Pathetic Hurts haters still being Pathetic Hurts haters.

Providing facts about his play is not being a hater, it is providing facts.

I find it ironic you calling out people as hating on the Eagles QB, when you got banned from the previous board for hating on the only Eagles QB to win a Super Bowl.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I guess it's how you look at it.  Pretty sure the main reason Wentz wanted out is that he wasn't guaranteed the starting position and that there likely would have been open competition at camp for the starting role.

And #11 being the superior talent he is should have no problem beating out Hurts to be the starter.

But he choose a different path.  Good luck to him!!

Through Ticketmaster? I'm in Section 514 and it was like $360 for 2.

He played terrible just about all year.  In the process he was benched because of his terrible play.  Didnt he say that was the moment he thought he was done with the Eagles?

What the heck are you talking about? Did I disagree that he played terrible? Nope . Your statement was more or less that he had "no right to ask for a trade". Every player has a "right to ask for a trade"  Which he did behind closed doors. He asked and it was granted to him. He didn't hold out or state that he wouldn't play for us again (like Watson). Howie himself said that the talks were non contentious and that Carson was told that it had to work out for both sides.

So where are you getting this "mentally weak" and "crybaby" stuff?  I mean he played terrible, he felt he lost his job and wanted to make a fresh start, and respectfully asked to be traded.

How much would you pay to see the Pope?

I've lived in Boston.  That's what Brady is there.

I would pay as much as zero dollars to see the pope. I would pay a lot more than that to see the Eagles. (Well maybe not last year or this year)

Funny thing is they have like 4 different versions and he's on none of them

Clearly Hurts has shown he is an elite NFL QB so there's no reason to question whether he will succeed.

I know someone will offer me tickets to this game, but I'll have a 2 month old at the time, so I can't fully commit quite yet.

It's kind of weird how a lot of these posters who are eager to trash just about anyone from pretty much the day they step on the field go to all ends of the universe to defend Wentz. They typically give the shortest leash imaginable, but Wentz gets miles of rope. In particular, these are posters who trash players for supposedly being "weak-minded," "stubborn," "oblivious," or "poor leaders." If we've ever had a player in recent memory whose actions and the reports surrounding him conforms to that kind of assessment, it's Wentz, yet these guys back him all the way. It's really ironic.

What's weird about it? Wentz was our starting q.b.. I think you'll find that a lot of the same posters also used to defend McNabb, Cunningham, Foles, Vick and so on and so on. It's not like every player is held to the same standards. A player hangs around a while and he's going to get a following especially a quarterback.

Philly is the only town that seems to always hate the starting quarterback for some reason

He has a place in Canton already reserved.

I don't think anyone has an issue talking about his faults. Aside from his play, most of the discussion about his faults fall on the side of speculation about his locker room behavior and leadership. I think there have been plenty of rumors and Wentz did try to address them.  I also think it's fair to question why he asked for a trade but if you don't like him I wouldn't see why you would care.   I haven't seen anyone actually engage on the topic without one side calling the other Wentz washers.  I haven't seen anyone say that Wentz was a top 5 QB and we should have never traded him.  The argument for Wentz is really not about Wentz at all but about Hurts.  I think there are 3 main issues. 1) Did Hurts warrant a 2nd round pick vs. another position of need? 2) Is Hurts a better QB than Wentz? 3) Is Hurts good enough to be an above average NFL QB?

1.  No especially not when they stated they were drafting him as only a backup QB. I like Hurts the person and player i don’t like taking swings in the second round at backups even if it’s backup QBs. Especially not when i went into detail back last February that this team needed to add young foundational pieces to the roster and a second round pick is a high pick in which you’d use that pick to do so. Add on the eagles knew that a rebuild was coming (heck they said they were until they pulled a 180 cause of the pandemic) so you needed a cheap backup QB in the second round more than building up positions that needed starters knowing a rebuild was on the horizon?

2. I would say at the moment no. Feankly i think wentz coming out was more talented player and a higher ceiling.

3. i think hurts can be a top 15 QB in the nfl. Does that mean he’s an elite passer? No but i think most would consider Lamar jackson top 12 in the league and he’s not. That said i think you need a good/great passer of the football if you expect to win a SB and enough playoff games to get there.

He has every right to ask for a trade.  Doesnt mean I agree with it.  To me and only me, not speaking for anyone else, he looks like a bit** asking for a trade because he was benched.  But you're right he can do so if he wants.  I just think its BS.  You got benched....come back and show that it was a mistake and get better.

Earlier you asked me, what does him playing awful have to do with him thinking his time was done in Philly?

I basically said

A) he played awful

B) because he played awful, he was benched

C) because he was benched he felt that was the moment his time was done with the Eagles.  Didnt he say that himself?

To get him to waive his no trade and agree to come here, Howie should promise to kill all the lawsuits and investigations against him. Something, something, Howie is Illuminati, something something something.

You might want to tell that person then.

Didn't mean 1 specific person.  Either an in-law, a co-worker, or friends in Charlotte with season tickets will want to take the obnoxious hoagie mouth (me) to this game.

Section 548.  4 tickets.  $105/each.  Which comes out to be around $500 with all the bells and whistles.

Maybe the Eagles are undefeated and the panthers are undefeated and we can sell our tickets and make money on them.

The last game I went to was the one where the Panthers were undefeated at the time.  That game stunk but I did get to see an Eagles fan pick a fight with a former Panther's player, Frank Garcia.  That was fun.

Avant said Barnett showed up to camp at 215 last year and had to work all year to build weight. That seems a little far fetched.

I’m hoping to hook up with a cpl tickets for TB game .

Interesting. I still firmly believe if watson didn’t have his legal issues with this whole massage scandal that the eagles would have been all in to get watson. I have no doubt the eagles would’ve been right in the thick of it and try to acquire him for up what they think he’s worth. That said I still doubt watson would want to come here with options he’d have with his NTC.

However i always found it curious when mosher, caplan continued to say things it’s not a forgone conclusion that hurts was the starter into April and that people in the building keep saying they drafted him to be a backup and didn’t expect this to go this way. And there’s been multiple reports from national writers and local beat writers about them wanting watson and wilson before they knew they couldn’t move up for Zack wilson.

Well, both make a bunch of people stand up and yell "Jesus Christ!".

I think him demanding to be traded by the Texans is him pretty much saying he'll waive the no trade clause.

Can he use the "no trade" if they come to him and say listen, we have a deal in place with "insert crappy team here" and he doesn't want to go? Or is it like, once he declares they can seek a trade, there's no take backs?
