a bad take is getting something wrong unintentionally, this pos made light of his injury and then insinuated he was faking it. That's pretty much a fireable offense in that line of work.

That doesn't accomplish anything. People are just being petty and "You insulted my QB now you gotta pay!"

Live and let live. People are so Fing vindictive these days. Everyone's gotta be fired. Let it roll off your back, the sun will come up tomorrow I promise.

These ignoramuses all along wanted to foolishly pin the lack of team success on one guy. I think they realize they are not so smart today. This team stinks throughout. 4-13 ahead. Maybe had a shot in a bad dlvision with Hurts. It's gone now. Hurts was on the bottom of the list of problems with this team.

Yeah, we are likely done, but there's the slim chance the team could rally due to this. At this point I'm just hoping we play spoiler for certain teams and prevent certain playoff scenarios, but if we somehow manage to win this division I'll be shocked.

I'm no doctor but I'd like to know if the clot in the calf migrated to the lungs or are those new and separate clots.

If those are separate clots, we might not see Jalen for a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time. The origin of this being from getting cleated is....weird.

Extremely weird.

It's premature to say, that makes me wonder if there's a clotting issue...

by the time they get to the trade line, it might not be a question for him. They easily could lose the next three games. They could win the next three because they’re not that hard of opponents. But there is a better chance that they lose all three with how they look currently. So if they’re sitting there at 2-7 the decision has been made. They’re not gonna just trade everybody away. But guys they know aren’t long-term in their plans are likely going to be dealt or try to be dealt.

I'd think the targets to trade:

Woolen - only $1.26mm base salary and some playing time incentives, so a very attractive contract. Hopefully a 3rd? $8.6mm in 2027 dead cap.

Goedert - $1.3mm base salary, so very tradeable. Causes $18mm in 2027 dead cap. Not sure if he has value.

Ojomo - ~$3.7mm salary, no associated dead cap. Maybe a 3rd?

Steen - not sure he has value, $3.6mm salary and like ~350k dead cap

All guys who likely walk in the offseason anyway.

Division is pretty bad. I wouldn’t be that shocked. I don’t expect it as we are bad. Frankly this division might actually be worse than 2020. Which is hard to believe

This is a SELL SEASON, so the record will be bad on that account too. And guys going down like flies every week. It's laughable...

2020 gave us real Mailata reps that showed he could be a starter. Bell, Kendall, and Lampkin are getting this year. We should be going out of our way to feature Lemon on offense, Stowers to a much lesser extent. And yeah, at some point we should see if there’s anything worth developing with Cole Payton.

Whoa, not good. Hope he recovers without issue, DVT and embolism in both lungs is no joke.

Seems like it’s probably not smart to have 4 guys blocking one guy on this play as well

Is this the first play of the game where Lumpkin is supposed to pull and block up the opposite gap... that might work on paper, but #58 is off to the races. Play annihilated. OZ can have problems with penetration just due to talented DL hitting the gaps - now we got safeties and LBs too, oh my.

I will reserve judgement until Tanner has a full week of practice, and maybe the offensive staff putting in plays he is comfortable with, and find more than 1 healthy RB. Speaking of RB's, some practice squad guys I would try to snatch up 1 of.

I thought you'd be thrilled to know Ginger Dalton signed elsewhere.

Not when you are embracing the tank like I am. Howie needs to trade everyone and replace them with Gingers

Is anyone at all concerned that some people feel in Indy that he's a great X's and O's guy, but can't keep the locker room together? Just me? Okay then.

Something about Mannion kind of gives me the vibes that the things he's teaching somewhere in the offense are too complex and nuanced, and has guys overthinking ball. I definitely think it might be OL, but I can't imagine a former QB known for his intelligence in ball would be watching guys blow blitz pickups this frequently and just have no answers whatsoever. I mean, even Sirianni coached QBs for a year or so. This feels like people are swimming to me.

I mean. Howie's entire roster died, and he lost his franchise QB. The record without Lane for the team is abysmal and they have no replacement. If you account for the situation at the start of the season, pretty sure only the future HOF coaches (Reid, Shanahan, McVay) would survive this one.

Also, most importantly, the FO was in on this and seemed to want the Shanahan scheme. This is on them just as much as anyone. You wanted Wide Zone and to see how things would work without Sirianni's fingerprints on it? You got it, but you (the FO) then can't act like it's all Sirianni's fault when you were meddling in the process. The FO pretty much pulled a Sean Desai because they were focused on a scheme type.

McVay? He is not surviving his dream team, let alone 5th string RB, 2nd string QB, 4th string O line.

With some of these reach blocks we might need Stowers 4.5 40 time.

Mannion isn't going to be replaced. I think the bigger question is who was responsible for the Mannion hire? If this was forced on everyone because Lurie and Howie wanted the Shanahan offense, then this is on them. They reap what they sow. The entire OC search process came off as dysfunctional. Mannion not being good was always the most likely outcome.

Superficial clot to DVT with multiple clots in his lungs sounds fishy. I am in over my head on the matter but it just seems like something doesn't add up.

My guess is there could be some level of predisposition they didn't know about. Sometimes freak things can be found by chance, similar to that blood vessel cluster in Mike Paterson's brain.

I think he is doomed with a bad OL. No running game. Bad coaching. And everything else moving around him at lightning speed. I think he's a mediocre backup in this league at his peak.

I'm good with bringing an entirely new mindset into the building on offense. Sirianni should be canned, this is almost a carbon copy of Doug's last season.

Time to start looking at prospective HCs, preferably offensive minded. That would pretty much preclude steichen coming back anyway, not sure he would want to be an OC under a truly offensive minded HC who would likely run a different system.

You realize that if people used their brains, they'd realize it being a carbon copy of Doug's last season (it isn't yet though) isn't an argument to fire him because Doug only got fired because he wanted to keep Press Taylor after the season, right?

At his age. Very not good

The Offense was a mess BEFORE the injuries. Not sure whom to fire, or where to even begin to fix the mess that it is. 😣😬☹️

I think the Panthers RT, Moten (?), developed the same issue in July - ironically 1st game back was against us.

There’s some chatter that the Eagles medical staff didn’t do a full body scan after the Rams again, only a scan on his leg. If that’s the case the clots in his lung could have been there the whole time?

I find it hard to believe the staff was this negligent, that’s losing your license type of stuff.

Depends on whether the standard of having a medical license is different for normal individuals vs athletes, because if it was about a normal individual, that's sadly quite normal with our medical system.
