I was never a lurker (it’s not my MO) but the amount of knowledge I acquired/absorbed from our fellow Blog posters is incalculable.I lurked for a while before I posted regularly. I think I joined the old boards in late 2007. Started posting in here on the run up to the 2008 NFCCG.

I learned quite a lot over the years! The lead up to me doing the regional combine I will never forget too. Funny to see the civil war talk again, because it always made my head spin given my profession and just how much of a different beast things were back then.

Jeffrey Wert has a fine book about him. There was great hostility to Peteafter the war because of his post-war duties but it was part of the Lost Cause movement that so corrupted history and looks to be being redeveloped with new clothes. He seemed to have strained relationships during the war. With Hill following the 7 days which almost resulted in a duel and did necessitate Little Powell’s transfer to the Valley and apparently he wanted to court martial McLaws after Knoxville. Some of confederate generals excelled as division commanders, but seem lacking when elevated to corps. I tend to think Longstreet was best as a corps commander with Lee managing the personalities.

September 20Sep 20 This popped up in my memories today from a few years ago…that catwalk was absolutely terrible come October on trying to run a game 🤣. Low key the reason I set my retirement for October that year…so I didn’t have to run the show for another football season.

I always wondered. So it was a blog + discussion and now it's just an ongoing general discussion. There was a thread in WU once called TCB (The Corner Bar). Someone earlier described this topic like going to a bar to chat and anything can come up. Something like that would make more sense ha ha.Every corner bar needs one...

He goes into extreme detail and minute by minute details. Pretty fascinating stuff.

Because they created a phantom injury for him, because he is not preforming like a 2nd round pick should- which is an understatement for a guy who they deemed actually undeserving to see the field yet.Yes. Disappointment. Its not a premature declaration. That sounds too final. Its a current observation, which leaves room for improvement.
