He's been ok, would you say he's playing up to his contract as the highest paid Corner in the league???

He's not revis island out there, he's had some good games since being an eagle and some really bad ones, in 19 games with the eagles he has 1 Int, one would expect more from the highest paid player at his position no?

Is Slay the highest paid? I thought Ramsey was?

Can’t make interceptions when no ones throwing against him. That’s why it’s useless to judge a CB based on interceptions. It would be a different story if he was dropping possible interceptions like Nelson but he’s not.

Slay was a needed addition for my sanity at least; it became depressing to watch the opposition dial up an out-and-up anytime they wanted for a huge play.  He gives credibility to the outside CB position for now.

Howie shouldn't have restructured Cox; I understand it freed up cap dollars, but Cox looks just about done.  He was a prime candidate for a deadline trade for something of value.

Lol yeah I get the sanity part and while slay gives credibility to outside corner and what was there before was subpar at best I feel like the price to do so is pretty steep eske silly considering slay hasn't played like the highest paid player at his position.

He was for a few months until Ramsey signed his deal. Right now Slay is 5th.

This. He’s actually been shutting his side down very well. Barely anything is getting completed against him other than very short throws near the LOS and even then he’s coming up and consistently making the tackle.

His tackling has been ok, he has 12 in 4 games, not sure how many missed, he's never been known as a sure tackler, in Detroit his tackling was a big problem.

Like I said he's been ok but he's not playing anywhere near the top paid CB in the league

Not your bro.  Just wondering, do you live in like some condo community and spend your days trying to report violations of the by laws?

What is with folks not being able to grasp anything but group think. Amazing.

Again, I violated the terms of the EMB by doing what again exactly ?

I'll let this go because I'm certainly not trolling this individual but no explanation is necessary. Not trying to interfere with his quiet enjoyment of the board.

Ramsey has the highest average salary over his contract at 20 million.

But last I heard Slay has the highest cap hit for this year at 17 mil.

Again just looking at random number to judge him doesn’t really work. He’s made 12 tackles in 4 games, how many has he missed? How is he supposed to make a tackle against a player that’s nowhere near him when QBs aren’t throwing the ball at him.

The easiest way to judge how well a CB is playing is to look at how much is getting completed against him or near him and this year there hasn’t been much.

Wonder if Gannon believes in dime package now after Hill torched his Defense.

They were in the Nickel for 90% of their plays this past Sunday and how did that work out?  This defense can’t stop the run or the pass in any configuration.

I have taken to not listening to PC's.  It's all deliberate misdirection.

You've got elite coaches who sound like bumbling idiots in front of a mic, horrific coaches who sound like Al Pacino in Any Given Sunday, and everything in between.  None of them take the media seriously and none of them really mean what they say.

I'm not going to feel better or worse about what they do on game day based on how they defend it in these PC's.

Yes - I mean part of it is the reporters but it's not like there's anything they can say.

I would take Epps on the field over either Singleton or Wilson.

The easiest way to judge how well a CB is playing is to look at how much is getting completed against him or near him and this year there hasn’t been much.

Last year he had  a 76% completion rate again st him and over a 100 passer rating when targeted,to go along with his sole 1 Int. He was really bad last year.

This year he's been better as he's been playing off coverage reading the QB in zone but still no turnovers or impact plays and gave up 2 tds against the cowboys.

Like I said I'd expect more impact plays than 1 PD this year.

Slays cap hit is only $6M

Question for the blog.

Cox eagles highest paid player, through 4 games 4 tackles zero sacks.

Slay- leagues highest paid corner- through 4 games 1 PD zero INT.

Who deserves majority of blame Howie or the players???

Always Howie

I think this is an organizational issue. The way McClane sounded.

In what way?

I take it as something serious with a family member that he needs to get squared away either medically or legally before he returns

I think if it was anything other than a personal issue it would have to be reported by the team differently.
