Imagine the tone of this board tonight if Jonathan Jones learned how to catch a football or Cam Jurgens wasn't a clutz. This team has alot of issues right now. Yet they could have and should have won this game against a supposed top NFC opponent. It is still really hard to gauge what we fully have here. Like to see see the offense with a healthy Goedert, Devanta and a brand new left guard. A traffic cone. Anyone with a pulse.

Things are discombobulated and in disarray with all the injuries and sudden changes. Bell had 0 reps in practice. This team is shooting itself in the foot way too much. Will that last all year? We will see. The way they lost and who they lost to, makes this sting and compounds the loss. Yet, and still it's one loss only. New game next week. They are still 2-2 and in the hunt. If they are 2-4 in a couple weeks, then we can start panicking. Little early still. Gotta survive this first half of the season with all the injuries and change. Need to get reinforcements and make some adjustments. Just need a win. Doesn't have to be pretty. I don't think the Rams care that they just won an ugly football game. They survived from being 1-3 and have a new found hope going forward. Just takes a win and the perspective changes.

I'm curious how you feel Hurts played

You can get in a Shanahan guy, a McVay guy or an Andy Reid guy, but really the only thing that will work and get the best out of Hurts is getting a Lincoln Riley guy and play a college offense.

I've spent years defending the guy but it's clear that he just doesn't have the game for playing under center football and it's time the Eagles faced it.

Well said. He was a one read RPO guy at Alabama. He was a one read Air Raid guy at OU.

If he can’t run anymore, the only option is to get a Mike Leach disciple in as OC. Good luck getting a decent DC that wants to coach with an OC that doesn’t value T.O.P.

Reading back, don’t have the energy to really engage in a lot of the convo…all I have to say is the SB win was awesome. However, even that season was mostly not a fun watching experience. Jones comes away with that pick and we possibly have a repeat of the 2024 jags game. A game Siri and the O tried their best to throw away, defense was poised to give up a lot game collapse and lose in embarrassing fashion because they’re worn out. But Dean saves the day and the season. I have constantly pointed to that jags game as the turning point of the 2024 season. The fight left the players eyes on that arguably right call to make 4th and goal failure yesterday.

I want to remain hopeful about them being able to turn it around, but honestly from 2023 and on the nearly complete ineptitude or extreme inconsistency of the O by and large and Siri being Siri has sapped my enjoyment out of watching this team and football overall. This is just who this team is under Siri. It is past time to break it down and rebuild. Dynasties are rare, they tried.

So are you saying THE REAL TEST is Jacksonville?

You watched the first game and are seriously bringing Hurts can't run today? WTH.

I don't know that Hurts is coachable at this point, Mannion is telegraphing what we're playing by dumping the under center passing plays, and at this point I can't really say Hurts isn't the issue any more, because another OC has removed a chunk of his advertised playbook is hard to deny and though I get Sirianni is the lightning rod, he was taken out of the playcalling equation and Mannion is Howie's guy all the way, I don't think the OC is the problem or the HC (albeit he has made some dumb situational decisions) I now think they're hostages to a QB that can only play one way and every DC on the league knows it.

Saying Hurts is no longer coachable is equivalent to saying Sirianni doesn't provide anything other than being a guy who runs the team with a HC title - what has Sirianni done to help improve the offense.......not arguing or defending Hurts here, just spitballing.........but honestly? Now Hurts can be jekyll and hyde........with some very frustrating performances, and Hurts helps us lose games just like Sirianni did yesterday.

So far, neither one has really done enough for fans to want them back in 2027......this has been a VERY poor start at 2-2 with little to be excited about, with 3 games against not so good opponents - but I don't see where we dump both and possibly promote Mannion to HC.

The front office watched two experienced OC's work with a medicore QB and appear in 2 SB's.......yes I know Barkley helped a ton.........and we had Smitty/Brown.........so why Howie/Sirianni/Lurie did we allow Brian Johnson, Kevin Patullo and potentially Sean Mannion to come in as unexperienced guys and hope they change something that can't really be changed? All while having a talented roster, with a window, and your division opponents are struggling to break .500 ball.

This whole team plan and philosphy has failed, it's been boom or bust.....and when it's good, it's like we got cocky as an organization and made dumb offseason decisions.

Outside of Cam they played their asses off yesterday. The reason they lost is Nick. Period. His idiotic choices, his not bringing crap to the table, his getting his hands into things. If he was sent into space today the team would win more games just because of his absence. He is a hindrance and a clown.

