Quick thoughts on limited sleep while flying home.

  • Try some positives at first - Landon seemed to be improved, as was Kendall. And for a rookie who only played LT in college, Bell is doing pretty well also. Kendall and Bell might be the center and RT of the future.

  • WR seems to be solid with Smitty (likely needs an extension), Wicks, Lemon and Cooper going forward.

  • McKee was better

  • Ok, enough being positive. The DTs mailed it in. All of them. Carter and Davis should be ashamed.

  • Hunt is a zero right now. I know he’s coming off injury but after the TC hype. He and Nolan going to play out their contracts. Nolan is our best edge by default.

  • Q is still awesome, but Coop has been ruined by playing safety. Q should be extended this offseason. Coop - no 5th year option, so could lose him if you wait. Maybe the price is low enough this offseason? But needs to be CB full time.

  • Try and move Woolen, Ojomo, Goedert before the deadline. Steen too. Not sure there’s much of a bid for any of them.

I can't handle that possibility today

I think we are in for a rude awakening at the trade deadline. The players we want traded…and realize they are the players we want traded…aren’t going to have the market you think. Ojomo, Woolen, Goedert, any of these edges…not going to be a lot of takers.

Next tier…you’ll get offers. That’s Barkley and Baun. Barkley needs to prove the hamstring is healthy otherwise no one cares about him.

But teams aren’t going to be lining up for our trash. You’ll get calls about Coop. That’s a gut wrenching one to think about.

They got a 2nd for Jurgens, there will be plenty of takers. You also can't weigh one bad season too much either.

Small positive - feeling better about the 2026 draft class, particularly Lemon and Bell. Stowers was at least on the field.

Another reminder to be patient. 2024 was an anomaly with Q and Coop.

I'd like to see Morris sooner than later as well.

Q and Devonta would bring back good compensation- Coop too but not as much. Carter could but his new contract is a limiting factor. Not saying trade the above, but as for a fire sale, the honest return for guys like Goedert, Woolen, et al would bring back a used ladder and a low pressure fire hydrant.

I finally found something I agree with you on. The worst thing they could do is get a top 10 or top 5 pick and draft for "need." Not to mention they have needs all over the place on both sides of the ball. I wouldn't prefer to draft a WR super high either but if they are sitting at say 4 and Jeremiah Smith is there and he is the best player on the board you take him, period.

exactly, like going for needs is the biggest reason why the eagles took a step back when andy got fired here, you got to play the cards of just taking best player available and use the current players on your roster in the trades to address need.

That was an outlier. Don't base anything on the 2nd for Cam

Be careful to not have your opinion on certain players shift too much on a bad season, you see it a lot when things get bad, everyone kinda looks bad, and when you blow it up and bring in a new staff the players who you got nothing out of the year before suddenly look reborn. Still a lot of players on this team I have a lot of belief in, this thing is just over and it needs a regime change badly. Eagles usually bounce back well.

If the doctors determine the clot was triggered by an acute event and not an underlying condition then no he won't.

But there is the question if such a clot should happen from a calf injury if you don't have predispositions...until that is solved he is untradable and that won't be solved until he is cured from the current condition

I wouldn't trade Coop like others have been saying but I'd put him back where he thrives. This was a failed experiment

I've defended Carter because of the injury but the cast is supposed to be small enough when he should be making more of an impact. He's been a disappointment

JD is just stealing money and I'm going on an ITYS tour with that one

A good coach can fix a lot of things offensively even if they weren't the main issue last night. The defense needs an edge and a legit safety. They need a LB as well and CB2 when Riq walks.

Offense needs two guards if Steen walks and a TE.

It's a lot but it can be done. Even if they got one guard, TE, edge, and safety would make them much better.

I think Cooper has been playing with an injury that has impacted him all season. He also looks far less instinctual. They have had repeated break downs in coverage. The defense lost 2 of it's leaders between Reed and Dean. No one else has stepped into that void and it shows repeatedly. We also cannot get a single free rusher on a blitz and that is inexplicable to me. Dean used to truck RBs in protection. Our LBs just lazily bump into them. It's like everyone is looking to be blocked rather than just beating the person in front of them. I just don't know what you are going to get for Ojomo, Woolen or Goedert. Steen definitely could be traded but part of me thinks Howie still values him.

Couldn't disagree more. Howie needs to commit to a full blown garage sale. A year ago we had spent 190 million of future money, more than a full season's worth of cap space and twice as much as the 2 nd highest spending team. It was worth it as we won 2 titles and if they hadn't played on that crap AZ field it might be 3 SB wins. Now the team has aged out many of our best players were allowed to walk as Howie chose to cover his ass and extend his high picks and we have drafted terribly last two years. The money has run out. Time to shed salary take the cap hits and get as many picks as possible but have someone else use them as Howie sucks at drafting. Fire everyone start over. That time comes for every team. It's our time now for a re birth a new beginning. And wan't that last SB win just amazing! 34-0 before the Chiefs crossed mid field. I feel so much gratitude for that performance, the high light of my 61 years watching this team. Time to sell sell sell

Can you provide any examples of an NFL team having a fire sale in the past having 3-5 trades at the trade deadline? Or are we going to start that trend lol

Ojomo should get you a 4th? Woolen - who knows, maybe a 5th or 6th?

The Jets traded away Quinnen Williams and Sauce Gardner last year.

I get that yesterday was basically a must win but I don't think he should have been out there. He was clearly compromised. At this point the season is over. They need to rest him so that he can come back right before the deadline healthy and trade him if someone is willing to make a good enough offer.

It was stupid to give a guy that kind of money who only showed up for one season playing for a contract.

I can’t see Baun getting traded nor do I want him traded. Come on some you are acting like we should just pull a Marlins/Orioles like we’re a small market baseball club

Sure but that's relatively easy to sort out with blood work which I'm sure he's getting done. No one would trade for him with an active clot being treated agreed. But whether or not he needs forever anticoagulation should be clear by the end of 3 months of treatment/when his hematology blood work comes back.

Trade him for his own sake. If he is going to run his body into the ground this season then let him do it on a team he has a chance to win on.

I doubt Howie will trade Ojomo just because he is likely going to sign a massive contract which would net a 3rd round compensatory pick. Players usually don't get dealt for big returns at the deadline but I am thinking they could probably get a 3rd for Saquon, and a 5th for Goedert and Woolen.
