I just think Tank has the juice when he gets in there, but they must have hesitations. They sure pumped him up this past camp. I'm just not a Shipley guy overall. In his 3rd year and I can't really remember much of any of his contributions here.

It's not a lot to go on but Shipley had 10 snaps on offense to Tank's 6 and 21 special teams snaps to Tank's 10. I definitely think Tank is a more dynamic runner for what that's worth and if Barkley has to miss time I would expect Tank to get the majority of the offensive snaps. In this particular game, because Shipley is a better receiver and Mannion's system throws a lot to the backs, he got a few more snaps and a reception. That proves nothing much.

On Sunday the following TEs were active. Goedert for 52 of the 55 snaps, Mundy for 20 of the 55, Jenkins 1 of the 55. Ertz isn’t going to "steal” any snaps from Goedert. Nor is he going to get any of Mundy’s snaps. That leaves Jenkins’ one snap for Ertz … and maybe not even that if Jennings was in in order to be a blocker. Why not have Ertz on the Bell Squad until and unless DG gets injured.I think it would be wise for Ertz to go on the practice squad first to ramp him up. He may still not be ready, so hard to say the right timing on this if and when it happens. Let's see if Stowers is ready to come back after 4 weeks or is shelved for the season.

September 15Sep 15 Still could use more throws to the middle, but I was just glad we didn't see 12 throws behind the LOS which would have led me to believe it was actually Nick's Week 1 offense from 2021.

Even lane wasn’t typical lane.I thought Rich Hoffman made a really good point on the Philly special pod, he said when you go back and watch the plays that they had a lot of success on, it was a lot of the time stuff that they’ve run in the past in shotgun and the type of blocking scheme required under Stoutland. Imo mannion is smart enough to know that if he just throws everything new and forces it, it’s not gonna be a rougher transition and offense could look even worse early on as they are still learning and adapting to something entirely new. Imo probably thinks this alsonhelps get them into somewhat of a rhythm and feeling good. Likely going to be a gradual shift over the course of the season, where we see more if mannion’s comfortability and his style/offense and less what we did in the past as time goes on.

Hurts likes four verticals.
