Btw, f Stowers. Is dude that dumb he can't pickup the offense? He was a reach to begin with. Vandy produces sheet

I would go a step further and ask, why was he even drafted where he was.

It might be time for a new QB too. I love Jalen and he is a winner but if they are going to actually commit to a system based on timing, quick decisions, etc he isn't the right guy for the job. I also just think this organization needs to tear things down a bit and build it back up and investing massive dollars in a QB isn't the way to do that. Some QB desperate team will also give up a valuable pick or two for Hurts which would help fill all of the many holes this team has.

HOU, post-June 1st.

I know the O was decimated and Siri/Manion were terrible as well but today we got about 32.3 yards per $1m based on QB1s AAV and a 17 game season!

Hindsight is always 20/20. Davis was a flat out monster last season. I'm not sure anyone expected him to pull a complete and total disappearing act after getting paid the way he has.

You don't trust a guy who was lazy playing for a contract

And look again I get that… but he overlooked OL Ssfety and edge the previous year too. And so he forced himself in to that situation.

Taking a project TE over the Tulsa S in the 2nd rd was a joke

What will actually happen is they will make a couple of incremental improvements, get to 8 or 9 wins, and blame the year on the early season injuries.

No real changes get made, both Hurts and Sirriani get another year. Except maybe Vic retires.

And we suck again in 2027.

It looks like 8 or 9 wins will win this division this year.

I don’t give a F if it does.

They’re not winning a championship, I assure you. Which is all that matters for a team who should have had several years of a Super Bowl window.

At the 1/4 point. This is the week you IR Jurgens and Majors then fills the open roster spot. And we move on and in the right direction. If not, I will have lost hope on their ability to adjust and realize this is just this one stubborn bunch that can't get the heck out of their own way.

Why is DT not on the table

You’d have 2 $100m DTs and a first rounder at DT when on over 50% of the snaps only 2 of them will be on the field. I’ll pass on that much capital being spent at 1 position.

Like Davis the person. Credit it to him played very well last year in basically a contract year as 5th year option either eagles signing him long term or letting him walk after that. But frankly i don’t think he’s worth what they paid him. I’d have let him play under his 5th year to see if he could replicate it. Cause at that point you’d have more info to decide between Ojomo and him.

Someone mentioned McKee earlier today. And at least twice last week against the Bears too. And then another post just a page or two ago said something to the effect of "wanting to see what this offense looks like with another QB", which I assumed meant a backup given that this offense won't necessarily remain intact after this season.

Well with how Hurts has played the last few years do you blame people for wanting to see what a different QB can do in this offense?

If it wasn't for Coopers amazing circus catch that was going to be Int this game would have been a lot worse

Jeez, Sirianni and Hurts sucked.

I openly questioned signing both Davis and Carter this offseason. Maybe one. At worst, you leave one door open for Ojomo. That money was burning a hole in Howie's pocket. Just like when he extended Jurgens and Barkley unnecessarily.

Yeah I do, because it oversimplifies the issues with the offense. There's a reason why guys like Case Keenum can go to Chicago and have success in that offense and it's not because he's some underrated talent that flies under the radar.

Curious to why they aren't apportioning blaming Hurts or Mannion. Sirianni's O is not this

Can we trade or release one of the said $100m DTs

Some of you people thought the Shannahan system could make life easier for Hurts because it provides easy throws. Others of us have realized that quick processing is still needed to make that offense work.

The Shanahan and McVay offenses have made QBs lacking attributes look much better. Daniel Jones had a bit of a resurgence last year. Purdy is a limited QB who looks awesome most of the time in SF, but we have also seen backups play there and play amazing. The Rams have had Bennett and Simpson both look amazing in their limited opportunities so far.

Its no surprise that Ben Johnson's amazing system allows backups to play well.

And while Keenum may be an extremely limited QB, if he just possesses the head to play the position even a little bit, he is the kind of guy who can succeed in an offense that provides easy outlets.

Hurts would never succeed in any of those offenses.

Flog Sirianni. Then fire him. Seriously. He’s done here. Mannion is not ready but I think we’re stuck with him. The defense won that game and the HC pissed it away. 0 for 11 on third down and 0 for whatever on fourth. Not to mention sucking on first down. That was a professional disgrace.

You have to be able to actually coach it for them to process quickly. These guys can't. Mannion is off to an embarrassing, Brian Johnson-esque start. Its looking like there's a reason he was 4th or 5th choice or whatever

Good luck finding a quote from me saying this because I never said anything to that effect.

I’m just gonna put this out there, it could be that your quarterback and your head coach are both simultaneously the problem. I tend to believe sirianni isn’t a good enough coach to elevate the talent when talent on the roster is not great. I kind of think Jalen hurts limitations are getting exposed especially in an offense that’s really not suited for his abilities.

Personally I'd like to see Hurts with a different HC and I'd like to see Sirianni with more a pure passer at QB.

Pretty sure they're gonna get split up after this season.

Good year to have two 1’s and draft a Heisman imo

It would have been an ugly win but our chance of winning was sooo much higher before that idiot went for it on 4th and then again on 4th
