I love Stephen King. Season 1 of Castle Rock was ok. Season 2 became unwatchable. Still need to finish the outsider. It's ok but not nearly as good as the book.

I'm so close to clicking on Castle Rock, but I just haven't seen enough good endorsements for it.  I love Stephen King books.  His movies are hit or miss for me.  Older ones are great.  The original IT still haunts me in my dreams.

Add that to the list of reasons 2020 sucks!

  • Don’t Look Up was hilarious!   that’s EXACTLY how something like that would go down.  They nailed it.   ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Would Recommend to a friend!!!

  • You're drunk - the lack of Yennefer being naked at all immediately makes your claim invalid

In the middle of Castle Rock season 2, figuring it will come together with season 1 ... the long game

Doing Mr. Mercedes too, again only halfway thru season 1

Umbrella Academy s2 really stalls in the middle episodes IMO. I'm about to start episode 7 and I'm not all that excited to do so based on the first 6.

6 hours just feels like a long time to establish they got dropped back in the early 60s, the dad is present for the JFK shooting, and we're assuming something about the JFK assassination is connected to the pending Apocalypse in a week. Also, swedish assassins and "The Handler's"/ Kate Walsh's daughter is now involved in the shenanigans this time around. Okay then.

They made some weird choices in the MM series that went far off from what the book did. I don't care for that when I love the book.

I read only one of his books, Pet Sematary and that was all he wrote in my book 😬. Didn’t have away with words. Now maybe these shows are ok with me both because I had not read much of his stuff and I’m in a lockdown situation. Couple dopio’s,  food and binge watching are the highlights of my days

I know I've said it many times but I miss the star ratings

It's annoying seeing a movie/show with 77% only to look it up and see the reviews are trash

Yeah but we can’t have Chuck Schumer’s niece getting btfo’d on her sh** comedy specials...

Project Power was decent. They could have done more if it was a show

Spoiler

What bothered me was they made it seem like you could die if you took the pill but the cop was popping them like skittles

There wasn't many showcases of powers either. They probably spent their budget on the actors

Also maybe I missed it but I didn't understand keeping track of the time

I didnt watch the movie yet so maybe its not the time thing you are referring to, but in the trailer they said you had the power for 5 minutes.

That actually did answer the question. Thanks

Yea, Project Power was ok. Story could have been fleshed out way more though.

Started Breaking Bad.  Again.  Made it to Episode 6 this time around.  I'll stick it out.  I am certain it will pick up.  I just hope it's as good as Ozark.

Went to Subway for a hoagie. Again. Made it through the first bite. Sticking it out. I am certain it will get better. I just hope it's as good as Wawa.

Don’t bother.  I’ll tell ya how it ends.

in the sh**ter. thanks.

As a newbie to Netflix I watched the Crown 1st.  Loved it, I like anything royal, soapy, and it being somewhat a historical drama.  I'm done Outlander until the new season releases.  Started Reign yesterday and got totally sucked in to that, albeit not as nicely done as the above.  At least that show is cancelled and I guess ends with her beheading?  I may as well keep going and do the Tudors and Medici that Netflix is matching me up with next.  I am glad to have a little library of watching TV when I want.  It was quite the adjustment for an old head like me who used to have 3 channels, no remote control,  and an antenna.

Surely you guys aren't in to these shows as much as your wives maybe.

its actually better. it gets crazy. and pretty much never climaxes (kinda like all your former girlfriends). It just keeps getting better, and better, and better.

Has anyone watched Norsmen season 3 yet?

no

It’s a slower burn than Ozark, but indisputably a better show. You have to think of season 1 as kind of a setup. There’s action and intense drama, but it is nothing compared to the following seasons.

Yes, I saw it recently, and it was hilarious.  I thought there were more funny parts in this season than the 1st 2.   I wish there were more than 6 episodes a season.

I was actually invested in the story line too, but unfortunately, this season goes back in time building up to everything that happens in season 1.

I’ll check back when I’m done to correct you.

I'm legitimately jealous that you get to experience this show for the 1st time.  Treasure it.  Nothing else comes close.

Finally made it through Umbrella Academy season 2.  Love that damn show, but I'm a sucker for comic nonsense and shows with great soundtracks.  The actor who plays 5 is Fing incredible for his age.  As long as you can put up with some (purposeful) cheese I can't recommend it enough.

Guess you are not into Better Call Saul but BB should be a precursor at this point

Yeah, I’m doing the time period thingy too. Rome, Vikings, John Adams, Poldark, Outlander ( S03), Medici (S01), Last Kingdom, Crown. Will start Wolf Hall in a few nights I think. Sure there are others I’ve forgotten. I think I like Vikings the best and it’s not so recent for me, patiently waiting for the 2nd half of the final season to appear. I thought highly of the others too exceptions being John Adams kind of seems antiquated production, dated. Medici, not sure about yet ... mid S01

Better Call Saul is best seasonal program on all of television. And most likely better than any of the "release in binge form" programming as well

I've tried, but I just can't get into Better Call Saul.
