I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

If the Eagles use Gainwell properly he's going to create matchup problems for defenses.  1,450+ yards rushing with a 6.3 yards per carry, and 51 catches at 12 yards per catch.  He can be used as a slot WR in some formations, he can run the wildcat, and he's got good balance through contact.  He doesn't return kicks or punts, but as a RB he's a very versatile chess piece.

He and Sanders on the field at the same time would be interesting.

Hopefully Nick does it more than once. I was annoyed that Doug only used Howard and Sanders once

I just don’t see the Eagles as a bottom 5 team this year; maybe I’m in for a rude awakening but I think there are other teams who are worse off.

The NFC East is still not a strong division.  WFT were the best of the bunch at 7-9 and they still don’t have their QB.  Fitzpatrick has been the same guy his whole career; he will light it up for 3-4 games, then start giving the ball away.  He never keeps a starting job.  DAL still has a suspect defense — how much better are Parsons and Cox over LVE and Smith.  They brought in Keanu Neal in FA to play LB.  How many LB do they want to have on the field at once?  The Giants have good personnel on offense but still a sketchy OL and Daniel Jones at QB.

The schedule isn’t the murderer’s row it was last season, I think the injuries will decrease to league-average level, and I believe the Eagles will run the ball well in 2021 which will keep them in games.

I still see a 7-10 record.

They should have a functional offense, at worst.  They should have a healthier OL this season.  They have some decent weapons in Smith, Sanders, and Goedert.  Hurts can sustain some drives with his legs.  And the newness of Sirianni's scheme should help.

They can avoid <5 wins if their defense is close to adequate.

Not sure what the metric is

I've been seeing a lot of people saying Denver had the best draft

He has the basics with arm power and the legs to move around. He needs a TON of work though to be a help to this team. His accuracy is horrendous.Well worth a look though as a UDFA

Never understood why people rate drafts too early. Lets come back to this in 2-3 years.

These are the kind of flyers I love to take on an UDFA, very raw talent. Can teach that accuracy issue but can't teach arm power. Lets see what happens.

I'm not sure I like this new 'players use any number' policy. It's nice in the odd event you don't know a player, that you can identify his position on the field by his number. Anyone else feel that way?

Of course time will tell , but why say this team or that team got a good or bad player ? Just come back in 3 years

si let’s stop talking about players drafted and if they were a steal or not , come back in 3 years

I think there is merit to evaluate whether a team is using it's draft resources appropriately based on available information at the time.

Are they reaching?  Missing out on value opportunities?

Even if Reagor ends up in the HOF and Jefferson doesn't, the process failed at the time.

Brady was using that example in his complaint of the new rule

I thought I would like it but now that it's real I hate it.

I like college guys having whatever number they want and once they make it to the NFL they "graduate" to professional numbers.

Something and nothing on the rookie minicamp

Eagles should still do them IMO because of a new HC and system

I would too.  They have to start the new culture somewhere and the rooks are the perfect place to start

It only makes sense to do so.  Not sure how you can have the top prospects at the draft, tons of people (while vaccinated) at the draft, random people sitting in Roger's chair and then say players can't come together in a controlled environment like a team facility.

The NFL got their 17th game, so they’ll back the players on peripheral issues.

Something to talk about.   If there's no point in rating it, why bother watching, predicting, studying, etc.?  Just watch the games and it will all be revealed in time.