Hurts looked like the MVP of the league in the first half last week. He isn't perfect but people need to stop. Look at the routes they are running. Look at the plays they are calling. Look at a guard who can't block. Hurts looks bad when he goes into this offense is BS mode. It's Nick.

I just want to know what happened to the bootlegs?

He’s been bad…very bad, but hurts and the OL have been in a complete symbiotic relationship. For the most part the OT play has been very good. We’ve gotten decent interior play from time to time. When that happens hurts is normal hurts backpedaling into the outside rushers instead of taking the room given to step up. Then we’ve seen horrid miscommunication and breakdowns on blitzes with half the OL looking lost.

Hurts is essentially leading or at the bottom of the league in time to throw (depending on how you want to interpret that). It’s honestly hard to tell if that’s because the OL is horrid, he’s been that bad or it’s a combo.

Hurts carries are down to 5.3 carries in his first 4 games. He has typically been 9.5 carries per game in first 4 games in his career.

YPC is about the same, so to your point, CAN run? Yes. WILL run? Not as much. Either way, without the dual threat, he has to become quicker with decisions and better with reads.

Cam has cost the Eagles so much this season. It’s crazy really. Some of these games would look so different without him being a complete liability. And clutz.

I feel bad because I know he played through some tough stuff but he’s just not it.

And yes Sirianni is on my last nerve. No one can convince me he isn’t messing with Mannions offense. This crap looks way too familiar at times.

Right now, I believe it's fair to be critical of everything.

It starts with Sirianni, "right?" If something needs fixing, he has to prove competent in fixing the issue(s).

Then you have the face of the franchise, Hurts, telling us every week he needs to be better and that still hasn't happened.

Finally, all over the team we have so called leaders, captains --- when will we finally see leadership demonstrated during a game? Practice leadership is great, but game leadership is invisible.

The FO sealed Siri off this offseason. I’m not trying to defend Siri. You want to fire Siri because it’s messed up to have a HC who calls time outs, decides when to go for it on 4th, and does nothing else…go for it.

But they couldn’t fire him because of his recent track record. So they put him in the basement, hired their own OC with a new system.

Everyone needs to get it through their head that Siri is ornamental to this offense and to this team.

We can’t blame everything on Patullo, then blame everything on Siri the next year when it’s been made very clear that a FO appointed OC is running everything.

Statistically, we are by far the worst team in the league playing under center.

any chance it looks familiar because about 5 different play callers are compromising their unique system to adapt to the same qb? We’d rather assume that Siriani just insists on meddling and making the offense similarly horrible every year despite handing off the entire system and play calling to a new guy this year?

Must be the new coordinator

That fake BG thing spread like fire though

Great, we established he can still run and can move on from that other horrible narrative.

Horrible take. He isn't in the basement it looks like his BS again.

You can't be f'ing serious. I can't deal with a pro Nick post today. He is a POS. The more he puts his thumb on the scale the worse Hurts looks for a reason.

His thumb is off the scale this season on O -the OC is not even if his vicinity on game day and the system they are running is not his as the FO basically mandated something different - change or you are fired. The fact the O is broadly in the same position its been under different OCs and now schemes suggests Sirianni isn't the primary negative factor here (but is a factor as HC, don't get me wrong). It's a convenient deflection point that has had merit in other seasons, but won't wash now.

If Sirianni was a POS, then why are his players so loyal to him? Anyone who has watched sports long enough can see when players down tools and want the HC fired. We aren't there yet but as HC, he needs to pressure his staff to be a lot better at their jobs as its not been good enough (we can all agree on that). The fact he's lasted the 2nd longest time under Lurie's ownership suggests your perception of him perhaps isn't the reality - they binned off Kelly when they got sick of his act. I do not for one moment doubt he is a very abrasive man at times, and that can work to his detriment. But he's hardly some drooling dummy, lucky to be there - otherwise it implies the Owner and FO are stupid for hiring him in the first place and keeping him so long.

No. You have a coach who continually gets involved. Hurts was smiling and looking happy and the routes were better and now it's the Siri boring BS again.

Stick to British football. You have horrible takes and don't get the game.

So the offense is just bad when Siri decides to step in and make it awful and grab the reins from an OC that would otherwise be doing a good job?

You really think all was going well…and Siri said…”yep, this offense is too exciting, I need to step in and drag it down”
