October 6Oct 6 I thought last year was rock bottom in a "championship window” after 2nd collapse in 3 years but this year has a whole new basement.

October 6Oct 6 Just found about Lane retiring and I have to say my feelings all over the place. On one hand he is one of the greatest Eagles of all time and one of my favorite players. He gave the team over a decade of great football and was a key reason they won two SB's. I wish him nothing but the best with his family situation and hope that he is ok as it relates to this mental health struggles. On the other hand, he quit on the team point blank period. Had he retired in the off-season it's a completely different situation. The fact of the matter is the entire off-season and then season revolved around him being the team's RT. I mean, we were three games into the season and he just decided he was done and walked away an hour before the 4th game. I'm not mad at Lane, and when time goes by I doubt I will hold this against him but right now it's hard not to to some degree. I said the 2027 off-season will be time to officially say good-bye to this era of Eagles football and make major changes and I can't help but feel like this decision by Lane is emblematic of that era being over right now. Let the tank begin and hope for a top 10 pick.

I don’t want to be an overly empathetic wimp anymore, do you think we should let him know about the 988 hotline though? Or is that showing too much compassion and understanding?

Arguably he was THE best player during the best era of Eagles football. Without him we might not have a single super bowl let alone two. I wish him well and hope everything works out with his mental health struggles and family situation and I am not mad at him and as time goes by I probably won't even hold this against him. Right now though, he quit on a team that is a sinking ship and that is just a terrible way to end an all time great career. ALL of this is true and it's ok.

Stupid to feel that way you are immature. It's been an hour you should be over it already.

Nobody forced him into it this summer and he could have walked away. He owes his team, teammates, and fans that. Greatest ever but a dick move. Funny how that position bothers you so much. Very telling. Our sires’ age was worse than our grandsires’. We, their sons, are more worthless than they; so in our turn we shall give the world a progeny yet more corrupt.

October 6Oct 6 I'm actually excited about the new Oline. It's the new generation with Mailata as the vetNow that's only with Cam not playing

We got lucky on that pick.
