Yes, because all of his players are squeaky clean when they go out.

Big difference is he's the HC and de facto GM and has to set the example. He's held to a way higher standard than the players. As much as we rip Howie you don't ever see him doing anything off the field. He only embarrasses himself on the field.

They should’ve been doing this since the end of the 2019 season.  they were foolish enough during the pandemic to sit there and make a complete 180 degree decision from we need to rebuild to we should go for the division this year because there’s three new head coaches and it’s a crappy division that we could win. The writing was on the wall about the issues this team was going to have going forward and a big rebuild was necessary starting then. The only thing they could’ve accounted for was how bad wentz would regress but the rest of the signs were there.

Yup.

I guess 10 run plays must meet the threshold to qualify.

all I know is when you recognize you dont have an "elite" or Franchise Qb, you need to keep trying to get one, because you are dommed to irellevancy without one.

Nah.  Irrelevancy is a strong term.

SF, Baltimore, Tennessee all can get to 10+ wins through their QB's ability to succeed within the scheme.

Are they elite QBs?  No.  But their teams are relevant and may find a path to a SB.

I wonder if Olsen will be able to maintain a neutral position, or if he'll have a strong bias to his old team.

I think the bad look is that he stayed behind in Ohio rather than traveling with the team.  My guess is that the reason he gave to stay in Ohio when they left was to 'spend time with my family', and instead of that, the video comes out.

I don't care what Meyer does, never have.   But, if I am a player on that team, I expect my coach to be on the flight back to Jax with me and watching game film on how to fix what went wrong.   His actions were not professional in terms of fulfilling the duties of the HC of the team, not because of the bar incident, but because he was even there in an Ohio bar at that time in the first place.   He should have been in a Jax bar instead... and then likely no one cares.

I mean if the video was in Jax people are still going to care.  It still would have went viral on the internet.  His reaction still would have been the same.  I think his players' reaction along with his complete failure to take any ownership of his actions points to a person that is an ineffective leader of men.  He's ok when he can have a power dynamic where respect is near mandatory and players are beholden to him for playing time and roster spots.  The NFL doesn't have the same dynamic.  You have to earn respect.

O/U on "Keep Pounding" references?

Can the mods please ban DireWolf? I have him on ignore, but somehow his posts are still showing up. They add nothing, make no sense, and literally clog up the board with nonsense. At least when others clog up the board with nonsense, there's something worth discussing usually. Just make it stop please @Moderator12 @Moderator5 @Moderator6

Reagor deserves credit for this and being a good teammate.

I never had any respect for him.

Ever see this "on the Internet" because it applies to this current predicament.

Some people just want to see the world burn.  Nature will take it's course.

Be sure to let us know what Didinger thinks about it.

What you have here is someone trying to get factions to fight to distract from their awful performance. Kudos if it works out for you.

No one actually cares about that. It's just the look it gives off when an 0-4 coach who was handed all the keys to a garbage franchise skips the team flight home to get some Ohio strange. Also its just funny his wife tweeted about being at home babysitting kids while her husband was out and then that video leaks.

His wife didn't seem to mind so I don't think anyone should care 🤷‍♂️

I noticed posts show up if you're typing in the text editor and they've posted because it will just show all recent posts added

The blog has had off topic discussions that have lasted pages. It'd be hypocritical to ban him

His carries were not memorable, but my perception was he was trying to bounce outside too much instead of going north-south

That said don't give me no garbage about how the players lost respect over it. They may have lost it for other reasons but that would be very hypocritical on a lot of their part

I have no issue with off topic discussions. He has no topic. His posts are completely nonsensical. They literally add nothing at all to any discussion, on or off topic. What's the point?

Is it really a discussion?
