He has limited arm talent.

Why? How? In what ways? What throws is he physically unable to make?

Just realizing watching now that this is the exact same throw and catch as in the 1st Super Bowl under 2 minutes where DeVonta caught it and took two steps in bounds and then an additional step out of bounds and then fell to the ground where he bobbled the ball but ultimately maintained possession and they overturned after like 5 minutes of review time.

'The master of the plan, rappin ish like Saran.

I wonder how much of the team is going to go out because it's Nashville and the common letdown game right before a big one the following week against the Bears on MNF so they are just overlooking the Titans a bit. Then that heat tomorrow and early game on top of a night of partying. Coop is going to be dealing with a lot Sunday between his injury, the heat and his hangover. He's gotta lock in. Money is made and lost this season with the Eagles determining how much money to throw at him in the offseason.

Saturday Morning Eagles-Titans Week 2 Game Score Predictions Update - Only 36 hours until Kickoff

64 predictions recorded. 63 are for an Eagles win and 1 (highlighted in yellow) is for a Titans win.  The average predicted score continues to be a highly believable (and the same as last week's average) Eagles 28 Titans 14.

Please tag your prediction post with @mattwill. That way I will be sure to see/record it.  Score predictions can also have an optional "Bonus Pick" tiebreaker prediction.  I will be taking predictions right up until Kickoff.

The list of the 64 predictions that are recorded is presented below, sorted high to low by Eagles points predicted. If you don't see your name there, and you have submitted, I must have missed it. Please submit it again.

The Simmons comment is actually funny. I think anyone who has watched Hurts enough knows that when he gets outside of the pocket he’s actually a worse passer. But when he’s within it he’s very effective and ranks at the top near the core top four QBs over the past couple of years. If I were a defensive player, I’d want to make him "not play QB” but what do I know.

They should rename this section from "Talk About The Eagles" to "Talk About Jalen Hurts". Very rarely do other topics get discussed in here and when they finally do, it eventually just pivots back to more Hurts discussion.

Philly fans have always had a love/hate relationship with their qb1. If there are certain members that discuss it too much put them on ignore.

The blog itself has always had a local bar feeling where we discuss many subjects (not politics or religion usually). There are other topics being discussed and many very knowledgeable posters (I'm not one of them) to learn from and get into intelligent conversations with. Discuss topics with them and ignore what you don't want to talk about.

Do you have some score numbers to go with that prediction? You went with 27-13 last week.

This. Exactly this. When Hurts gets on the move and isn't able to properly set himself, his passes tend to be off-the-mark. When he's in the pocket and properly balanced when throwing, he's actually quite good.

What's infuriated me mostly over the years is his tendency to drift to his right from a clean pocket and circle toward the sideline. It's at that precise moment that I'm about 95% sure we're looking at a "dead play". Occasionally something good can happen -- I guess it's mostly when he's able to run -- but that's generally not the case.

And I say this as someone who is definitely in the "pro Hurts" crowd. But I'm also objective by nature so I can admit his faults.

@mattwill

PHI - 27

TEN - 13

Smith leads PHI in receiving in yards and gets a TD.

Anthony Hill leads TEN in tackles with 10+, he’s going to be a good one in the league for a long time.

Unrelated, I’m setting the over/under for WAS offense @ DAL at 28 and I’m taking the over.

The Big10 makes a super conference, and then doesn’t play each other for 3 weeks. September preseason mode at multiple levels. At least the SEC is lurching into gear today.
