Carter is suppose to be a "generational" type player. Coop has been getting owned all season. Campbell is ass in coverage and both safety have been getting butt fd. Cam Ward had one of the best games of his career and Keenum just went offCarter gets a pass hes playing with one arm. Davis has been invisible so far and ojomo has made 1 play and 1 really stupid penalty.Nolan Smith has been a liability against the run. Campbell has been atrocious, I think he leads the team in tackles but all his tackles are 5 or more yards down field and hes lost in coverage, trotter should be playing.Demeanor has been up and down , teams have figured out hes not twitchy enough to stay with small quick guys one on ine, its time to. Move him to safery but Vic refuses too.The safeties are the two worst starting safeties in the league, epps is a serviceable spot guy but makuba is unplayable, he cant tackle but hey at least he cant cover either so he's consistent.Only players worth a dam in D are Hunt who creates a lot of pressure Q who some how gets his hands on a ton of balls but never ints , Baun who isnt getting any help and woolen has been solid when the refs actually let him play instead of calling ticky tac bs.Makuba epps Campbell all need to sit down, makuba needs to sit down in the unemployment line, hes awful, ive never seen an eagles safety have a worse game than makuba did last night.
September 29Sep 29 Well, Fangio got out-coached. Everything within 15 yards of the LOS for the most part and WIDE open. No need to go down field. Both Cater and Nolan Smith are hurt (again) and shouldn't be playing. Hurts was 2nd half trash along with the play calling. Amazing how well we moved the ball in the first half. I think we should do more hurry up offense coming out of halftime as so far our 3rd qtr offense has been horrendous this season. On to the Rams game! I'm in Perkasie this weekend to see my ill brother in law. Haven't watched an Eagles game with my family in years. I am excited. Likely my last with him so gonna be happy and enjoy it.

I'm not giving Carter a pass
September 29Sep 29 Not as much doomsday as I thought I’d see today. Horrid game last night but you just gotta flush the turds and prep for the Rams right?

Wrists are kind of important for DTs not too mention if I had a nickel for every time he gets held id have a ton of nickels. Its unreal that the refs never call a holding for him, ever, theyll call ticky tack bs on Steen and lane last night and JC will get tackled to the ground and refs swallow their whistles every time, its just unbelievable week after week.

It’s his background. this is the style you want to run as an organization. The issue is your head coach (who is an offensive coach), does not know this system. His background is not in this. So you’re trying to combine what he wants and his offense with this entirely new and different scheme/system. Hope is at some point in time, the meshing works and they figure it out. There’s a chance it just doesn’t do that and it doesn’t co-exist. If it can’t then you have to make a decision. Do you wanna go forward with Sirianni. Which means likely going have to run his offense the best way that he knows how. Or if the Mannion/lafleur/mcvey/shanahan type offense is truly what you want then it likely means moving on from sirianni (not going into the hurts discussion as that’s an entirely different rabbit hole I am not going down right now)One of the reasons I picked the team to miss the playoffs is I got bad vibes from the off-season. It felt so haphazardly done with no plan or vision. They weren’t even committed to this system. They tried to hire McDaniel who runs this system, then when he turned them down they tried to get Daboll who doesn’t run this system. So they were just trying to hire a name. Then when multiple guys turned them down they ended up hiring someone off their board. I didn’t get good vibes from the whole process. Not to mention they’re being hired because your head coach isn’t good enough to coach his own offense. They’ve been hiding behind Sirianni’s record for years. I’ve been saying that matters…. Until it doesn’t. I have a feeling this season all those narratives are going to start to collapse as they lose more and more games and look poorly coached more consistently, because it was never a legitimate defense for Sirianni in the first place.
September 29Sep 29 The 2025 draft class is looking shaky (although Kendell helps), but so far so good on Lemon. Every week he gets better. If Bell can play OT as a starter (we'll find out at some point this year), then we're not effed long-term.

Nobody that had any kind of offensive resume wanted to come here...which is an indictment of Sirianni, Hurts and Howie. They ended up with Mannion, who might be "smart", but has virtually zero coaching experience much less as a play-calling OC. I will say that a poor OL will ruin any offense...so, it's really hard to to get a read on Mannion's prowess as of yet. One indicator will be whether or not he can identify things we do well and build on that while scrapping things that are a complete disaster (the screens, etc).
September 29Sep 29 I feel like most of the smoke on here is directed towards the defense. That shouldn’t be the case.

The tackling is very frustrating, and when he got flagged playing out of the slot that was very disappointing as that is an element of the game he should excel at.

I think its more than a little banged up. Im not sure what's up with his wrist its been an issue since he was drafted. When hes healthy ish hes a beast problem is hes rarely health ish.

No one should be surprised that the offense sucks; third-year with Vic and what we thought was a solid core... oof, harder to accept.
