Are you basing that on the first second half drive, when the Egles had 3 pays for 7 yards, Hurts was 0 for 1 passing and the Eagles punted.

Maybe you are basing it on the second possession of the half, when the Eagles went 8 plays for 30 yards, and Hurts went 2 for 4 passing for 7 yards.

Maybe the 3rd possession, 7 plays for 11 yards when Hurts went 0 for 3 passing and could not get the team in 3 straight times from the 4.

Nope, none of those possessions lead me to believe we win that game.

How about the second last possession of the first half, 3 plays, zero yards, Hurts 0 for 3 passing.

Not sure how Hurts last 4 legitimate possessions in that game, 21 plays for 48 yards, while he went 2 of 11 passing for 7 yards would give you that impression.

Yeah, I'm for sure basing it off of that second half and just the whole flow of that game.  If the Eagles go for the field goal at the 4 yard line instead of the going for it on 4th then it's a tie game at that point heading into the 4th quarter.  Instead Doug, not really intending to win the game decides to go for it on 4th down.    The only points the Redskins got in the 4th quarter were off of a terrible Nate Sudfeld interception that was returned to the Eagles 25 yards line where the Redskins later kicked a field goal.

Again, just blind hate from you to act like the Eagles wouldn't have had a better chance to win that game had Hurts played in the 4th instead of Sudfeld.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

If Jalen Hurts started the season and had reps with the ones in TC, I easily see them being 16-0

I'll correct my post.  Sure doesn't change much though.

I agree. Your argument is independent of data.

Again, go back and look, it's really not hard.

Then go find it.  You're the one that brought it up.

Can you post the link to it then?

BUT..BUT..BUT "If" he stayed in the game vs the Redskins, he had a chance at being 2-2. Stiil counts right?  LOL.

Did I say that? No i said I will correct my post and then I said even that doesn't make Foles record of 1-5 any better than Hurts record.

This game, and the 2 of 22 second half possessions with points disagree with you.

Why ??  If you know how to use the board efficiently it would take 5 seconds.  You are the one arguing against the numbers without quoting them.

Hamilton is a nice player... I'd be interested. Don't think he'll pass through waivers though and that $2M price is probably out of our budget.

I wonder what arbitrary thing you are going to try to desperately pin your Hurts hate on in 2022 when the offense's play in the second half does not mirror that of his rookie year?

16-1.  They rest the starters the last week as they got the #1 seed locked up.

Why is talking about what actually happened hate ??  I hope he proves me wrong, but there is nothing about his play last year that gives me any hope that he will be much more than what he showed.

It took the NFL more than a year to slow down Nick Foles running Chip Kelly's gimmicky college offense.  It took NFL defensive coordinators a 15 minute half time to figure out how to stop Jalen Hurts.

Direct me to that post because no offense but you have proven yourself to be completely dishonest in the numbers you post so I would love to fact check that post.

I like this.  To paraphrase you: no offense but you are a liar.

Let’s just table the Hurts debate until week 1 2021 is in the books.

The bottom line is that Hurts has been a bad passer his entire career, lacks natural tools and playing style befitting a prolific NFL passer, and fit that mold in limited action as a rookie.

He also was better than Wentz, had little help, and anything can happen.

That’s all we have to go on right now.  In week 1, with a full offseason as the #1, we’ll have more to discuss.

How about no? Should we table all discussions until week 1 is in the books?

The ratio of new discussion insight to vitriol has tipped in the ratio of staying away.

There are those who believe and those who do not.  The line in the sand is drawn.  I’m just bored by the topic until Hurts gives us new material.

So let me get this straight: You accused me of being the most "disingenuous" poster on this board and make the false claim that I apparently make things/numbers up all the time.

So I suggest you can either go back and look (though, as you just said, I apparently made them up) or you can go look it up yourself (so that there can be no doubt as I'd have no way of altering those numbers) and you're unwilling to do either.

If I'm such a liar, why would you want me to present the numbers, again? Like I said, go look it up, then there can be no doubt.

I agree, 4 games as a rookie is a pretty small sample size to reach any definitive conclusions.

Certain posters on this very board had a 27-2 season to draw a Nick Foles conclusion, and still said the Eagles season ended the second Carson Wentz tore his ACL.

Maybe so, but of course it ain't all about you.
