A bad tear can keep you out for months, and they'll find out soon from the MRI but the fact that he walked without a significant limp seemed to indicate it's not an avulsion fracture. There have been a few cases like that where it seemed the reaction didn't justify severity of the injury. I think it was Rodgers a few years back who was carted off with what was assumed to be a season ending injury only for him to return in the second half and actually finish the game. Then you have the other end of the spectrum where guys like McNabb finished a game on a broken ankle and then miss half of the season.

I haven't looked at any breakdowns but I'd imagine Davis has been lining up primarily as a 0 / 1 technique, where as Ojomo would be more in a 3 / 4 tech more often than Davis would be. Not saying that Ojomo isn't actually a better player than Davis, just that I wouldn't base that conclusion strictly on snap counts because of those differences in utility.

It looks like a run option with the possibility of Jalen keeping the ball if the DE crashes and following Goedert as a lead blocker. I don't think the numbers are that bad. The Eagles have 6 on the LOS to block 4. The DE stays home because of Jalen. There are 2 DT's and 2 LBs that should be accounted for in the scheme. It looks apparent that Kendall should be moving up to the LB. At the point the play is here:What is the plan for Lane? You would think his next step would be to get to the 2nd level. Instead, he chips the DE:And then heads to the DB:What was the plan for the other LB? When they drew up this play against what looks like a normal front 7 in a typical alignment, what was the plan for the 2 LBs who are the next most likely defenders to make a play.

Next week, for instance I suspect that the Bears will try to run a lot and JD's snaps might double.

Sometimes when you feel like you are on an island it feels good to be heard. Plus with the right person they can offer an outsider perspective to help your situation. Now venting at customer service? I agree. He’ll, back when I was on the road full time the people I ALWAYS treated with unconditional kindness was airlines lost baggage reps. Those poor folks got nothing but yelled at for 8 hours a day. What you and Schmoopie are doing isn’t IMO venting. Sounds more like commiserating and collaboration. What I hear you describing is problem solving … which has a very different tone than @eagle45’s hot takes frequently have.My Schmoopie asked me why I bother responding to someone whose cup is consistently no more than one quarter full, and my answer was easy … he is very knowledgeable about football and as long as the doom and gloom doesn’t overwhelm the back and forth dialogue he is a pleasure to talk with.

Davis is 6'6" 336lbs, where as Ojomo is 6'2" 292lbs, different positions.

I paid attention more this week to the fronts and it seemed like Vic was dropping an edge into ‘coverage’ quite an bit out of 5 man fronts. However, we beat to death the 1 trick vs versatile DT thing with Davis over the past few years. He’s getting paid quite a bit, i do thinks it’s a bit alarming that there isn’t a little bit more of a rotation in 4 man fronts. At this point i don’t question much that Vic does though.
September 21Sep 21 Sucks for Avonte. He and Goedert were the fun stoners of the team a few years back and champions

First, they’re running an entirely new offensive system. Second, they’re running an entirely new blocking scheme and this is only the second game they’ve ever had to do it. Because they don’t use the preseason. And training camp and minicamps aren’t the same thing as a competitive regular season NFL game. Third they have a new offensive line coach who may or may not be very good. Based off his time in Minnesota he wasn’t very good. Fourth Jurgens hadn’t played guard in three years. Fifth Jurgens never played left guard in his career until yesterday. Sixth Kendall has not played meaningful snaps and calling out protections until yesterday. Seventh they went up against one of the best defensive tackles in the league in Jeffrey Simmons. That dude is really Fing good. He’s gonna make a lot of people look bad. The Titans in general might suck that dude is really good.I forgot to mention just offensively, the OC mannion is only in his second game calling plays as an offensive coordinator. And Robert saleh has always given the Eagles fits defensively. The only game the Eagles really haven’t is when they played in the NFC title game and Brock Purdy got hurt.
