Etienne has the profile to be an excellent slot WR. You draft him to move him everywhere in the formation. The Saints have made it work with Kamara.

I think it’s more like Samuel, Campbell and Harvin type of things.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

benefits of having a father who played the game at a high level

Winfield talked to Beckles & Recher on WDAE radio and explained that he and his pops have a schedule during the season.

On Mondays, they’re breaking down first- and second-down film. Tuesdays are all about third down. And when Winfield gets the game plan for the next opponent, of course, father and son are poring over film for hours. Wednesdays and beyond are about watching/studying multiple games with his dad, he explained.

That makes sense...but they were actual WRs in college. Yes Harvin and Samuel played RB...but they also took tons of traditional WR reps.

I like the move in the aggregate though.

NFL network has the Jim Schwartz masterpiece on vs Pittsburgh last year. Good times.

Schwartz was so bad. I was watching Birds 365 the other day and almost spit my coffee out when that FN moron John McMullen said that Schwartz got treated unfairly by the fans and is one the ''greatest defensive minds in the NFL.''

Good luck to him. May not even make the gameday roster

I’d say he’s long shot just to make the 53. Can’t hate him though, huge hand in winning the SB. A shame all those injuries just made him a shell of what he was.

Thanks for LII, Corey.

Sad how many times that's been said. Not many players left

He was an awful situational play caller. 3rd and 3? 7 yard cushion. 3rd and 20 on our 45? Sticks defense to give the field goal range. Got lucky that the offense was hot in LII cause his defense gave up 33 and a ton of yards. Schwartz was extremely overrated. He wasn't horrible, but he is definitely not a great defensive mind

Edit: im dumb and put 4th instead of 3rd

Kind of interesting that you need to take a full day off from work to watch all the 20+ yard recs that Smith has from Tua and Jones, while every single reception from Hurts (almost all underneath smaller plays) can be reviewed during a commercial break after you get a snack.

Those "highlights" are literally anything but support for Hurts.  You found the only footage in existence in which Smith looks like an underwhelming underneath target.

Well Tua was the starter when DeVonta was a freshman which was the only year that Hurts and DeVonta played together so of course the number of plays would be limited.

And the video isn't "highlights" it's just every pass from Hurts to DeVonta during their limited time together.  No need to have a stick up your ass about it.

Also I don't know what's underwhelming to you.  If you're expecting some DeSean type player then you are going to be disappointed.  DeVonta is a high volume elite WR who is going to catch passes at all points of the field.

It's just interesting that it's the least impressive and the highest percentage of low-impact underneath plays I've ever seen from Smith.

Hurts was the starter when Devonta was a freshman.  He was the backup when Devonta was a sophomore, but still logged time.

Because you aren't watching a highlight video.

If you watch every rep against next year's top 5 CB pick across 2 games, Smith looks more impactful than he does in his entire career with Hurts.

Okay, well you'd be looking at Smiths reps as a Junior and Senior.

I posted a video just for the sake of people to see of passes from our QB to our rookie #1 WR in college.  There was no agenda to it other than I found it and posted it. People's Hurts hate knows no bounds.

Jalen Hurts is Kevin Kolb. A 2nd round QB that showed minor flashes in limited time that couldn’t nail down the starting gig, only to be replaced by a premiere star QB who is battling in a PR nightmare.

Giant had brisket on sale a few weeks ago so I grabbed one and yesterday rubbed it then got up early and eleven hours of smoke on my old Mr. Meat smoker (Brinkmans, not a fancy Traeger unit), and an hour of rest and the bark was so good.   While I have the smoker out, I have some flank that I intend to smoke overnight..  Even slower than brisket. Thinking a red wine pepper marinade.  Anyone have a recipe for one?

Not seeing smoker, I’d fajita it. The only beef I smoke is brisket and a psuedo pastrami using a pre-brined corned beef flat. Hearing beef cheek is the bomb though

Top story on PE.com.  How an artist used 50 colors to create a mural for the schedule release video.  Why do I keep going back thinking they might have some extended coverage?  You'd have no idea rookie camp was going on if you were a casual fan going to the site.  Sad when the Browns have a website with 100% better content than the Eagles.

I know it's a yearly gripe about the lack of information.  Who do we contact?  Is it even worth it? Does anyone else care?

No one cares. Spadaro is as bad at running a website as Howie is at being a gm.

I see DumbleBear/Trotter is God made yet another user name. Moron is too predictable with his post and screams out its him. You think he would learn his lesson after a few name changes. Well another one added to the ignore list.

Jim was just too predictable. If his front 4 did not get pressure in 2-3 secs  the DBs and LBs were in a no win situation. It really just came down to if the QB made a bad throw or read. Any good QB ripped that defense apart. Jim's blitz packages were horribly designed. Lets bring everyone into the box and all out blitz. Any decent QB read it and adjusted the protection.

No one really knows what Gannon will bring to the table. He was a DB coach and a very good one. But what is his mindset on defense? His scheme? Will he mix up his play calling and design blitz packages that are not a dead giveaway? These are all questions we will not know till mid season. even though its refreshing to have a new DC, its also a bit scary not knowing what it will bring to the table. But I'm very happy they moved on from Jim, I wanted him gone after 2018.

I dont hate Hurts, I just prefer a qb whose weakness is not every aspect of passing.
