What is happening in Denver...

Apparently nothing... it's all happening elsewhere.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

That sucks.  He would be an upgrade here.  I know money is tight but I have no idea what they are thinking with the defensive backfield here.  Bare minimum.

I believe they are thinking they are going to force Hurts to win games through the air... or else move on.

Hurts can do all he can but if we can't stop anyone it doesn't matter.  The weapons in the NFCE are ridiculous.  We don't have anyone to cover these guys.

Let's the true genius of this plan.  Hurts gets to work on throwing the ball... coming from behind... etc.   AND... they don't hurt draft position.  Its fool proof.

So, Hurts isn't measured by wins, but by throwing only.

Went to PE.com thinking there would be camp coverage.   How easy I forget.  If you scroll down the entire home page, there are more pictures of Spadaro than players combined.  The main image is his dome.

The Philadelphia Spadaros.

I actually liked the post at first then immediately retracted.  Much like your circus button when you see a woman.

I thought so too.  He's beyond skinny.  Then my friend in Charlotte sent me Robby Anderson's workout video in IG, and holy smokes.  That dude is a bean pole.  They look about equal, but pads at least make them look serviceable.

Wow.  Denver really doing their best to attract free agents.

Any word on why Williams isn't there

He's day to day with nothing serious.  So we'll see him in 2022 backing up a cheap free agent pickup.

Claim Trill Williams?

So it's all out there, let me address this one final time and I'll even include numbers, again. First and foremost the original person who brought up Josh Allen was you, as seen below:

That was in response to me bringing up the many flaws with Hurts that cause concern. Trying to prove a point, you foolishly brought up Nick Foles. We'll mostly ignore that, but you want to call me a "hater" and you're the biggest Nick Foles hater on the board and have been banned. Irony.

Not a single time did I say that Josh Allen was drastically better in the second half of his game (as you accused me of in the first post). What I actually said was the following:

Pay attention to the bold. For the millionth time, here is the numbers break down:

Jalen Hurts (as a starter) from the first half to the second:

Saw his completion dip from 59% to 46%

Passing yards 555 to 506

TDs 5 down to 1

INT 1 up to 3

QB RATING 105.3 to 55.2

Y/A from 8.4 to 6.2

Rushing attempts increased in the second half, but his YPC went from 8.8 to 3.6

Now for Josh Allen:

52.94 to 52.69 for completion percentage

Passing yards from 969 to 1105

TDs from 4 to 6

INT from 5 to 7

QB rating 67.7 to 68.1

Y/A 6.3 to 6.6

Rushing attempts stayed roughly the same, but his YPC went from 6.5 to 7.6

Now, because I know you'll bring it up, the same concept is largely true for his first four games. I used pro-football-reference for the numbers. Feel free to fact check.

Let's review:

You initially brought up Josh Allen. You mentioned his completion percentage for his full year. When I brought his numbers up and proved you wrong, you shifted to the first four games. When I once again said the numbers support what I said during is first four games you ignored it, tried to change the argument and resorted to calling me a hater.

Now you're accusing me of never actually posting information, trying to convince the board that I'm some liar (as if anyone would take you of all people seriously) and you're putting words in my mouth and telling me that I said Allen got drastically better, which as you can see above is false.

You have the numbers above. You have the reference so that you can check. You have the actual posts of what was said showing that you're unsurprisingly a liar and a troll.

Don't ever try to tell me what I said or accuse me of making things up again. Go back under your rock.

Thank you for bringing this up because it shows exactly how full of crap the numbers you tend to post are.  Give me the Josh Allen first half/second half stat splits for only his first 4 starts.  You did the same thing before I called you out on it.  Hilarious that you go and do the same thing again months later.  By far the most disingenuous poster on this board.

Find a post that said I hate him.  Find a post that said I am not giving him a chance.  Posting stats which are the facts of things that actually happened are not hating on him, and do not indicate I am not giving him a chance.

Foles literally drew a play in the dirt to win his first game as a pro QB and showed a few flashes on a team that was exponentially more dysfunctional than the mess we had the past 2 seasons.

Hurts got an * playing against Taysom frigun Hill and had one play (his strike to Alshon) that made me go...ok, that was nice.

I don't want the kid to fail, but there is very little to be excited about other than him being a Tyrod Taylor type of player long term.

Yeah Hurts beat Tayson Hill meanwhile Nick Foles beat the juggernaut Josh Freeman.  That Tampa Bay Buccs pass defense that season was historically at the time the worst pass defense in the history of the NFL.

Funny how Nick Foles "showed a few flashes" but Jalen Hurts didn't.  Jalen Hurts made some great throws and some great plays.  He absolutely flashed.

McNabb 2nd year 11-5, 1st year 2-4

Foles 2nd year 8-2, 1st year 1-5

Wentz 2nd year 11-2, 1st year 7-9

The 2nd year QBs have done well for the Eagles. All 3 having rough 1st years.

Every post you make about it makes it evidently clear that you hate Hurts.  Anytime someone posts something positive about him you are one of the first to try to argue about how horrible you think he is.  You hang everything onto this arbitrary 2nd half stat as if this is the time tested matter of fact standard of which to judge QBs on and the determining factor in a QBs career.  You couldn't be any more transparent.

And I don't really mind Nick Foles.  I just knew the guy was an injury prone journeyman backup QB who was a very fluky player and was not the answer at QB.  Now Jalen Hurts could also very well be nothing more than a journeyman backup QB and he can prove that this season.  But he flashed enough during his rookie year and the Eagles invested a high enough draft pick in him that he deserves the right to show if he can be that QB for the team or not.   He certainly is a very physically gifted player at the position.

You really should verify these things, you know I am gonna look.

2012 Bucs, 297.4 passing yards per game allowed.

2011 Packers, 299.8 passing yards per game allowed.

Not even worse than the worst the previous season.

And did you maybe consider that since they were #1 in run defense, that teams passed more against them.
