I thought the defense played better than the score showed against Dallas but still it wasn't good.  He called one blitz and got a sack on Dak and then never called another blitz.  The Chiefs just destroyed the team.  They looked just pathetic against the run.  There was no spark.  There was no creativity to generate pressure.  No blitzing, just a bunch of nothing.  

 

Cowboys was getting like 7-8 yards per rush on 1st down consistently.  That was not a good game from the defense at all.

I'm officially on the throw it to DeVonta every play bandwagon.  Goodness, he's almost always open. 

Reagor got open a few times as well...one time Jalen Hurts was running away from the LOS with his back to the WRs while Reagor was breaking open.

Hurts really needs to work on his pocket presence.  He's 1/2 second too skittish as his guys are breaking wide open.

Our skill position core is set, young, and will only improve.

Once (if) we get the QB position figured out, that QB is gonna have a great group of weapons to work with.

No wonder Les almost beat his ass,  just a little later today he was worried about the Eagles dime package.   Apparently he doesn’t watch the Eagles.

No one is saying it is. However he offense was equally as bad. They had 2 turnovers, 0 points and gave Dallas 7 points through 2.5 quarters. They didn’t score points until we were down 20 points and 27 points.

So who was expecting them to turn it around, especially the first 11 games this season with two beatable teams.

Last year our defense was 20th, giving up 418 points (26.1 points per game), we allowed 4.2 yards per rush, 6.6 net yards per pass attempt

This year our defense is 24th, giving up 106 points (26.5 points per game), we allow 4.4 yards per rush, 6.3 net yards per pass attempt

Mills was replaced by Harris, Curry by Kerrigan, Gerry/Riley by Wilson, but McLeod and Graham were injured this year.

Restating my point a little bit... our personnel definitely isn't very good. My frustration/disappointment with the defense has been its approach. It's been so bad schematically that we haven't even given our players a chance to succeed. That is how I see it.

I don’t disagree with you about The approach right now. However I do think there is an adjustment to where all these players the Eagles have played under Jim Schwartz’s defense for the last 2 to 5 years. I tend to think Youll get better performances once guys get more used to the system that they are running. And you ca  do a lot more exotic stuff once guys understand the system that they’re trying to implement. Where it becomes second nature and more natural to them.I thought they looked good week one and week two because frankly I think Atlanta sucks.  the 49ers I said going into that game only had George Kittle who was banged up and Samuel. The rest of that offense has been inconsistent and poor in 2 of their 4 games.
