No Smith?

Rams by three scores minimum

Worth pointing out that Fangio referenced in TC that Campbell had basically missed 2 x TCs in a row through injury and alluded as a reason to why he was effectively behind where should be. Can't get those reps back in the season.

You can get those reps back quickly as the offense piles up 3 and outs.

Positivity is flowing today 🤣

Or he’s just not very good

To a point yes, but you miss the on time teaching point. Can't get that when the O is 3 and out/bad INT

Could be - fair to say, 3 games of tape doesn't look good, but its 3 games.

Positivity growing thin these days. I guess Negadelphia is back in full effect. Count me in folks..

@mattwill

Rams: 34

Eagles: 10

Bonus: Fake Santa gets pelted by ice cubes at halftime.

Didn’t look great last season either. I’d give trott a run

I think you do another game of Jurgens at LG with Kendall at OC to see what happens. At some point, however, you need shuffle the deck before either Hurts or the season, or likely both, get killed.

If there is a consensus amongst the coaches that Kendall might have a long-term future at center, great, keep him there. This OL has so few reliable pieces; don't 2023 Jurgens Kendall and make him a guard if he should be a center. Unless Jurgens really does a 180, it can't get much worse at LG. Fred Johnson (out of position), Micah Morris (not ready), and Lampkin (out of his talent depth) should all get a crack at it. At least they are all healthy and weren't in Colombia getting experimental sham treatments on their failed bodies in the offseason. Each may have fatal flaws, but you've got to shuffle the deck and find out.

There is value in keeping at it and not making panic changes...but we are 1 game away from being well beyond that with this interior OL.

Or, hear me out, they work on a quick passing game that works and move the pocket.

@mattwill

Rams - 69

Eagles -0

Rams take a knee on the point after try after their 10th touchdown

I don’t think anyone is going to acknowledge that a quick passing game isn’t going to happen for maybe another 5 years. We’ll just keep blaming the flavor of the year play caller.

Absolutely, he looked like a rookie without a TC out there. We need to see more physically and mentally from Campbell, and he needs to do more on his physique to last through a season. The balance with Trott playing is long vs short term - only the team know if he is progressing or not.

Quick passing game like wr screens

The safety position is amazing to me. Epps is awful and frankly Mukuba isn't very good up to this point. They went into FA and the draft with those two and Carter and all they came out with was a 24 year old injury prone 6th year senior in the 7th round. I don't think Howie listes much to Vic because I can't believe Vic was satisfied with the situation.

I dont think many OCs and DCs are putting in the time like the pro scouting department is.

DCs have to watch the opposing offense to figure out what they want their own defense to do. Vic isnt watching film on 31 other defenses to study individual defensive players.

The scouting department does that.

I think fans have exceptionally overblown the Howie doesnt listen to Vic angle.

Rams 34

Eagles 13

Stafford with 4 TDs

@mattwill

Note: If it were up to me I'd rest Carter, Smith, Goedert, and anyone else that we need to get healthy for the long run. I'd also go ahead and make the move in the secondary even if our guys aren't ready for it. If we steal the game by finally getting some turnovers and other breaks so be it but otherwise this one sets up for a big loss given the context and the opponent and we may as well treat it as a building block in a longgggg season.

You know your defense has problems when both safeties can’t really tackle well and get smoked in coverage also.

Tyler Steen is excellent at passing blocking. There is clearly one fatal flaw on this line that sets the whole offense back and that is at LG. I would IR Jurgens to save the embarrassment and roll with just about any of their backups. Even Majors. He's unplayable for a team that really needs to be a passing offense, when everyone is right. Unfortunately, the contract makes the decision, when it should just be who is best for the job.

Doesn’t make sense that both guards are so high in their island rate.

FWIW, Iheanachor was bad last night.

I was shot down in the offseason when I brought up Smith staying healthy

It was all about removing the toxic diva and that Smith could replace the toxic divas production

Is this the tradeoff for making the protections easier for the tackles? Lane was happy about it, I'm not.

I thought Lane said the offense isn't going to have them be on an island and it was going to be more help. He sounded excited about that. Has it not been that?
