I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Howie could build another SB winning team and those are those who'd still say "he's not a football guy."

The Eagles record this year will have no impact, since they're committed to a rebuild (noises about being competitive are just that, watch what I do, not what I say).

What will matter is whether the past two drafts are developing into NFL players, because next year's draft is going to be a killer, 4 top 40 picks (even if the Indy pick is a 2nd, it'll likely be a high 2nd b/c if Wentz goes down, so does Indy) in a very deep draft. Look for Howie to try and garner more picks in next year's draft if possible.

Hurts could show solid development and the Eagles could still go 5-12 if the secondary implodes, look at Houston last year.

I watched what Howie did... and what he did was sign bad and injured players, drafted bad and injured players, gave out huge contracts to players long before he had to and got locked in to them, and failed to properly build around his QB a sustainable core (especially at the WR position).

But, you heard them blame it all on the coach that they fired, and ignored the fact that the job title GM trumps what the HC wants... as they proved when they forced his hand to fire his assistants.  But, they let him choose the draft choices, the free agent targets and the contract structures...

You seem to waffle on the 'watch what I do, not what I say' stance when it's convenient.

Looking closer at the schedule...

  • No Chance in Hell: KC, TB
  • Any Given Sunday: SF, LAC
  • Better Rosters, but with Questions: NO, WFT x2, DAL x2
  • Same Tier: ATL, LV, DET, CAR, DEN, NYG x2
  • God Forbid: NYJ

OL stays healthy, Hurts is not great but OK, DL protects our secondary...who knows?

I think I'd bump NYJ into Same Tier. Which is sad.

I know , I was wondering how this would work

Well if you're vaccinated then not your problem.  They are willingly putting themselves at risk so be it.  I have 10 more days until my second shot and then 2 weeks for it to kick in.  I personally can't wait to ditch masks.

I'd move Chargers up one. Herbert is going to have fun against this defense lol

Falcons have no defense(don't know if they fixed that in draft) but their offense is better than ours

I'm hoping Saints fail without Brees and we never hear from them again but their roster still has talent

Constantly hearing how Denver had the best draft

It would make lip reading so much easier...  like in your avatar.

The problem is , the more people not vaccinated , the greater the chance of new strains

over 70 % of population needs to be vaccinated to achieve herd mentality

I'd swap NYJ with DET and bump up ATL and DEN to better rosters.

Atlanta isn't as bad as people make them out to be. They had a goofy season with that onside kick against Dallas and that game Gurley accidently scored a TD. 1-8 in one score games. They aren't SB contenders but they shouldn't be as unlucky as 2020.

So then the position isn't weaker.

Or maybe don't act like a child with stupid hater pet names like "ginger".

Come on 😄  You guys are no fun.

Tell you what?  I wont use that word anymore.

What exactly have you heard?   I've not heard any thing like this.   I heard that he told free agents he wasn't coming back.   I heard he would retire rather than return.  I heard he was demanding to be traded.   I've not heard a single thing about him trying to fix things.   I heard it was either him or the GM there.  That's not exactly 'trying to fix things', that's more 'trying to dictate' to the organization.

Listening to Pat McAfee show he has AJ Hawk on who is a friend of Rodgers.  Hawk said that according to Aaron the situation is absolutely fixable.  James Jones and John Kuhn who are friends and ex teammates of Rodgers said the same.  They also said the whole me or the GM has to go thing isnt true.

That's where I heard it from.

I mean if you want to have a civilized conversation about him. Personally I would prefer to just move on.

I think we'll get close to that.  PA is at 45% fully vaccinated (52% first shot) and a lot of people like me who waited for it to open to everybody are just getting their 1st shot or waiting on their second.  We'll see.  Might not quite reach 70%.

I had my 2nd shot around a month ago , plus had virus , and as of a few weeks ago still had loads of the antibodies in me

some countries only require one shot , if you had the virus

We won't reach 70.

At work we started getting the vaccine in like December or January... whenever it started.  We are at 70.8% of employees vaccinated,  and have been there for weeks.  That's about as high as we are getting.  And that's in a hospital.

You're never going to get the general population as high as that.

I think 60-65% is where it will top.  I know a lot of people who were very unsure about it at first that are now going to get it.

Herd immunity. We already have herd mentality.

I am fully vaccinated but will wear a mask if requested indoors as it doesn’t bother me to comply. We keep gathering data on the efficacy of the vaccine. I fully expect a booster may be required.   I am a bit concerned about the effectiveness of the flu shot this coming fall.  Sounds like a lack of data may impact the guess at the strains collected.  I will say this about the precautions taken.  I don’t recall going for almost a year and a half without a cold in my lifetime but my last respiratory illness was in January 2020. Masks and social distance works.

What percentage of the non-vaccinated are clinically recovered and likely loaded with anti-bodies?  What percentage of the remainder are previously exposed or previously asymptomatic?

There is no public health justification for continuing any of the mitigation measures that were installed 14 months ago.  There is also no evidence, whether anecdotal data or actual scientific study, that illustrates any of the mitigation measures actually had any benefit.

Full capacity events with no restrictions of any kind should be permitted immediately.  Happy to see the NFL and the Eagles are planning accordingly.

No doubt, but that's not really how I want to live my life.

Sure, why not?
