Since 1991, Adam Sandler has been in a movie every year except 1992 and 1997.  We haven't had a year without a new Adam Sandler movie since 1998.

Given that this hasn't happened, you're wrong.

Looking at the filmography. Some terrible movies in the last few years.  I the the last movie I liked was anger management in 2003.

It took only a month for the shine to wear off of Urban Meyer.  Now the big question is whether he will last the season

Didnt say that.

Just laughable that the idea was 10000000% dismissed and no multi multi millionaire would ever do that

Ok -It's just that it was reported he had a personal matter. Retirement from a sport isn't a personal matter in terms of how the NFL wants teams to report things.

Well the "leave” of Johnson initially had me worried that he flunked a urine test and they were retesting the urine before suspending him. McLane’s 50/50 didn’t help that. (He only lost his appeal of the dismissal of his case against the NFL and the NFLPA at the Second Circuit last year.  I don’t know if he filed a writ of certiorari to the Supreme Court.  If he did, I sincerely doubt their decision on whether to hear the case came down on a Sunday, so that would not be the reason.) I do expect that both the league and the union are now very cautious as to how they deal with Johnson.

I think they have to report failed drug tests differently than listing it as a personal reason.  A failed drug test only results in a missed game if there was a suspension.  So there would be no reason for him to skip a game due to a failed test or re-testing.  It's not like the team gets punished for playing someone who fails a test.

And it could possibly still be.  But maybe there is a dispute on if the substance is on the list or not.  Again, it's unlikely....

Nah.  If it were, people who know wouldn't be keeping it quiet.  Spadaro seemed to know on Sunday.  McLane seems to know.  If it was PEDs, the story would be out and they'd be reporting that he is fighting it, etc.   This is something else... and since it has been so hush hush, I'm sticking with the 'personal' piece.  I hope everything is ok with him and his family.

I'd say 80% of his movies are trash.   His early stuff was definitely his best, then his act got old.

Lately though, I thought Uncut Gems was a fantastic movie and Hubie Halloween was a stupid/silly comedy to watch and just laugh at.

Yup, it was very dumb but that's kind of what we need.  It seems to me that every movie that comes out now is either some sort of Marvel Universe stuff or a very dark movie.  There are no uplifting movies or downright good comedies.  The movies have just turned bleak and dark, kind of mirroring society IMO.  We can't laugh at each other anymore without the fear of the PC police coming after you.

Hubie Halloween was just that.  It was dumb but you could just sit back and laugh.  Had some great Sandler friend cameos.  I was actually planning to sit down and watch it again this Halloween.

They SHOULD be....but you have a lot to learn about the direction of this country/world if you're asking this.

One thing about Jaylen Smith is that he's apparently a class act and great guy.  I have no issue bringing that in to the locker room.

I say that not knowing if he did something that caused his release or if it was purely because of performance vs. contract and LB depth they have.

I defer to what I was taught in school, deferring to the science. There are 2 biological sexes, Male and Female defined by their chromosones as XX and XY. And we have terms in the english language to address people accordingly, He/She/ They/Them/ Him/Her, His / Hers etc....

That doesn't mean I dont feel empathetic or sympathetic for those whose internal thought processes dont match their biological birth sex. I do, I have compassion for them. It can not be easy. I just dont believe we should change the reality of facts, I would rather we deal with the reality as it is, and be compassionate to their issues that way.  Bending the science to save feelings waters down the scientific process itself, and makes it fiction.

Wow, when I woke up this morning I was really looking forward to all the "sign Jaylon Smith and Stephen Gilmore post now" posts

I'm disappointed TATE...you're better than this.

Johnson has two prior PED suspensions.  Next one is a season or two, I believe.  But given how far Johnson took his fight last time, don’t believe the initial test result would be an immediate announcement.  That’s why I was concerned about that possibility. Given how much grief the NFL has received for leaked test results, I would think anything with Lane would be clamped tight. With word he is returning, my concern has waned.
