Yet Mailata is taking reps at RT, rather than just stepping directly in at LT.   Draw your own conclusions.

I think it’s also a reflection of the injury issues the eagles had. Imo Driscoll better at guard then he is at tackle and also i think better than herbig.

not sure who else do the eagles have at tackle? Toth? I think they are kind forced if lane isn’t back to go dillard and mailata cause they likely see Driscoll> Herbig when both are healthy. And Dillard is a better tackle than Driscoll. If mailata or dillard goes down they kick out Driscoll and move herbig in.

remember Driscoll was supposed to be the starter at RG before lane’s absence

Every snap of Barnett last week. Half the time it looks like he's not even trying. I wouldn't be surprised if he have yet another new D line coach next year.

I’d be excited to see Dillard/Mailata bookends, personally.  I think it could work.

Lane is going to be 2018-2019 Jason Peters from here on out, until he becomes 2020 Jason Peters.

I had high hopes with Tracy Rocker as the DL coach but no one looks to be improving.

I think the Eagles best coach by far is Michael Clay.  ST have been great.

Dillard has something to work with, talent wise, but I don’t think he’s got enough anchor for RG, especially next to Kelce.  His fragility also makes it more difficult to expect much.

However, with Hurts at QB and the pocket being an afterthought, a mobile OL for the roll outs and RPO might not be a bad fit.

edit…meant to refer to Driscoll

It’s why i think a lot of us don’t believe he’s gonna get that second extension. Honestly question if you gave gainwell the role sanders has had since we’ve had sanders, would they offense see a drop off? I’m guessing likely not. Frankly i think gainwell got screwed by the pandemic and should’ve gone much higher than he went.

He like almost everyone else dropped in the draft for dropping out because of the pandemic. They took the chance that their previous seasons were good enough to still get them drafted.

You just want him to be bad to excuse Jalen Hurts missing passes against a bad KC defense.

What?

Because as Dillard showed he can't at all function at RT.

But hey go ahead and take your lunacy a step further by trying to act like Dillard is better than Mailata.

Dillard was fine, and is not the reason we did not run the ball.  Once again, if you can find someone else to blame it on, it absolves Hurts of his poor play in your mind.

He already had this excuse built in before the season started by saying if Hurts failed it would be because of Nick S. He must really hate guys names Nick.

There was a play where Cox gave up on a mahomes scramble where it could’ve prevented a first down and glen macnow absolutely crushed him yesterday on WIP for it.

He’s the guy who threw snowballs at Santa cause his name was st. Nick. We’ve cracked the case of who he is.

Where am I mentioning Hurts? You're such a loser.

We all see what you are doing.  Dillard was fine the last two games.

Hurts doesn't live rent free in my head like he does yours.  He has nothing at all to do with my criticism of Dillard.

Dillard has been the Barnett of the offense with 4 penalties over the past two games.   Eagles have been very fortunate that he has been matched up with speed edge rushers and not DEs that would try to power past him.

It's good to know though that we can mark Dillard down as another good Howie Roseman draft pick for you though.

Didn't say that, but he has been fine.  He is about 27th on the list of problems with the offense right now.

I wonder why Hurts still gets the rookie label but Dillard doesn't? He had less starts then Hurts to this point

Didn’t see if this was posted

Seems to be more Howie Roseman square peg round hole stuff.

Any player having penalties called on him the rate that Dillard has is not fine.  Especially for a team that leads the league in penalities and is on a historic rate for them.  It's actually a pretty big issue for this team.

Comes off as excuse making for a player that is likely just in decline.  Once the Eagles started to put out those reports about their concerns about him going forward in his 30s they should have been trying to move him for draft capital as we went into a rebuilding year.

But doesn't Gannon keep saying he builds the scheme around the players, not the other way around? Gannon sounds like he's full of crap.

I just hate when people do that for any player in general. A rookie doesn’t get an entire season in the nfl where he played some or on sideline learning and in the facility and then a completely offseason with the team. A rookie is drafted (sometimes can’t make camp school obligations) and doesn’t have the experience gained by playing a handful of games or being in the locker room or within the organization. Even Sidney jones i hated when people said it. He might not have played but learning in the nfl and within the nfl confines and organization is different than a rookie who just jumps from college to NFL without having that year of transition and what to expect.

It's very obvious watching the DL that they're not settled in at all. All the moving around they do for different looks is too much. There's a time and place for that. Gannon is just throwing ish at the wall right now.
