Lamar is streaky and regressed from last year, but he was legit amazing last year as a passer. He was hyper efficient from the pocket.

The truth is somewhere in the middle, but he was far from 'amazing' last year.  Coming out of college it was well noted that his mechanics and throw was almost entirely an arm throw.  If he could learn proper technique he's got a helluva arm.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

How much would you be willing to give up for Watson?

I'd trade the Eagles 1st and 3rd and some conditional for next year.

Bills/Chiefs is the AFC game I wanted to see all along. Should be a solid Sunday for both games.

Now watch the Browns shock the world

A Browns--Bills AFC Title Game would be one of the unlikeliest title game matchups anyone could predict before a season.

I’m a wee bit confident in saying that will not be enough for Texans to send him here....but then again, Hop trade so 🤷🏼‍♂️

Yeah it’s definitely doug or Doug’s agent. It shows that he’s loyal to his guys. However it doesn’t show since reich left that he’s had success with other coaches. Literally groh failed. Press Taylor failed. Every WR coach failed. Fipp’s unit as massive regressed. The only thing he really had control over was offense and ST. both of those units and coaches have regressed and not been close to good enough over the last 3 years. That’s the reality. They had injuries and poor picks but they also did a poor job developing guys and maximizing their strengths thats also been shown and reported. Now he might not have picked those guys according to reports but he wanted groh back and move press Taylor up so tend to believe he wanted those guys here.

An important aspect of his job, gotta do a better job there. You have to be consistently good at it though, even better than a QB factory

Still why Tate, who pushed for Avery and JJaw, what was the seemingly sudden riff between Wentz and DP

Depends if we have another deal where we get a first even if late first for Wentz.

6# and a third? That's more than enough. Usually when multiple first round picks are traded, it's for mid to late first round picks.

For it to happen all or a combo of the following need to happen:

1. A miracle

2. An uncapped year

3. Changes to cap that allow cutting players and dead money not counting

4. The cap going up 100M

5. Convincing Watson that going from 1 ish show to another isn't that bad

6. Another miracle

It’s not more than enough. Watson is an easy top 10 QB, who many could argue is top 5. He’s also only 25. A high caliber player at the most important position in the league who is a proven veteran yet still very young would be the hottest commodity to hit the draft market in a very long time. Instead of thinking of teams who would trade for Watson it’s harder to think of teams who wouldn’t want to trade for Watson.

Again This is Texans who were dumb enough to trade Hop for a 2nd and a player past his prime. But look at guys similar to Watson in skill/age but lower positional value that have been traded in recent years. Tunsil/Adams/Ramsey for two 1 round picks. Then look at positional value; WAS traded 3 first round picks for RG3, MIA still gave up a 2nd for a very unproven Rosen, MIN sent a 1st for freaking Bradford.

Watson would require a minimum of two first round picks and a second. That’s bare minimum & would also require a desperate Texans front office.

A top ten pick is enough. People always act as someone should have an edge/leverage over philly. People always low ball philly assets. It stops today. What pick was kansas city's qb picked at? Pittsburgh and big ben? Please stop putting philly as some third world country asset wise.

I don’t understand why you think one top 10 pick should be enough. Especially If you look around the NFL and it’s current climate with trading draft picks for players & draft picks traded by teams to maneuver up/down in the draft.
It’s not anything against Philly specifically, and honestly Philly has been the team who looks like initial winners in trades more often than not. Philly could be a possible player in the Watson sweepstakes, if Watson does end up demanding a trade. But the 6th pick and a 3rd is still not enough for Watson, his value is way higher than that. Not saying it won’t happen because there’s always a chance for everything, but if it did the Texans would overtake themselves and be the losers of the worst NFL trade (again)

Stop it dawg. You sound silly. Ok then a second in 21, first in 22 and wentz, final offer. You don't have one of the worst records of your franchise in the last 20 years and just undervalue it. We dug a helluva pit, just like the Texans did if he asks for a trade. You have to have low self-esteem to think the number 6 pick has no value. You gotta suck hard to get 6. And we been on our knees this year. When we stand up , we climaxing. We ain't bending over again.

How many players in the NFL are worth more than pick 6? This ain't mcdonald's.

Carson Wentz finally found a WR he found chemistry with, who he had almost a perfect passer rating throwing to, who made plays in big moments, and they benched him for a vet who returned from injury, to boost the trade value of the vet. How is he supposed to feel. He played bad this year, no question. He was in his own head and idk if he can get out of it in this city. But he was the best version of himself throwing to Travis Fulgham, and SOMEBODY, idk who... took his best weapon away to boost trade value of a lame duck WR coming off injury. He, and his only weapon, were given up on.

Now... was that Doug? Did it come from above? No one knows. But he has a right to be pissed. Especially if it was Doug. Because Doug also gave up on running the ball with Miles Sanders who was averaging 6 yards a carry. Then put a backup in and started running the ball, while the backup had the same issues.

Carson wasn’t good, don’t get me wrong. He missed a lot of opportunities and was worse than his **** situation made him. But they took away the two good things he had, called asinine plays, and benched him for a guy who wasn’t any better. As bad as he was, he had every right to not be happy.

Google Deshaun Watson trade value and tell me I sound silly again.

Quote the part I said the 6th pick has no trade value.

Cmon man. You’re either trolling, a new NFL fan, or just an idiot.

Watsons a top 5 QB we don’t have enough

I think the riff probably started back before this season began and I’m guessing further back then we really know. I don’t think it was sudden. I just don’t think it was nearly this bad until this year. I think it came to a head this season but it’s been coming for a while. I doubt we ever know the full truth behind JJAW and some of the picks. We get some reporting but a lot of it comes out when people trying to pass the bucks to save face/job when things aren’t going well

He was PFF’s highest graded pocket passer in 2019. He led the NFL in TD passes.

You guys are nuts.

2 teams with top 10 scoring defenses remain.  By the end of the day, it will be 1.

Every team remaining besides the Browns has an elite offense....and they have only a matter of hours left of playoff life.

Doug trusted everyone too much, including his own staff. He simply delegated too much to the wrong people.

That's poor leadership and why he was fired.

Delegating authority is not of itself a bad thing. Delegating it to the wrong people is. Reid delegating to Jim Johnson was good, to  Sean McDermott not so much. McDermott is clearly a good coach but he wasn't ready. Jim Lee Howell won championships by reading a newspaper in his office. He delegated everything -  offense to Vince Lombardi, defense to Tom Landry. Ditka dleegated the defense to Buddy Ryan.
