There was for Seumalo too. Kelce got ripped for a while as well a few years back. Can't handle a DT on his nose, they said. Some people have no clue about OL play. No matter. They parade their ignorance.

No one in here has the understanding of OL play that you do.

He's a turnstile when rushers try to use power to bull rush through him.  I'd imagine a large reason we completely abandoned any attempt at a running game these past two games is because Dillard does not have the strength to run block.  He has also had 4 penalties in 2 starts this season.

Eagles running backs have 13 carries for 73 yards the last two weeks, that is 5.6 yards per carry.  It has nothing to do with Dillard, it is Lowie and his analytics instructing the yes man coach to pass, pass, pass, and then pass some more.

Belated 26th happy birthday to Andre Dillard, you've reached the Danny Watkins line.

Then he never belonged on the Cowboys

Yeah we have never had any luck getting players from the Cowboys. And if they are letting him go, there is a reason. And knowing how tolerant they are of bad guys, even though he has a good rep, there must really be something wrong

I would say for most humans, not all. I don't give a flying Eff what is going on. Just as long as we get a suitable RT in there on Sunday

Jack Driscoll was just removed from the IR list and wasn't told he'd be starting at RT until hours before kickoff and then went on to have a decent game.  Who knows how much he practiced if at all at RT last week.  From what we were told, he was preparing at RG so Dickerson could be moved to LG.

When Dillard was forced in to action he laid an absolute egg.  One was a 1st round pick who the Eagles used 3 draft picks to get while the other is a 4th round pick.  It's easy to get down on Dillard and want him gone.

RPO's or not, he still had 4 penalties on Sunday so even while his play is improving, he still has a ways to go.  If both of them prove to be solid starters at either T position and one becomes expendable, I'm trading Dillard to save salary and hopefully bring back better return.

Driscoll has played RT mostly in college and the pros.  He looked tired in the second half.  Trading the third best T on the team would be a mistake.  Do you think Driscoll magically becomes a solid LT?

I've remarked on this multiple times, the game is moving towards screens and flips around the LOS replacing or augmenting the run game.  The desired effect is the same as handing the ball off, keeping the D honest.

with Hurts being a checkdown and or bail/run monster, we have no problem keeping the defense honest and up close to the LOS. What we have a real issue with is any type of down the field passing attack, anything 15 yards or further is a rarity by the way Hurts throws ir bails on the play.

I am compassionate for what ever issue he may be dealing with, but am not someone who feels like I need to know what the "personal" issue is. I respect ones privacy, regardless of fame/ position etc.

Hmmm no, it's not my business. Same reason I don't have Facebook or Twitter or Instagram. I don't care what anyone does. Knowing what happened or why he is out isn't going to make him appear on the field.

Snap counts this year below.  So not only is he playing the most snaps, and d@mn near all of them, THE POINT, is he left Philadelphia and has not missed a game, while playing almost 100% of the snaps.

Playing lots of snaps, but not playing well, is how we got Nate Gerry.

I wouldn’t even say that. He’s been competent backup LT. that doesn’t mean he can start for 16 weeks or holds up for 16 weeks or eventually regress with more film and better defensive fronts he has to play against. He may also hold up and possibly get better. However we are in year 3 and the eagles paid mailata to be the future LT over the guy they traded up for and restructured lane’s contract when they didn’t really need too

This is the issue unless our standards for first round picks have dropped all the way to being a competent spot starter when Mailata leaves a lineup that is a pretty significant drop off from what everyone on the board was calling him the day he was drafted. We had projections of he’s going to be a pro bowl caliber LT for the next decade the first year we had him. Now the expectations are he’s been competent as a backup spot starter so it proves he is worthy and maybe he could be the LT when lane is gone which wouldn’t be until dillard is on his 5th year contract with how lane’s contract is structured.

Want to make a comparison, the Eagles got by vaitai 4 rounds later then Dillard and they’re basically in the same role. However vaitai could play left and right tackle as well as some guard as the backup. id argue vaitai was pretty competent for most of his eagles tenure in that role. So dillard is basically in the same role but with more natural talent but less versatility.

Driscoll also has played RT and RG previously in his career.  Dillard has not.

it was a 2023 6th and most likely ours would have been higher , but that said backer is a bigger need here

Don't really watch him but from what I've read, he's just not very good.

Not to mention they have 20 LBs that can play already.

Even more ridiculous was the media piling on Dillard every chance they got.  The higher the draft pick, the more disdain from the media for some reason.

Good luck, DeVonta Smith.

His draft slot is now somewhat irrelevant to his current and future role. It matters in terms of a 5th year option. But if he can continue to be a solid LT, and do so consistently, it makes moving on from Lane much easier, as we can shift Mailata over to RT. I imagine much of the same cries will rise up as they did when we paid Lane a LT contract but kept him at RT. But until Howie's restructuring, Lane has been worth every penny of that original contract.

JFC.  Are you dense?   He was just saying how ironic it was that since he was traded away, he’s been able to stay healthy.  But when he was an Eagle, his play was not an issue.  He was good for us. But he couldn’t stay on the field because of injuries.   Good God man.

Thank you x 2

So if Dallas can cut someone who is dead weight why can't Roseman do the same?

Although that would probably be half the roster.

Then Lowie would have to admit a mistake.  And there is a lot.
