I’m betting the eagles had info that the giants were willing to select smith enough to move up 2 picks to go get him. I look at who else would come up to get smith if the eagles didn’t or would select him? Cardinals? They really don’t need smith either with Kirk, Hopkins, Isabella and green. Chargers weren’t. New England wanted Mac jones. Raiders? Maybe they would’ve but they really need defensive help.  Miami wasn’t after waddle. Washington? Maybe don’t see them giving up what Chicago basically did to get to 10 to do it. Indy, ten and min really don’t need WR. Feels like the giants were gonna take smith if he was there.

Djax never approached 190 he was about 170 when drafted and played around 175 most his career

Jackson was 169 at the combine, probably played closer to 160.

Fair enough, but if Jefferson had done what Smith did, at Jefferson’s size, both would have been top 5 picks. Devonta has a special talent. Can his body hold up, that’s his only question mark. I’ll take it.

The injury risk for Devonta's size is so completely unfounded. 

 

The only risk with his weight is his ability to beat press coverage but he has such elite technique, footwork and route running that I would say the odds are in his favor.
