Mahomes having zero issues running on that knee…his first pass attempt seemed a little weird though.

Refs having zero issues missing holds to help them

I’ll be turning 60 years old in just over a month and my sister sent a family text a few days ago asking if anyone knew if our childhood home was still standing. I’ve thought about going back to see i

Year 1 of Hurts having protection call responsibility the Eagles had a 2k yard rusher and won the SB. He took a bit through the season to get good at it…but Hurts excels pre snap.

I have no clue who did it last year, but it didn’t matter because Patullo couldn’t get plays in in time to adjust.

Protection refers to pass pro. I believe the OL (center) still handled any run blocking changes. Nothing about Hurts' performance contributed to the run game except that fact that the team decided they wouldnt win with him passing so the had to run the ball more.

So let me get this straight he got rolled up on, they didn’t do any imaging until day after week 1. when he was awful and looked poor in training camp/practice and has a length injury history

Add-on, there was no mention of it on the injury report leading into week one. He practiced in full all 3 days. No mention. So they don’t put it on the report but figured today let’s have imagining. So the lie he injured himself in game would’ve made more sense for the imagining part

But there’s that integrity factor. Team and Dickerson knew that he was dealing with this prior to the game and they didn’t put it on the report even though it clearly was hampering to every person at practice. Good old integrity…

Or it’s just an excuse to get him on the IR

If Kendall can be even average at the LG position this is a major improvement.

Wasn't this against the Commies starters?

My understanding is he took over line calls with Jurgens being a 1st year OC. Also, yes…all his audibles and play adjustments had zero impact on Saquon’s 2k yards. He just handed the ball off.

I believe it was basically all starters, and Kendall was phenomenal that game.

I know we get pro Hurts tweets talking about the checked calls that turned in to positive plays. Nobody highlights all the times he changes to a play that has a terrible result, which does happen too. I have never seen anyone claim he is elite pre-snap. Most would probably admit that is one of his issues. There was pretty much no hiding it when the Buccs coach was seen on camera saying he cant read.

Reed and Coop were in pretty good sync yesterday:

We have just upgraded at LG. A warm body is an improvement over the current version of LD. Lateral mobility in the running game should be instantly noticeable. Expect Kendall to be fine and Lampkin as well if they go that route. I'm sure they won't let you know til Sunday at kickoff. 🤫

After watching Bo Nix’s first 17 years in college, i can’t believe he’s playing at this level in the NFL.

Has he been used beyond the LOS yet?

You mean "thrown to?"

Blankenship wasn’t very good last year as compared to previous years. I’d assume he gets more acclimated to then defense he won’t look nearly as bad. But that was as bad of a game as you could have from that position.

Needs to be able to hold up at the POA. 305 scares me a little bit, even with the scheme change.

Looking forward to seeing a healthy, albeit less talented Drew Kendall step in.

Even base level competence at the LG position should make a big difference in the offensive efficiency.

Hopefully 2 of Kendall , Bell , Lampkin and Morris. Become good starters eventually.

was he outside the tackle box?

Then they call a phantom one on Denver to stall a drive. Typical

really looked like intentional grounding on the previous play

If we were still running Stout's system, I would have said sign Becton to the PS. But don't think he really fits the new scheme

I think he fits better now than we realized in the summer when we were trying to guess what this offense would look like.

Its the lateral agility I worry about
