October 27Oct 27 Howie knows this is the best time of year to extract value for players. Maybe he doesn’t end up having a fire sale, but I believe he will be aggressive in talks, especially with FAs to be.

October 27Oct 27 It's time for howie to pull a page out of the belichek book.Dont pay every player top dollar.Get a proper coach that can coach well.Run a blue collar team with maybe a couple of high earner stars. The proper coaches should be able to coach up the regular players to just "do your job"Let a majority of the big names walk. Get comp picks. Draft decently.

Still a lot of players on this team I have a lot of belief in, this thing is just over and it needs a regime change badly. Eagles usually bounce back well.This.In 2023 in the collapse year, the defense looked similar. We talked about players not giving enough effort and lacking accountability. Vic showed up and they added Baun, Q and DeJean and everyone else stepped up. The core that remains from the Super Bowl win should still play well but this year is a down year and things are off. Effort and accountability have slipped again. I don't know if it's Fangio losing focus, players giving up because of losing or what. Keep in mind the Georgia players came from a championship college team and went to a team winning a championship and making the playoffs. Some players need to learn how to lose and remain resilient and keep working. That's where veteran players come in. Brandon Graham and Nakobe Dean were those types to be leaders. Baun is a veteran but doesn't seem like the vocal leader as much. They may be able to retool in the offseason to build around the core they have, but they may need a complete overhaul of coaching staff to get fresh voices and message. And it's crazy to think they would once again fire a Super Bowl winning coach, and what does that do for potential candidates. But I think Lurie and Howie want dynasty teams as their next achievement. Howie has built two championship teams with mostly different roster and coaching regime. They made the change in scheme to see if that fixes the offense. I think they want do dominate and win more championships and have an impressive offense and they're going to make the change this offseason to get ahead of it.I also think they draft a QB this year, if not with their highest pick then trading back into the 1st or taking one with that high 2nd. And the new HC and his selected OC and QB coach will be able to contribute to who they want as their QB.Rather than continue to struggle and waste away core players, rebuild around them and try to win another one.

And Dejean its like hes never even played football before, hes gone from best nickel in the league to Sean Considine. Players usually don't get dealt for big returns at the deadline but I am thinking they could probably get a 3rd for Saquon, and a 5th for Goedert and Woolen.Who is going to sign Ojomo to a huge deal given how he has played this season? He had high expectations but he has not played up to those expectations. This won't be Milton Williams coming off of a dominant SB performance money.

You're not going to land top talent if they're worried they'll just get canned after 5 seasons, no matter how great they are. Seriously, you're willing to just cast aside a HC and player that have been to two super bowls in 5 years, so you can gamble on the FO drafting a new franchise QB and HC that will pan out. This isn't Madden, lol. This is why context matters.Top 1 RBTop 5ish WR, top 15ish WRTop 3 OLTop 10 TEThat’s what we had in 2024 and it took a bunch of drama to get a winning offense out of it. And it took the defensive coordinator of a generation coming here just because he happened to grow up here and wanted to end his career here. The only good thing Sirianni has shown is the kind of puppy dog stupidity to fall completely in line with the organization and put on a genuine face for the players. There’s some value in that, but when there’s no brain behind it, years like this happen. We’ve collapsed in 2023, 2025, and completely crumbled this year.Hurts is much more debatable, but he’s just gonna age like milk. If he comes back fully cleared, this is a franchise changing selling window.

The record reflects it. People are too stuck on 2024 personnel. That's now 2 years ago. Stuff happens. I would like to extract as much value from this squad as possible and start that process. We build with Q. I'm all ears about everyone else here. I'm not just selling to sell. We need premium picks to rebuild this thing. We are devoid of the right talent for a superbowl contender. As a matter of fact a lot of it has quit. Which is super concerning at this early stage of the season. Need to find the offenders there.

