False

completion percentage Foles 60.8, Hurts 52

interception percentage, Foles 1.9, Hurts 2.7

qb rating Foles 79.1, Hurts 77.6

QBR Foles 51.2, Hurts 41

sack percentage Foles 7, Hurts 8.1

Nick Foles in his starts as a rookie: 1-5 record against 3 teams playing for the playoffs.  59.6%, 1,480 yards passing, 5 TDs, 4 INTs, 78.3 passer rating, 6.35 Y/A, 6.01 AY/A, 42 rush yards, 1 rushing TD & 2 fumbles lost.

Jalen Hurts in his starts as a rookie: 1-3 against 4 teams playing for the playoffs.  51.8%, 919 yards passing, 5 TDs, 3 INTs, 77.2 passer rating, 6.91 Y/A, 6.65 AY/A, 272 rush yards, 3 rushing TDs & 2 FL.

So absolutely comparable.  Hurts produced more TDs and less turnovers in less games than Foles.  Produced more wins against tougher opponents playing for more.  And yet for you Jalen Hurts is one of the worst QBs to ever play in the league and he has no chance of ever developing into anything while you are forever head over heals for Nick Foles.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Mailata.  Some folks have him anointed as an all pro LT or starting level OT.. He is a viable swing tackle at this point.  Led the team in sacks allowed last year, although that was partly because he pushed players back behind the QB and Carson backed into the sack. Contrast that with the three other OTs (not Toth or Pryor), who move their opponent more back but not in.  He made lots of mistakes and is unpolished.  He has been practicing/playing for three years now at the pro level.  A lot of OL have a similar level of experience coming into the draft.  (3 years of college). Sure they have HS and even Middle School experience but blocking at the HS level isn’t close to a larger college level program. People also talk about him being an athletic wonder.  He ran a 5.12 40 yard dash.  Nothing close to Lane’s quickness or speed.  Lane put up 28 reps to Jordan’s 22.  Heck, Driscoll was a 5.02 and similar reps.  Dillard run a sub 5.0 forty and displayed similar quickness to Lane and put up 24 reps.  Mailata is huge at 346 compared to the others but he is not some uber athlete.  He is a good athlete for his size. He does have long arms which besides his size is the major distinction between him and Dillard or Driscoll. But Driscoll and Dillard looked way more polished in their technique.

While I agree with this sentiment, I refuse to believe that anyone on the OL gave up more sacks than Peters.  I don’t even care what the stats show.

False. I posted numbers again just the other day. Take a look.

Now let's see all of the times I've said I hope Hurts fails. I'll wait. Don't run, back yourself up as I have, numerous times.

Direct me to that post because no offense but you have proven yourself to be completely dishonest in the numbers you post so I would love to fact check that post.

Still looking for that second Jalen Hurts win

Random thought:

Who would you guys say is the most overrated player on the roster? Just curious what people think.

For me, it's Dallas Goedert by a country mile.

Yea easily goedert. Some act like he's a one for one replacement for ertz. The guy is hurt as often as miles sanders is with half the production. But he plays the way people want a tight end to play which is why they overrated him. I like goedert and he could be good if he was ever healthy and playing consistently, but as of right now he is definitely the most overrated dude on the team

I'll correct my post.  Sure doesn't change much though.

Criticizing Hurts and bringing up his faults has absolutely nothing to do with Wentz. Are people truly unable to grasp that concept?

I have close to no faith, but hopefully he's the best QB to ever play the game.

Damn, I really am rooting for the guy to fail.

Oh....wait...

You comparing workout numbers at 300-310 to 346, try comparing Mailata's workout to Peters.

Now the guy who is a freak is Brooks, with great workout numbers at 335 lb. His numbers are almost as good as Lane at 303 lbs and match Dillard at 315.

But watching Mailata, he is an exceptional athlete, like Peters, he is exceptionally quick and has great body control for a man that size (reportedly close to 360).

The play where he peeled off his block to nail a DB blitzing on the other side of the OL was unworldly.

Now before he was benched for Peters, his footwork and recognition were inconsistent, but after the chance to watch for a few games, he came back much improved. That is what is most impressive about Mailata, his ability to absorb and incorporate what he's taught - and one reason for his slow start was the lack of off-season work on technique, and PT in exhibition games last year. With a full off-season this year, he should make another jump.

When have I been dishonest? Lmao, what? Why would I lie about numbers someone can easily go look up?

Go back to sleep and try again tomorrow dude.

In your mind.  Get back to me when Hurts has numbers that match Foles after this first 10 starts in year 2.

The whole Hurts/Allen claims you made in the past.

Please direct me to your post from a few days ago so I can no doubt about it find flaws in it.

his receiving numbers are already better than Reuben randle’s in an eagles uniform. Baby steps.

My bad, I didn't realize that 1-5 was better than 1-3.

There is nothing about his play that tells me he would have won anymore games if he started them.

He was shut down in the second half of every game he started, while completing 45.6 % of his passes.

Was actually referencing Tebow the other day, for Allen you'll have to go back to the last time you tried to tell me I had no substance. I'm not going to go all the way back through my posts to pinpoint, but if you're the eager, by all means.

Or simply look it up. It's not exactly hard.

You brought up a post you made days ago where you claim you posted something with number that you backed your argument up with.  But now you can't provide it. Surprise, surprise.  There is not a more disingenuous poster on this board.

If Doug actually wanted to win that Redskins game and kept him in it they were in all likelihood going to win it.  And that's just one additional quarter.  Even if Hurts did start two additional games and lost them both, he still would have had the same record as Nick Foles as a rookie.  So Foles 1-5 > Jalen Hurts hypothetical 1-5?

That type of "logic" makes only sense to someone that hates a player and holds an agenda against them.

I have him on ignore but

Josh Allen>>Jalen Hurts

Are you basing that on the first second half drive, when the Egles had 3 pays for 7 yards, Hurts was 0 for 1 passing and the Eagles punted.

Maybe you are basing it on the second possession of the half, when the Eagles went 8 plays for 30 yards, and Hurts went 2 for 4 passing for 7 yards.

Maybe the 3rd possession, 7 plays for 11 yards when Hurts went 0 for 3 passing and could not get the team in 3 straight times from the 4.

Nope, none of those possessions lead me to believe we win that game.

How about the second last possession of the first half, 3 plays, zero yards, Hurts 0 for 3 passing.

Not sure how Hurts last 4 legitimate possessions in that game, 21 plays for 48 yards, while he went 2 of 11 passing for 7 yards would give you that impression.

BUT..BUT..BUT "If" he stayed in the game vs the Redskins, he had a chance at being 2-2. Stiil counts right?  LOL.
