Walker found open spaces to run thru and with power. AR will have a powerful weapon on his hand that goes well with PM of his passing game. A likely representative of AFL at SB this season. The Seahawks really never used Kenneth Walker to his full capacity. From the time they drafted him until he left, he was always in a committee. The most carries he’s ever had in a season was 228 in his rookie year which was also his most touches too (every year he’s been under 260 total touches). Last year pre-post season Walker had 252 touches and charbonnet had 204. Basically as a 55/45 split. Even though charbonnet is injured now, but I don’t think they wanted to pay Walker to the type of money he was gonna command on the open market. (Although I do wonder if they made that decision way prior to Chardonnet getting hurt in the playoffs and they would’ve changed that except for the fact Walker was so close to free agency. He was going to test the market being that close and he was cashing in especially after his SB/playoffs).I think they believe that they could draft a kid and have him be in that committee with Chardonnet (when he returns) and pay a fraction of the price to pay other guys in that offense and on defense.
September 15Sep 15 I like this creativity. With Hurts, Barkley, Tank, Lemon you'd think they have the weapons to make these type of plays.

But Mannion is in his 1st ever game as OC and Reid is a HOF HC with decades of offensive play design and play calling experience.

Even Patullo managed red zone creativity. I'm sure Mannion will cook something up. But yes Reid's been doing this type of stuff a while.
September 15Sep 15 I mean Brees with the wrist injury with weather conditions still probably better than what stidham was.

September 15Sep 15 We've got the tush push, the flea flicker and other creative names. What do you name this play?

Considering the talk was there of his possible retirement, I would think they would be closely monitoring him and prepared to give him the hook, if necessary. Something should have been revealed during the preseason and a Plan B needed to be developed for this very situation. I am not saying they didn't but...It feels like his desires to play outweighed prudence. He was clearly physically failing during the game, but where was Kuper, Mannion and Sirianni? What would they have to say if Saquon or Jalen went down too because of inability to do his job? From a roster perspective, they are in much better shape this season than last season. I am not sure what happened during the game and why they didn't consider making a switch then. My guess is he did not report an injury. You have a first time OC who probably and a new O line coach and they may not have assessed the problem during the game.

What do you name this play? There's so much that doesn't get called on a consistent basis - the NFL spent an entire offseason trying to eliminate a legal play (tush push) simply because the Eagles were too good at it, but they let stuff like this slide every week. Something else I noticed this week a bunch - what ever happened to the emphasis on calling penalties against tackles being lined up too far in the backfield? Seems like they called it a bunch against the Ravens in the season opener a year or two ago, and since then it's back to guys lining up damn near a full yard behind the center.
