I don’t like that everyone was pencilling in a second year 5th round pick with (at the time) zero playing experience as some viable long term starter.I’m often right, often wrong, but I really don’t flip flop. My interest in establishing a track record of being right is zero.I am getting the general message in which you stated that he was a journeyman or reserve type. Which is a JAG. I think you are going to be wrong on the OL being as bad as you say, if they have the balls to chop Jurgens. Lampkin would be better. He is a fighter when he anchors in pass protection and more twitchy. And in the run game, which I believe is his forte right now, he gets to the 2nd level and beats up LBs and safeties. Just more athletic and has that wrestling background to hang in there and fight. But Jurgens is pretty dang bad right now. I didn't think he could replicate Dickerson's putrid play. He's like a walking meme. Getting trucked and swatted at like a fly as the DL heads to knock out Hurts. Think this line can be functional in due time. The mistake people are making is comparing them to an all-time great Eagles OL from 2024.I feel like 4/5 of the line is playable. Average or above average in each spot. I was OTR, that I think the OL depth on this team has been upgraded. Showing up so far with the Kendall addition. Also, think Bell at RT is promising. And they will eventually figure out guard in season and in the offseason. Im not saying Lampkin is the long term answer either. It's really about stopping the bleeding there. I think he will fill in and do well. Think there's some promise there going forward overall with the line.

[1]Passing Metrics Breakdown2.67 Seconds: Current average time to throw, ranking 28th out of 36 qualified NFL passers.Historical Trend: Stafford has gradually increased his time to throw since 2022 (2.60s in 2022, 2.61s in 2023, 2.65s in 2024, and ~2.74s in 2025).Context: The extra time in the pocket reflects improved offensive line play in Los Angeles and a willingness to let plays develop downfield, highlighted by an average depth of target over 9.9 yards. When they needed to make a change, the coaches opted for Kendall at C. He has done OK there. If they want to put Dickerson on IR, will they return to the preseason lineup, or just insert Lampkins at LG? Either way, would like to see how Lampkins performs in real game.

And they obviously dont think that much of Jurgens in that role going forward. So they had to find a spot for him (just gave him a huge extension last season). Makes sense to start a young guy where he's really comfortable. I think Kendall could play guard on a fill in basis. Lampkin, I think is just that Swiss army knife valuable reserve, really for the entire line. He has extensive experience in his 5 year college year career in playing across the line, even tackle. Besides that, Eagles are unimaginative, if they can't find some kind of role for him, whether it be at FB or at TE. Or even be a back for Tush Push and not slam Hurts into a line each time. Looking forward to seeing him out there on the field.

Every Eagles fan knew going into the season, that LD and CJ were on borrowed time. They are shot. Period. This is not a finished product and you have to be able to see the pipeline and depth, like Kendall and there will be others. There is literally one weak link on the line currently. And it has been fatal to date. He will be ditched and all will be well. The Eagles always were gonna give LD and CJ the first crack this year, but there wouldn't be an endless leash. Patience grasshopper. This will be a solid line once Jurgens is yanked or they just IR him. They already told you they don't think much of him at C, so they are trying him at G. And it's going nightmarishly awful in pass protection. They see that too. I assume. If it weren't for his contract, he would be adios. It will play out...
