I made that mock, and its #winning

You really think THIS team is gonna take a LB at six with Howie making the pick? Have you seen how he treats the position?

Don’t recall, but they make a ton of sense.

So Detroit offers their second round pick to move from 8 to 6 are you turning it down?

No but they won't give that.

What if it’s their 3 and 5?

Sirianni and Gannon. Colts coaches here now. Floyd is like, their entire team. With these coaches, we may value LB differently now.

Unfortunately it's still Howie in charge of the draft room.

and he values his coach's input so we will see how it goes in year 1 and learn from there.

Sorry, Detroit picks 7 and Carolina picks 8. Could be dueling for a QB.

We could also feign interest in Kuechly and see if Carolina doesnt end up trading with us to come get their LB to replace Kuechly.

And there it is. I don't think even Howie can screw up number six. The farther down you go the more you have to rely on Howie's judgement.

Well, in my judgement Howie should have been swept out.  I hate that we have to have this type of thought process.  That's never good.

And yes, if Howie can screw up 21 with Jefferson versus Reagor, he can screw up 6.

if the team stays at 6 i see a WR or CB , now if they trade back i see CB , DE , possible OL and more picks

We can trade down from 6 to say 8 and get basically the same player.

Jefferson went in the 20's... There's playmakers, you just have to select them. They'll be there at 6 and at 12. I'm in the boat of trading back because we're not 1 player away. Not even 2, or 3, etc. They need a ton of quality players which is going to make multiple years to acquire.

We wouldn't have to take a WR this year if Howie wasn't brain dead and passed on the gift that was handed to him.

The good news with this is that it seems Nick is getting his staff together as he wants.

Exactly. Young coveted defensive mind. I’m excited to get a whole new O and D in here.

I do think it's good that teams may be wanting to trade up for a QB. That was never my concern though, I've always been super confident one of Smith or Chase will be there at 6, there's no way in hell both are gone. My biggest fear is passing on them.

Others have brought it up before, but Howie passing on them and using the reason of "Well, we invested in JJAW and Reagor in the first 2 rounds the last couple years, going WR again would be investing too much draft capital at one position" is something I could easily see happening. Allowing past mistakes to affect future decisions would be such a Howie thing to do. He overthinks everything.

With an offensive head coach, at least give him a new toy to play with at 6, and hell, maybe even help Wentz psychologically knowing he has a new stud to throw to if they are indeed trying to fix him. I think Surtain is a stud, but as talented as he is, passing on Chase or Smith for him would be a major mistake IMO for the aforementioned reasons. And I'm not even sure Wentz can be fixed, but I know for damn sure he won't be with Greg Ward his most productive WR.

They don’t need more picks they just need to select the right ones and develop them.

I'm all for having more picks for Howie to blow in the later rounds.

Ehh, agree that should be the approach, but this GM needs more throws at the dart board and hope to luck into a bullseye.

You’d think Howie would be on the hot seat and need to nail this draft but he’s got this job for life and it doesn’t matter if he fails

Not bad.  What did you use in your rub?  What was the cost of those ribs?  Looks like thee $50 plus range

BTW, I have wood boards for my bread/pasta board, my cheese board and my  herb chopping board but I haven’t used wood for meat in twenty years. Just cannot get it clean and sanitized enough. I use wood loosely because that looks like bamboo, which is really a grass.

Stafford to WFT for a first round pick would be nice for the Eagles.

Long term, he’s nothing.  It also deprives WFT of a first round pick and sets a high price for when the Eagles (hopefully) look to move Wentz after 2021.  Short term, it definitely gives us 2 sure-fire divisional losses in a tanking year when our divisional games could ruin our pick.

I just don't want to trade down behind the cowboys. So 9 is the lowest.

Caplan had a tweet saying that Gannon might not be the only Colts assistant coming to Philly, so I looked at the Colts’ coaching staff. A lot of times new HCs bring assistant positional coaches and quality control coaches along.

The Colts have an assistant ST coach named Frank Ross, so I could see that guy coming aboard with Fipp being pushed out. Keep an eye out for offensive QC coaches Parks Frazier and Jerrod Johnson, defensive QC coach David Overstreet, and pass game specialist Kevin Patullo.

I saw on Twitter that TE coach Jason Michael could be coming to Philly.
