Ertz with YAC. Maybe he has turned that corner.

Those few yards after the catch was him stumbling to try to stay on his feet.  If he had complete balance, it would have been an automatically fall down.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Eagles rookie history record is 912 yards from DeSean Jackson. 1,200 and 7 TDs is not reasonable from a rookie at all

It is for me because I know how great DeVonta Smith is and is going to be.  We are also playing 17 game seasons now.

Being in a new offense has nothing to do with sailing passes. It’s footwork.

You really want to talk about mechanics?  LOL!!!

Reagor just wasn’t as fast as advertised last year.  It’s evidence of the 40 actually mattering.  He looked like a burner in college, ran an extremely disappointing 40 at the combine, and then looked like a 4.49-4.5 guy on the field as a rookie.

The fact that he failed his conditioning tests means we probably shouldn’t be expecting some brand new, faster player in Reagor this year.

I still have some hope and I did like the pick, but I’m no longer expecting him to become a quality #2 for us.  I think slot #3 is where this ship is headed.  Slower, stronger version of Agholor with better hands and worse routes with a similar career arc.

I don't view Reagor as slower than Agholor.

Here is Reagor running right by a fast 4.3 Darby and he likely would have had the TD if the ball was thrown better to hit him more in stride instead of Reagor having to slow down for it to allow Darby to catch up.

The sentiment that anything critical of Hurts has to mean you loved Wentz and are still crying that he's gone

Or, I prefer not to bash the guy STILL on the team when we have question marks about him.  I have no idea if he is going to be good or bad but instead of ridiculing him all the time, I will give him the benefit of the doubt, until he proves otherwise.  Meanwhile, Carson could do no wrong and it was never his fault.

Talking about how he actually plays is not bashing him.  Facts are facts.

How the F is saying bad footwork leads to sailing passes bashing anyone? It’s one of the most simplistic concepts of quarterbacking,

And Carson’s mechanics were f’ing awful all year, which was routinely pointed out. His toes were everywhere, half the time he was doing splits and the last pass he threw as an Eagle should have been a TD or 60ish yard pass at least. Instead he’s hopping around when there’s no pressure and throwing a duck to Goedert.

Well this doesn't apply to you then and I apologize.  There were many, and are still many, who made/make excuses for his play most of the season.  I find it funny they were mocking Hurts's mechanics when Wentz always had terrible mechanics which was the main the reason for his poor play last year.

Did you hear Sirianni absolutely bash him the other day when they said they want to focus on his footwork? Never saw a coach just straight murder his player like that

You're only capable of bashing him.

Is Smith really injured? I thought that was just some joke again on his skinny legs

Kinda. He got hurt in practice and was being evaluated after. I personally haven’t seen any update on it though. Everyone was saying they don’t believe it to be serious.

He had "a scare" on the first 11v11 drill. So they took his helmet away. But stood on the sidelines for the remainder of practice. No medical attention was given to him. So he's fine.

We could attempt to trade for him but it would be a guaranteed season ending injury.

Considering that Dillard missed the entire season because of injury, that's obviously just not true. Unless your presumption is that a player who didn't play loses by default, which would be silly. And please don't suggest you're attempting to evaluate the training camp performance of both players last year prior to Dillard's injury, based solely on random tweets about random plays. That would be even sillier.

I thought Dillard looked pretty good as a LT as a rookie.  Had issues anchoring but that gets fixed in the weight room.  Driscoll did too in his rookie year.   Mailata has flash plays followed by inconsistent plays.  Consistently drove his player back but unlike the Peters of old, he did not keep his opponent outside and that meant the QB on a five to seven step drop was exposed.  Dillard did a better job there but was more susceptible to a bull rush.  Given Washington State’s limited run game, I was surprised at Dillard’s push and pulling in the run game.  When, and that was an issue at times, Mailata finds his second level defender after handing off the DE, he destroys them.  There is certainly more greenness in Mailata’s game than showed in Dillard’s rookie year.  The positives for both makes me real hopeful that the Eagles have real OT depth as Driscoll develops.

Can’t wait for pads on Tuesday.  The OL/DL drills will be better but those are still one on ones that favor the DL.  If the OL plays primarily one on one as a unit, they lose the battle so the 11 on 11s should be fun too.  I suspect we see some revenge from the OL due to all the positive DL comments this week.  A torn bicep could impact strength and punch so I am really curious how Dillard recovers from that.  I thought Driscoll looked like he had really developed his lower body more from just viewing his size this off season.  I want to see how both he and Dillard do against bull rushing.  I want to see if Mailata improves at staying perpendicular to the line.  He has the strength and size, that is a foot placement thing and a bit of a bend thing.

There are flaws in Hurts footwork as well.  Sirianni was pretty forthright about that in his PC.   I do think there is a better chance that Johnson fixes that then Press could fix the footwork of any QB he works with. Sirianni also mentioned ball security and how Hurts needs two hands on the ball.

That’s pretty crappy.  Every player should be given a chance to compete.

Jalen Reagor is not a refined receiver right now. His despondency over sub-par QB play is alarming, as is his sensitivity toward fan comments. But if he fails, it won't be because he's too slow to be an electric player, that's just silly.

He never will be a refined player. Everyone I think knows he will be a serviceable number 2 at best. He will never be a player who will win match ups on his route running, nor through speed. Nick will have to create plays that will create separation for him. One the positive, Nick and the Colts offense has been using that style ever since Frank has been in Indy so Nick has had first hand experience with it.

So you're saying an offensive schemer should put his receivers in positions to succeed? Novel concept.
