Jalen Hurts details what Devonta Smith brings to Philadelphia Eagles

"I look at the late nights that we had in college where there was nothing else to do, we’d go out there and go throw. Or when I hosted him on a recruiting visit to come to Alabama, usually you want to go maybe go on the strip, the college street in Tuscaloosa, or find something to get into, a party or something like that. His head wasn’t on that. He was trying to work when we were in the indoor [facility], late at night, getting work in. So I think that shows the mentality he has and I think he’s bringing all that with him here.”

"I think about DeVonta and I always tell people the first thing about him, one, the competitor he is. Kind of a stoic guy, kind of like myself in a few ways. But he’s self-driven and bringing someone in like that, it helps. Just the presence of him being here.”

.01% they trade him in conference to the team they are playing opening day unless we give them like both firsts next year.

I'd bet they would let him go for 1 first. But I don't think that's the fish we are going after.

No thanks to Julio. We just spent back to back 1sts on WRs. Can't spend a 3rd (we also have no cap space)

I bet you money, I edit more posts than anyone in here.  It's alarming how bad they are sometimes.

Yours or mine? While I have an almost unlimited amount of wisdom as I compose my posts, somehow they become near-complete idiocy when I actually post them.

Julio seen wearing a Cowboys shirt.....🤔

I can see JJ doing something to get him.  Maybe they give Gallup and a good pick back.

Julio wouldn't make much sense for us and no sense for Julio.

If Green Bay was smart and wanted to satisfy Rodgers they would make a play for Julio.

One thing Dallas doesn't need is more receivers. So yeah. Go get him JJ.

I doubt they would trade him to Dallas. I'm sure Jerry will try but Julio is most likely going to an AFC team.  But if they did, I'd think Atlanta would want one of those WRs back in return, most likely Gallup.

This is what shocked me when I went down the list of receiving yard leaders - something like the top 20 or 30 (can't remember which) were ALL 28 or younger.

So WR has become more like RB, 1st contract and 4th year extension that can be ended by 29 or 30 for the top guys. Let the others walk.

With veteran WRs, wait until they're cut for cap reasons then sign them to 2 year deals at a lower cost.

It's also a good reason to pass on Waddle at #6, take the 1st rd pick in 2022, and use the 3rd to get your WR at #12.

Wonder what the Falcons want for Julio?

I read that they would (1) like to trade him outside of the NFC and (2) are looking for a 1st round pick, but probably won't get it.  Probably would take less to trade him outside of the NFC but if an NFC team offered up a 1 they would probably take that.

I'd love to see him go to Cincy or Buffalo.

Edit: @downundermike beat me to it

I wouldn't mind seeing Julio here to mentor Devonta, but I'd give us 0% chance of making this move.  I'm guessing Julio wants to win another one and we don't have the cap room.
