing everyone can do right now is root for losses.