October 27Oct 27 There is still a good number of talented players on the roster. To say there's no talent is just emotional.DefenseQDeJean - needs to go back to corner thoughBaunCarter - always double teamed and held but never gets that call. He can't do it alone, Davis has regressed and the Edges are hurt or averageTrotter is promising and should be starting the rest of the season to gain more experienceThe fix: there are some JAGs who will remain because you can't have studs at every position. Edge: draft/sign a quality Edge player to put opposite Hunt (will Greenard ever play for this team?). Healthy Greenard, top draft prospect and Hunt on a potential bounce back year next year helps the Edge. Safety: draft/sign upgrades at safety, which they won't spend $ on given Q and DeJean contracts (Dean may be a discount now lol)CB2 they'll need another answer when Woolen leaves in free agency (or deadline trade?) but they will probably sign a JAG, which may be fine if DeJean regroups and they have an actual pass rush.DT: will Davis bounce back and have a better year next year, especially with stronger talent/health at Edge? Who replaces Ojomo? Does Ty Robinson provide anything going forward besides a cool wrestling move last night? Someone needs to have a come to Jesus meeting with Davis about stepping it up and living up to his contract and leadership expectations.Coaching staff: Fangio will retire, they'll hire new HC who will hire new coaching staff.OffenseWR is a good group: Smitty, Wicks, Cooper and LemonMailata is still a good LT and has more years left than I think some fans want to believeKendall is the likely starting Center next year, no he's not as good as Kelce or Jurgens (prime) were, but he's good enough and they have other needsBell has potential and will start the rest of the season. He's either the starter next year or he's a great backup with starting experienceBigsby is a good RB and RBs are arguably the easiest position to replace, can add a mid round pick to the group they haveThe fix: need to evaluate the young guys the rest of the seasonO line: always has to start there. They may need to upgrade both starting guards if Steen walks, which is the assumption. And they should add a quality OT whether for depth or to replace Bell as starter. Is Morris able to be a more reliable backup next season or do they need more depth? Need backup C/G as well especially for Kendall. I like Lampkin's toughness but he's Rudy out there, just too small and not realistic as a starter.QB: I think they draft a QB this year whether their top pick, or 2nd round/trade up back into late 1st. If they love a guy, they're taking him and Howie will trade 2028 picks to do it.TE: position needs an overhaul. Play Stowers now and rest of the season, gotta see what if anything he can do at this level. Now is the time for all young guys to get playing time. If he sucks repeatedly, then bench him again but you have to find out and might as well let him play the rest of the season. Especially if Goedert becomes a trade deadline sell. But offseason need to upgrade TE with talent. Enough specialists where one TE can pass and another can block, that gives aways the play to the defense. Just get some meat and potatoes old school TE who can do both. Give me a Brent Celek any day.Coaching/scheme: I think they clean house after this, and let the new coaching staff have influence on their QB and rebuild.
October 27Oct 27 I know he gets held a lot but Carter is still frustrating to watch on a week to week basis. We see him wreck games and then we see him take PTO depending on the week. He only seems to show up when he feels like it.
October 27Oct 27 With draft ammo, I just hope Howie doesn't trade it all away and actually selects enough players. They have a lot of positions to address. Trade up for a QB if you love him, that's great. But if they sell and collect draft picks use them. Don't trade a bunch of 3rd, 4th and 5th picks to move up a few spots for 1 player. Then he trades back from 5th to 6th or 7th and takes players that don't make the team. Use those 3rd-5th rounders for depth and potential starters.

October 27Oct 27 Jalen Carter played with a broken hand since week 1. Played through it. But yes, let's blame the game on the DTs when the EDGEs were the biggest issue on Run D
October 27Oct 27 A lot of weird Makai Lemon takes on the interwebs today. He had a solid game yesterday. Best game as an Eagle no question. I think they used him better than they have. Made some tough catches through contact. Not sure why everyone needs to dial up the hyperbole up to 11 with the guy though. I've heard "He looked great/amazing" and the "Where are the Lemon haters now???"The dude had like 70 yards, not 200 yards. It's so bizarre that people are ready to call Mukuba a bust already, but for Lemon to be considered playing well he just needs to get open on a few plays a game and not actually catch passes, and for Lemon to be considered playing great and "silencing the haters!" he just needs to have one game against maybe the worst defense in the NFL and put up 70 yards. The correct take is: he's been very disappointing up until last night and finally showed progress. That's it, that's all you need to say.
