Steven Nelson, DJ Hayden, Casey Heyward, Bashaud Breeland, Brian Poole, and Gareon Conley is what's left in free agency. After Nelson it's ugly.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

The goal is not to tank. the goal is to almost win. ;)

Casey Hayward is still decent.  Not sure of scheme fit

Yup...I would be satisfied with the team playing hard and a lot of moral victories. A lot of young players will have a chance to shine on occasion....

We should have kept Sudfeld to put in late in games to really solidify the loss. Our tanking would be unstoppable

Don't know if she got anything in the divorce though

for some reason I can just smell coffee breath or red wine just from looking at that picture.

How on earth did we not sign any of the good UDFA corners? We have like three roster locks at the position.

They all sucked at RPS...

Based on that reasoning, why talk about a game beforehand at all? Why not let it just play out? As Mike said, it's fun for people to see how they do predicting. It's entertaining to see how one's predictions will fare against someone else.

Why do any scouting or planning for the draft?  What a stupid waste of time.  Just show up Thursday night and pick players based on thinking no one else has ever heard of them, throw S against a wall, and make a bunch of comments even though you cheer for a different team.

When it comes to taller, possession, 50/50 model of WR on the Eagles roster I’m seeing only JJAW and Trevon Grimes.  I wonder what the chances are that JJAW is released and Grimes sticks.

So we get the generational CB in Stingley

Way too early but it would be shocking if JJAW made this team. Smith, Reagor, Watkins, Fulgham, Ward, Hightower, Grimes.

Let's pray that they abandon that model of WR.  Their recent drafting is a solid start.

I like the direction they have taken this offseason.  I don't think we'll see the same rapid turnaround we had with Doug because (sorry guys) we have no QB in place.  But I think they are taking steps in the right direction for a rebuild the right way.  Here are the biggest questions remaining:

1. Is Hurts the franchise QB?

2.  This is #1, simply rephrased, but possibly the more important question: Will the powers that be view Hurts as a franchise QB after 2021?  Obviously, this is very much a different question from whether or not Hurts is actually good enough...because this is the one that determines who our starting QB is in 2022 and beyond.

3.  Are our back-to-back first round picks at WR going to be an elite duo, a mere upgrade, or a disappointment?

4. Are our bookend OT's of the future already on the roster?

We have enough resources that we don't need Hurts to be a franchise QB; we can go get one next year.  The Eagles just need to make the right call on him.

What we do need, however, is for #3 and #4 to be answered in a positive fashion...because we don't have enough resources for any more WR investments in the next few years, nor do we have enough to get a QB, fix the defense, AND rebuild OT.

The talent base was better when Doug took over. Howie has spent years making it deteriorate.  We hope we are on the other side of that but it's still not 100% certain as you bring up

It would be great if Mailata and Dillard can be the future. If Kelce retires after this season and Dickerson can't stay healthy then what?

I hope Hurts isn't just average and the FO is fine with that and we miss out on a possible franchise QB next draft. Hopefully Hurts can be the franchise QB

Randy Moss rookie year 1998: 69 rec, 1,313 yards, 17 TDs

Justin Jefferson rookie year 2021: 88 rec, 1,400 yards, 7 TDs.

DeVonta Smith rookie year 2021: 104 rec, 1,653 yards, 14 TDs.

New head coaches usually want "their guy" at QB.

We allegedly explored trading up for a QB.

I think we will have a new QB next year unless Hurts blows everyone away this year.

Fulgham?

Honestly hes your best taller, possession 50/50 model WR right now. He showed it last year till teams were rolling double coverage on him and Doug refused to try and scheme around it. But he had some really nice wins on some 50/50 balls.

I do feel one reason Nick was hired was his background with WRs to get them in the right direction. Will be interesting to see who makes the team and who does not. Could see 2 or 3 on the PS even.

Wasn't it for Zach Wilson but Jets wanted him?

Supposedly.

I think the talent base is a smidge better than we believe right now.

When Chip left, we thought he spent years making it deteriorate.  We knew Cox was a stud.  We knew Lane was a puzzle piece, but didn't know he was THAT good.  We didn't know how good Ertz was.  Kelce was also in a early/mid career lull where he was really struggling with bigger DL.

We even used to talk about how we had nothing and it wasn't like the talent that was carried forward from Rhodes to AR.

So there is talent on this roster that we don't know we have.  If we finally got WR figured out and have an OL to move forward with, we are in pretty good shape.  If we have to back track, again, at those positions, then we are in trouble.

Based solely on this, I’m glad we didn’t get Wilson
