October 12Oct 12 Is to clown still HC? Did he get on the flight back to the US? Hopefully someone left him in the bar or better yet the middle of Peckham, Brixton or Tottenham itself.

I don’t even pay attention to those types of trends anymore because this coach isn’t able to take advantage of it.
October 12Oct 12 Eagles averaged 1.2 yards per rushing attempt. Can’t win doing that no matter who is at QB.

October 12Oct 12 Imagine what would happen if the eagles tried giving Hurts a play like this.https://www.facebook.com/reel/1121649840418642
October 12Oct 12 I've been saying it, but I'd love to see us go to a college style spread offense. Teams arent ready for it, everyone is going heavy. Hurts would have more room to run as well.We should never run 12 again. It's 20% of our plays according to the internet. Why? At this point Goedert barely belongs on the field

We keep inviting bodies into the box and we're using our worst personnel group to do it. I'd much rather let Hurts play the numbers game and get our WRs and RBs on the field instead of our horrible TEs

"When I'm up at night, I think about should I have said something? Should I have took a step back and say wait? But ultimately, there's a commitment to going out there and executing."Sounds like Hurts has plenty of bad ideas of his own.

It reminds me so much of 1995 Randall Cunningham where Gruden tried to force Randall to be a 3 5 7 step drop WCO offense and it predictably didnt work. But yeah hurts reluctance to run at all is odd

I agree hurts does better with spread concepts than he does in a 3 5 7 west coast timing offense.

He doesn't know this system or have working relationships with these guys.It was a bit of a panic hire thought because I think the Eagles felt they could convince Stout to stay on as OL coach only and move to the new scheme.Between the change in scheme and not having the run game game co-ordinator title anymore, he said Stout out.The desire for shift in offensive scheme thought I think first came from the top (Howie, Lurie) to see if that can help the team break out of its offensive funk from last year, not Siri. And so far, its not working at all with the current set up (HC with no experience of the system / a very young coach trying to implement / merge with what Eagles do well / this QB etc etcIts clear that the FO and Owner mandated change downwards, and Mannion is looking to be the unfortunate patsy in this mandate. Fox blaming Sirianni is lazy journalism when the senior mgmt are respsonsible9 hours ago, HazletonEagle said:More of the Hurts quote, makes it even worse. So much for 100% alignment, 0% entitlement. First one to break is the franchise QB. Good leadership. As if there werent a million things about his own performance he could have focused on."Again, it's not my place, and we're prepared. I'm prepared as a quarterback to not worry about those things. I'm honoring the play call, honoring the things that are coming in the game. When I'm up at night, yeah, I think, man, should have I said something or should I have took a step back and said, wait. But ultimately, there's a commitment to that and going out there and executing. So this was one where it did not work in our favor.”Worth noting the HC covered for Hurts and AJ Brown last season when they changed the called play, it didn't work and made himself look like an incompetent HC. Hurts is being naughty here - if you are being uncharitable he's thinking about himself vs the team in those comments.

He's slow as hell in pretty much everything he does until he's 10 yards downfield with a full head of steam. His short burst is shot so he can't "take off" running, when he starts to scramble it looks like he's running through molasses

October 12Oct 12 I find it amusing that we are all well aware QBs are involved in this process. It’s been documented Hurts involvement in this last year. And we are well aware that they have sacrificed and scapegoated numerous playcallers over the years to protect and improve Hurts and the passing game. And now, as it all falls apart, Hurts is saying nah that’s not me I don’t get involved in that. For a player whose best traits are supposed to be leadership, that doesn’t come across well.

Would amazing if he became a starter but idk if it's feasible at that size in today's NFLHe has an unusual size but I think his size disadvantage is overstated. He has above average strength and anchor ability. His height gives him leverage. His size is only a problem if he can not get his hands on defenders. His wingspan is 78 1/8th". This is what Mockdraftable lists as averages for OG and OC:He is below average in the OG category. His wingspan is above average at OC. I think he is close enough in each that it probably does not create an issue. We saw both Dickerson and Jurgens fail because they could not move their feet and stay in front of defenders. Lampkin did not have that issue. He was not getting tossed by defenders. He held his ground and drove them in the run game.
