Hurts played like dog ish for majority of the game but with a bunch of backups he put them in position to win and Nick said not on my watch.

See people like you are the people I have a problem with. I don't even love the guy as a QB and I'm certainly not a Hurts Hugger. He played well the first half and struggled in the 2nd. He missed open people and had bad throws. He didn't play well, but he didn't play like dog ish unless you have an agenda and hate the guy. Just after the coach blew the game people were blaming him. I don't even want to hear he had a bad game at that point. The only thing people should have been talking about is how inept Nick was. When you hurdle that and jump to him it's obvious you are clueless about the game and just hate the guy. The guy was missing 7 starters and put them in a spot to win the game with 8 seconds left. All QBs miss throws and play poorly at times. That's not letting Hurts off the hook, but there is a difference between that and skipping over the other issues and going directly to him.

He made enough plays to win that one.

Clearly backed up by the 3 second half points the Eagles scored.

Or maybe it was the 25 second half plays for 54 yards before the field goal that is making your point.

I am not sure which you are going with.

Being surrounded by crap on offense today is an extremely difficult spot and it’s not Hurts fault. I agree with that.

Let that be a reminder that Hurts was surrounded by 10 pro bowl quality players on offense for years.

Not his fault now (I genuinely agree it’s not), but recognize he was never that good then.

He has incredible intangibles but needs a more ideal situation than most elite / high level QBs do to have consistently good games.

Otherwise you get a series of clunkers like the past few weeks.

Its hard to repetadely put that talent around him when he is not a rookie scale deal anymore.

No, what I am telling you is they view their approach because they have a larger sample size than 3 weeks that you’re complaining about. They’re gonna stick with what their approach is because for the last decade it has served them well. They’re not gonna be like we gotta change this or tweak this because 2 1/2 weeks hasn’t gone away.

And you keep talking about they making tweaks when they have to. they’ve waited too long to sometimes make changes. You seem to forget that point when you bring this up. They sat there with Landon Dickerson for an entire year when he couldn’t play. It took him a year and a game to finally figure it out. So they’re not always very quick on making changes sometime.

So yeah, I tend to believe they probably aren’t gonna switch up or change or tweak what they believe is the best model. which has served them well and successful for a decade based off 2 Fing weeks

Ok, we are just going around in circles now. Let’s see what happens. In any case, they should change. I guess you might agree with that.

Washington’s blunder is going to cost us the division. Wait and see.

I think they sweep the Giants. But that's if they are healthy only. Not with this current hodge podge roster. They need stability on that line. Kendall back at least. And Smith and Barkley.

I missed the end of the NYG - Commies game. Just saw it right now.

Holy $h!t does nobody in the NFC east want to win a football game? Is everyone trying to lose? 😆

What about all the other throws that were way to high or behind the receivers? Were the recs too fast on those plays, cause it cant be Hurts fault.

Do you expect perfection out of a QB any week let alone missing 7 starters? The guy missed throws, missed open WRs, and has a tendency to panic when he's facing pressure. Why are you skipping past the other larger issues and worrying about Hurts when the coach just blew the 2nd game in a row and as bad as Hurts was at times in the 2nd he did enough to put them ahead with 8 seconds left. Are you giving him credit for the OPI that blew a drive? How about DG dropping a ball to put them in 2nd or 3rd and short on the 2nd to last drive? He's far from flawless but when you have a hole in the boat the size of Nick that's where the focus needs to be. We don't even know the full extent of his influence on the offense or the damage he is doing, but what we can see is enough to know he blew two games in a row.

Yes. He scored 14 in the 1st half. And they had a 14-10 lead with a few minutes left and 17-16 with 8 seconds left. Yep its Hurts' fault. He caused that whole demise by himself. And played all 22 positions at once that self destructed.

Seth isnt wrong.

Today on offense.

3rd string udfa Center. Rookie 2nd string RT playing his second game.

Fred Johnson at RG.

A 3rd string udfa LG

A 4th string RB

A rookie WR who was hurt all camp, an udfa 2 year wr and another WR on a bad hammy.

