In the end, his draft slot will be determined by whether he works out at The Combine, Pro Day, and official visits pre-draft.  He has almost a full 5 months to heal before the Combine takes place.  I wouldn't be surprised if he skips the Combine, works out at his Pro Day, and runs drills at official visits with teams.  He really doesn't need to do any more than that.

I think Nick Bosa's pre-draft set a precedent for some of these college athletes.

Even in Farley's case, he dropped from a likely pick at 8/9 to 22. Stingley maybe drops from Top 5 to no later than 15 I'd guess, depending on his workouts/recovery.

The Panthers have small fast EDGEs: Dillard should play this week. No reason to rush Mailata.

You know, I forgot there was no combine this year.  Just one more thing that will help with this years draft process.  Assuming they have the combine.

Great series of matchups for Dillard to up that trade value. Any contenders desperate for a LT?

Which is good for us.

Another quality Howie signing.

I tend to just let people be who they are.  But I struggle to understand why everyone has to have a label, whether political, social, caste, race, religion, or sexuality. Kind of defeats individualism.  We kind of rebelled against such stereotyping in the sixties.  Now if you undertake some adoption of what is perceived as outside your classification, you are misappropriating someone else’s culture.  Classifying and segregating aren’t the way to enlightenment.

Completely agree. Labeling is division and the opposite of inclusion.

True, but teams had little information on Farley's health because there was no Combine and he didn't do a Pro Day because of his back.  Significant risk of uncertainty involved.  If Stingley is able to do a full workout for teams he won't drop far, if any

Lane is going to be at the facility but won't be practicing.

If he's not hurt, then this is not good Eagle fans.

If he gets suspended by the league for two seasons, that solves our salary cap issues.

I defer to what I was taught in school, deferring to the science. There are 2 biological sexes, Male and Female defined by their chromosones as XX and XY. And we have terms in the english language to address people accordingly, He/She/ They/Them/ Him/Her, His / Hers etc....

That doesn't mean I dont feel empathetic or sympathetic for those whose internal thought processes dont match their biological birth sex. I do, I have compassion for them. It can not be easy. I just dont believe we should change the reality of facts, I would rather we deal with the reality as it is, and be compassionate to their issues that way.  Bending the science to save feelings waters down the scientific process itself, and makes it fiction.

I think you're a bit out of date. For one thing, there are individuals with XXY chromosomes. So exactly what "reality" are we dealing with? And of course, genes don't work on their own, they are blueprints but the prenatal environment can have a significant impact on their expression.

Next thing you're gonna tell us that homosexuality is a biological aberration, despite it being identified in practically every mammalian species.

Now I hate PC BS, but the fact that a few left wing crazies blow these issues up just makes them as obnoxious as the right wing crazies who want to depend on prejudice or books of religious mythology to make life miserable for people who don't fit into conventional categories.

Common sense, empathy, tolerance and humor is the best way to deal with these issues, don't make life any harder than it already is for most people.

Utterly shocking I tell you. It's almost like he was terrible at those things last season and never should've been considered a 3D LB.

Lol, this whole speculation is ridiculous. It's a great example of Occam's razor. It's nearly certain a family issue/illness that he had to go deal with.

Frankly, there's no reason to speculate.  It's "personal".  Spadaro said, essentially, that he knows but won't ever share a "personal" issue until the player is ready for it to be released.   In other words, it will come out when it comes out, and frankly, it's none of our business.  But, apparently, this is what happens now... privacy and personal things can't be left alone, they have to be speculated, picked at, rumors started... just gross.

(I am not accusing you of that, but there have been plenty of folks that can't just take 'personal reasons' at face value and leave it alone.   I'm sure he shared with the team what the issue is, and they are accepting it.  We shouldn't make a big deal about it.  Just wait it out and deal with his absence as if it were a 'day to day' injury situation.)

I remember reading stuff about him being bad in the run game, but I’m shocked Zimmer would play him if he was this bad. Guess not.

Lets unpack this one at a time here:

For one thing, there are individuals with XXY chromosomes Yes this does exist  at a rate of less than .002% of Males

  • XXY = male.
  • One in every 500 male births is XXY.
  • Numerous studies show XXY boys and men possess the same capabilities as XY boys and men.

Next thing you're gonna tell us that homosexuality is a biological aberration, despite it being identified in practically every mammalian species.Never said it, I believe I stated I feel for people who have different thought processes or patterns than what are normal for their biological sexes. And lets recognize that it is around 10% or so.

Now I hate PC BS, but the fact that a few left wing crazies blow these issues up just makes them as obnoxious as the right wing crazies who want to depend on prejudice or books of religious mythology to make life miserable for people who don't fit into conventional categories. I am neither a left or right wing, I am a very traditional somewhat conservative liberal on the political spectrum, and dont care how religions view this subject. I spoke just about the biological science

Common sense, empathy, tolerance and humor is the best way to deal with these issues, don't make life any harder than it already is for most people.

This should be the hope but at the same time, and I could be wrong, but Driscoll more than held his own at RT.  I didn't watch him but I also didn't notice him which is generally good for OL.

For the sake of saving a 1st round pick, yes we want Dillard to make it worthy of keeping him.  However, if Driscoll can hold down RT with Mailata at LT, then that could make Dillard expendable again.

Dillard and Driscoll playing well gives the Eagles a great situation.
