Ugh no. Howell is not worth a first rounder

Last year he looked like it.  This year, he's still playing well but I'm not taking him in the 1st.

Still no word on what's going on with Lane?

Anyone who says he coaches to the strengths of his personnel and also has Eric Wilson playing on run downs is full of crap

Who else is he supposed to play? and seeing a majority of defensive snaps come in nickel, a defense defending the pass formations teams line up in when exactly are those running downs?

People used to question why Schwartz played Gerry so much as well but who else was he supposed to play?

I think if Davion Taylor were available he may eat into some of Wilson's or singletons snaps but even then as a whole the eagles whole group of LBs have been really bad

I'm gonna go with some rando off the streets?

Yup probably couldn't be worse.

We were told that Wilson struggled In run game and excelled in coverage, but heck, I didn't expect he'd be a matador against the run and awful in coverage as well

He's been utterly useless.

BTW...we are tenth in the NFL in red zone TD percentage.

Question for the blog.

Cox eagles highest paid player, through 4 games 4 tackles zero sacks.

Slay- leagues highest paid corner- through 4 games 1 PD zero INT.

Who deserves majority of blame Howie or the players???

That’s true but they also have 2 garbage time touchdowns added to that (one in Dallas and one against KC). Without those they are 63.6% which is right in the middle of the league.

Lol I haven't had the entire page but there's been a huge section in threads that are like that

So you're the one the mods were talking about when saying that most of the reports on the emb come from the blog lol

Never reported a single post in 13+ years until today.

This ish is just ridiculous

I dont mind conversations about smoking meat or the civil war or any of that.  But extended acid trip posts by one individual?   Nah, bro

Howie. Player have a limited shelf life, and it's mostly beyond their control. Age is a m'fer. It's literally Howie's job to identify when guys are getting past their prime and to act accordingly.

Slay is playing really well. Relying on counting stats to determine a CB’s worth is a waste of time.

Totally agree.

Feels like a broken record around here but Howie needs to go.

But Ben....it would have been better optics for a safety to be standing five yards away from Hill at the goal line rather than Wilson.

We were a perennial playoff team until he showed up. Just saying.

Slay was a needed addition for my sanity at least; it became depressing to watch the opposition dial up an out-and-up anytime they wanted for a huge play.  He gives credibility to the outside CB position for now.

Howie shouldn't have restructured Cox; I understand it freed up cap dollars, but Cox looks just about done.  He was a prime candidate for a deadline trade for something of value.

He's been ok, would you say he's playing up to his contract as the highest paid Corner in the league???

He's not revis island out there, he's had some good games since being an eagle and some really bad ones, in 19 games with the eagles he has 1 Int, one would expect more from the highest paid player at his position no?

This. He’s actually been shutting his side down very well. Barely anything is getting completed against him other than very short throws near the LOS and even then he’s coming up and consistently making the tackle.

Fletch signed his deal five years ago.  It was the market number at the time for a premier DT.

The restructure this year is questionable.