A TE with a had wheel and another TE whose like 40 years old coming off serious injury, another OC and a head coach who cant make a simple decision without ten beancounters and 4 mega computers telling him what to do.

Considering what hurts had to work with today it was going to be tough sledding from the start

He was clutch at the end of game today. And they blew it. Game was over < 97% chance of winning. This was an all time choke job. Certainly not by Hurts.

Is the choke on Hurts? Absolutely not.

What about being the qb of one of the nfl’s worst offenses through 5 weeks and putting up 17 points? And putting up 3 points in a second half in which they got the ball in the 3rd?

The choke never happens if the offense isn’t hot garbage in the first place.

Clutch? Yes. Flat out bad when not being clutch for one drive at the end of the game? That too.

I don’t disagree with you that they should consider making changes. However, I just don’t think they’re gonna do it and they’re gonna use the Bs reasons I gave you.

On that 4th and 3, I’m not even sure punting it was the dicusssion. Jake Elliott has made from 56 and 58 yards this year. He has the leg to make it from 60 yards especially in solid conditions. I wish one of the reporters would’ve asked sirianni about that. cause really Wouldn’t have been a surprise if sirianni was debating kicking the FG or going for it and not punting

Any qb would have had a tough time with what hurts had out there today.

Hurts and the offense are averaging 18 points per game ahead of 6 other teams. Build him a statue.

I’m no expert but I’m far from completely giving up on Hurts as the franchise QB. However, he’s clearly not the guy they want running THIS offense.

I have 5 posts before this blaming nick for the loss and this one does too.

Hurts didnt play well, im not sure any qb would with what hurts had out there and he still put them in a position to win and nick snatched it away

Read that however you want, dont café if you have a problem with me, if you have a problem with my post or opinion then we can discuss that.

LOL @ mike Evans trash talking Diggs by peeking at the back of his jersey as in "who are you again?" 🤣

I don’t see how Seattle are sb faves 😬

I wish. He should’ve gone last year after that OC debacle; stop with the cheerleader HCs.

I think two things can be true. Hurts does not fit this offense. It does not do what he does well. So you’re not really using his strengths and maximizing his talent.

second thing is, sirianni has no background in this offense. So he is essentially useless to Sean mannion and the assistant trying to run this particular offense and implement it. So you’re essentially asking a bunch of assistants (some who weren’t very good elsewhere) and a first year OC who’s also play calling for the first time to implement it and have it be functional.

Imo if they want to run this offense, I think you gotta get rid of sirianni and get a coach in here who has extensive background and experience in it. Also have to move on from Hurts for a quarterback that excels in that type of offense.

I’m just so over this era of eagles football. I’m over sirianni and wondering if it’s his offense or not, im over his brain dead decisions, I’m over the hurts discussions every week, I’m over the defense falling apart at the most inopportune times…idk what needs to happen, I just know I can’t wait for something to be different…

Having Pierce and Mundt on any snap is like playing 9 on 11. They did miss Barkley today. Cuz Pierce is not good and Mundt should just be replaced by an OL if he can't catch. And I'm not seeing him that good at blocking to justify his existence. Maybe we can call that a coaching issue or Howie issue for putting him there. OL gets a mulligan 💯 today for being brand new and young. And dumb. They probably were okay in the post game summary. Still alot of stuff that can be better personnel wise and coaching wise going forward if they keep at it. Should we blame Hurts for not having a running game today? At all. Yeah, why not.

8 seconds.

Yup they almost over came possibly the worst game day offensive roster I can think of in a while, and Nick took it away.

Hurts was clutch as usual when it mattered an left the field with his team in the lead with 8 seconds left.

And Nick screwed the pooch. It was such an easy call to just kick it out of the back of the end zone and defend the hail Mary.

I dont think anyone with what the eagles had on O expected the eagles to compete let alone have a lead and possible win with 8 seconds left, and as tough as that game was to watch seeing Nick lose it in the end on a bone headed call is just so deflating.

If im a player im pissed, they played their guts out super shorthanded and did enough to win save the last 8 seconds because the coach had a brain fast.

Disgusting way to lose
