IDK about that, I think he was miscast and not allowed to produce like he can in Pitt.  The back half of last year once he was 100% he was quite dominant.

If we are in position for Stingley, we're gonna have a lot bigger needs.

How do you figure?  If we're in position for Stingley, we still don't have corners.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Good read if you are an athletic subscriber.

If not, Eagles graded well. No steals of the draft necessarily but no reaches either.

We definitely wouldn’t have a QB either

Or, we don't have a QB.

OK, another question.  I'm watching the FCS spring playoffs.  There are all sorts of crazy rules for eligibility.  If there's a senior playing in the spring season, does he have to wait until the 2022 draft?

Are they going to be eligible for the supplemental draft?

It's really confusing.

The Eagles are going to have to make a determination on the overall state of the roster after the 2021 season.  I don’t think it’s as cut-and-dried as saying if Hurts isn’t good they will draft a QB in Round 1 of 2022.  I don’t think you draft a QB until you get to the point where you’re saying ‘this QB is holding us back’

Likely 3 first round picks for 2022.  Off the top of my head I would say 12 months from now the Eagles will be looking at drafting a Brooks replacement, Cox replacement, and Slay replacement.  (if we label Dickerson a Kelce replacement), as well as a Graham replacement.

I can’t read it because I don’t pay to read someone else’s opinion.   But if anyone thinks they had a good draft, I’m glad I didn’t read it.  I’ll have more to say tonight or tomorrow, you can be sure.  But this years draft was more of the same.

Looks like you got your account back from the family member who was complimenting Nick a couple of days ago.

It was an aggregate of 70 analysts big boards, and compared it to where the players were taken vs where everyone has them ranked on average. It’s not necessarily saying the draft was good, just more in line with where everyone had them ranked.

PFN has their mock machine already set-up for next year. They have us projected to be picking 4th. If that’s the case, we’re more than likely looking for a new QB.

From first glance none of them really excite me but I don’t watch a lot of CFB.

Interesting pick. Obviously has a good arm and confidence in himself.

This is the guy the Eagles pay real money to?

Seriously? That's the reason? For the benefit of a few weeks?

Not to mention Russell Wilson and Kyler Murray are already in the division.

Seemed like more running highlights than passing highlights, though the throws were pretty nice.  He can put zip on the ball and throw it on a hard line or he can put loft on it when needed.  Would be interested in seeing more throws, especially to the sidelines.  That first throw at 0:41 was a 50yd laser with mid/low trajectory.  That wasn't a lofty bomb.  He's really only played 1 season (only had 14 pass attempts in '17 and '18, did not play in '19, transferred from Auburn to Liberty) and only had 265 pass attempts.  Another full season to better evaluate him would be preferred.  In 2020 he played what I would consider to be 4 quality teams:  Syracuse, Virginia Tech, NC State and Coastal Carolina.  Liberty's only loss was to NC State and he had his worst game:  13-32 (40.6%), 172yds, 2 TDs, 3 INTs, sacked 3 times, 15 carries for 44 yards.  Syracuse he didn't put up big stats, but was efficient both passing and running.  His best game was vs VaTech throwing 3 TDs with no INTs and a 66.7% while also rushing for 108 yards on 19 carries with 1 TD in a 38-35 win.  They won the bowl game vs Coastal Carolina, though he did it more on the ground than through the air.  He had 137 yards on 21 carries with 4 TDs while going 19-29 for 220 yards with zero TDs and 2 INTs.

Would like to see him throw a bit more and run a bit less in 2021 and see how he does.  He does seem to have potential and upside, but the way he played in 2020 isn't sustainable in the NFL.

Keep an eye on him to go from unknown to possible 1st rounder this year.

I think the thing with Mayock and Gruden is they don't understand value and what others are going to do. They could have traded down a little, acquired extra value and still gotten Leatherwood. Then they'd be getting kudos.

I just don't get that mindset. It's a minuscule advantage.

I just don’t see the Eagles as a bottom 5 team this year; maybe I’m in for a rude awakening but I think there are other teams who are worse off.

The NFC East is still not a strong division.  WFT were the best of the bunch at 7-9 and they still don’t have their QB.  Fitzpatrick has been the same guy his whole career; he will light it up for 3-4 games, then start giving the ball away.  He never keeps a starting job.  DAL still has a suspect defense — how much better are Parsons and Cox over LVE and Smith.  They brought in Keanu Neal in FA to play LB.  How many LB do they want to have on the field at once?  The Giants have good personnel on offense but still a sketchy OL and Daniel Jones at QB.

The schedule isn’t the murderer’s row it was last season, I think the injuries will decrease to league-average level, and I believe the Eagles will run the ball well in 2021 which will keep them in games.

I still see a 7-10 record.

Gannon seems excited about Stevens.

Not buying it.  Silly hot take.

I was excited for Moehrig in Round 2... but getting an LSU DB in Round 6, that's good value.   There's no guarantees, obviously, but we can be hopeful.
