Can we at least release Dalton for a silver lining. Never ever again do I ever want to see him.

Why has he been elevated over McKee?

Carrying 4qbs is wasting a roster spot. And this team has issues…it’s not that I need to see Dalton cut. But they are wasting a spot. If they really think Dalton is better, then cut McKee. No qb behind Dalton has trade value.

There’s just no excuse to have both.

They both stink honestly

That was a total embarrassment to the entire organization, from the players all the way up to the FO.

Missed tackles and blocks, blown coverages, tons of penalties, brainless turnovers. They thought they'd just roll over Keenum and the Bears, which is unacceptable given the beatdown last year. Total failure.

All the coaches failed at their jobs last night. They didn't have the team ready, poor game plans, didn't adjust in the 2nd half, and mismanaged game situations.Total failure.

And how about the FO tonight?

The stark Dalton vs. Keenum disparity not only makes them look like morons, but they have now utterly destroyed both Dalton's and McKees value. And then seeing washouts like Swift and Edwards making plays. Total failure.

The only positive is that not a single unit can say "it's them and not me.". Next week will tell you what type of season it will be.

The cracks are starting to show. Howie’s past couple drafts and offseasons are looking pretty awful right now…

The Titans and Commanders are in contention for worst defense in the NFL. There’s Bears have a bad defense.

The Rams have a good defense.

How should we expect the offense to look next week?

When you actually look at it and the moves he’s made it’s embarrassing. To be honest since we won the SB he’s made bad decisions and then compounded them with more.

The draft picks have been awful. I don’t think in the last 2 drafts he’s got a player who’s made a positive impact? That’s not to say Lemon can’t be a good WR, Stowers could develop, Campbell was good and Makuba is just a no.

But the best pick was Campbell and yet actually the process behind it might be the worst of the lot. Because that pick led to Dean leaving and it was very apparent last year Baun and Campbell can’t play together.

They let Williams go to pay Davis who they don’t trust on third down. They let Sweat go to give the opportunities to Nolan (who just ain’t it) and Hunt who is a nice development story but he’s not elite. They’ve neglected safety and they’ve neglected OL for YEARS.

It’s been bad decision compounded by bad decision. They’ve started to invest in defense but I mean that isn’t showing up on the field. What are they going to do with Q and Coop? Got to pay Q, probably should pay Coop but then what about opposite Q? What about safety? The whole thing needs burning down I think.

Honestly at this point I'm not sure if we can beat the Cowboys or the Giants.

People are being level-headed so far.

Still a bad loss. But this team still has talent.

I’m expecting that we start moving away from the multiple TE Mannion stuff (as we don’t having any good ones) and towards more 3 and 4 WR sets. With the condensed formations defenses are given the opportunity to mug up the fronts which alternatively puts a lot of bodies in the box against the run or makes us go hot expecting the blitz (which we don’t handle well when they come or when they drop out).

Well you honestly cant do much worse than last night from a point-scoring perspective.

I don't think anyone is going to be taking solace that we moved the ball before completely forgetting how to move the ball.

As mad or disappointed as I am about last night...over reaction Mon...Tuesday is strong in here.

i don't see them with a win before the bye , i know any sunday but this team should be 0-3

We are very, very lucky we got 7. They really should have seen that clock expire at the half. It was a botched sequence that saw them get lucky.

Also very unlucky with what happened with Dalton.

So I’ll call it a legit 7.

The best thing I can saw about this Eagles team is that the Commanders beat the Seahawks.

Otherwise, the optics would be that the 2026 eagles tried to lose against 2 of the 5 worst teams in the nfl and then got blown out by the Bears with their 3rd string qb.

It only gets tougher from here and they are 2 plays from 0-3 against a total cake walk.

It's absolutely crazy they're still running that Lemon play. At this point you could have just faked it and probably had 40 receivers wide open because they'd be expecting it considering how many times we run it.

The OL and DL are looking mediocre at best which shifts downward the performance of everyone behind them. Put simply the OL needs to run block better and quit giving up quick pressures, and the DL needs to stop the run adequately and pressure the passer with 4 otherwise we’re in for a long season.

They always let the plays go a half sec late or whatever. Keenum scored on a similar play later when the play clock was at 0. As long as the ball is moving before the clock hits 0, it's legit.

Yeah. I hate Monday night games when it's the Eagles. It really sucks to stay up late to watch your team get BTA. If we win I'm ok with working the next day, tired.

Some numbers on offense:

The Eagles offense has now faced (from 2025 season rankings) the 23rd, 27th, and 28th ranked defenses (average =26th). Against that competition, the offense is currently ranked 23rd in the nfl at 18.3 points per game with 1.67 turnovers per game.

In 2025 with the evil Kevin Patullo, the offense ranked 19th with 22.4 points per game and 0.88 turnovers per game. Average opposing defense ranking was 18.71.

So the new offense, against inferior competition, is scoring less points and turning the ball over at 2x the rate of last year.

This loss was eye opening and shows that the two "sort of ugly” wins were cause for concern.

The offense is a mess and has been for a long time. I really didn’t expect a lot of improvement, especially due to the health issues on the O-line and the new OC. They’re a bottom of the pile Offense right now and it’s probably not gonna change much as the season moves on. I’ll gladly eat crow if they prove me wrong.

I’m way more disappointed and frustrated with the defense. They have underperformed in all three games IMO & I’m starting to believe it’s more a trend than early season issues. Stopping the run consistently has been a problem and is partially due to Fangio’s system. The D-line is nowhere close to stout. The D-ends are smallish and don’t hold up at the point of attack. Carter has had a few moments, but that’s not enough for his supposed talent. Davis got paid (I was for that) but he’s been a no show for most of the games. Paying them both could be a colossal mistake.

The linebackers are a liability in both run support and against the pass (I’d say Baun is ok, but not really good at the moment). The secondary has issues with Safety and Nickle CB.

A lot of stuff to fix going forward. Don’t think Fangio has some magic wand to address all the holes in the D. Tackling is still atrocious. Sacks and TFL are rare. Can’t even mention turnovers since we still have a goose egg there.

This frustration is based on what the defense was supposed to be - top 5 or at least top 10…. I don’t see it.

Riq and paying them was all Howie did this offseason. He didn't fix anything else from last year.

So how did we get transported back to last year where the second half sucks again? It seemed they had it figured out and then punt punt punt 3 and out.

Some thoughts:

  • Sometimes coming down to earth with a shocker performance is better than mid losses - we'll know if this team is serious on Sunday by how it reacts. Getting dragged like that on national TV ain't fun

  • Lots of coachable moments - tackling and penalties - that can be fixed easily. Team should do padded practice this week

  • Fangio mentioned that Campbell missing most of TC 2 offseasons in a row was a concern and we can see why. Perhaps he needs a shock of less playing time to show you have to earn things

  • Speaking of liabilities. The Dalton INT is a life moment where I could have done better there. I am no sportsman, let alone a pro QB.

  • Hurts is the conundrum that the O will have to deal with to find success. Its fair to say he is still adjusting to the system, but equally, we need more frp, a Super Bowl MVP than that.

  • He isn't helped with having a rookie play caller, but as a long term vet, its not much mitigation as you still need to execute on plays.

  • Mannion needs get more feel for the game - will come with time - as its too feast/famine and not helping the QB

  • Not sure complaining about Sirianni on O has many legs anymore now its a different system - he was asked to step back and did. Not saying that last system was better, etc etc. We got what we asked for there

Damn...
