I spoiled it by getting on Reddit back then but its not the same as watching it. I'm 7 episodes in and Johnny is hilarious I would hang with Johnny! I use google play music (as opposed to Apple or Spotify or whatever else is out there) and that $9.99/mo included YouTube red/premiums, which takes away all ads, gave access to programming like cobra kai, and also allows you to play YouTube in the background on your phone while you have other apps open/on screen. It’s been awesome

September 3, 20205 yr Finished both seasons of Kobra Kai in 4 days, and that was with putting in 13 hour days at work. I've stayed up way too late all week Spoiler The end of season 2 was a real downer for a show that was light and fun for the most part. However, it seems obvious that Elizabeth Shue will be joining the cast next season which would be awesome. I also saw a teaser trailer for season 3 and it looks like the Terry Silver might be coming back too. There's a lot of rumors about his return.
September 4, 20205 yr Not Netflix, but I watched the first two eps of Raised By Wolves from HBOmax...Really interesting stuff, and Ridley Scott esq with the environment and camera work.

September 15, 20204 yr Cuties. So, um, yeah, the controversey is well deserved. You guys know me, I watch all kinds of depravity, but this one made me squirm. I guess people will automatically compare it to kids but this one definitely pushes the envelope from there. It's wall to wall in your face preteen sexuality in all it's pathetic confusion and goofiness. Somewhere in all that twerking there is a pretty good movie about conflicting social pressures on women, my wife actually loved it.
September 15, 20204 yr watching cobra kai and i def like this one. good show on its own and the flashbacks are pretty awesome. i really like getting the backstory on lawrence.
September 16, 20204 yr Just saw a rare awesome movie that just came out on Netflix. "The Devil All the Time." Awesome screenplay, great story worth following about really terrible human beings, and really good acting. I highly recommend, especially for Netflix.

Edward from Twilight is in it, and he's actually a really good actor outside of those stupid movies. Not sure about Spiderman...I haven't seen any of the new ones. I didn't give anything much away in the spoiler below, but if you want to go in blind, don't click on it. Spoiler Edward plays one of the creepiest preachers in a movie you can imagine, and he is still probably the 2nd creepiest preacher in the movie.

I'm still not understanding the Skylar hate. Maybe cause she went from looking pretty seductive and attractive to not so much in the course of 2 seasons. I will jump right on Better Call Saul, right when I'm done. He's a great character. El Camino is worth the watch, too. I didn't like Jessie at all at the beginning, but was a fan by the end as well, which, I think, is exactly how the writers wanted it. It helped that I hung out with guys just like him, upper middle-class slackers who were basically good guys, and just wanted to have a good time, but were too immature to grow up. That he seemed so real, in that regard, was a testament to how well his character was written.

Nice crossover they did there.

People fell too in love with Walter as a character that they root for him to cook, sell and murder people with Skylar being the only person that opposed him and somehow flipped everything on her when she was the only one acting with some morals. Yea, she cheated on him. But he constantly lied to her, completely flipped her life upside down and put her family in harms way.

Anna Gunn (?) has talked post show about the threats and hate mail she got. People/fans are just immature psychos, in every area of life/pop culture following. 47 minutes ago, 4for4EaglesNest said: Yeah. As I have been thinking about the show and the characters the past few days, that's the conclusion I came up with. I can think of more annoying characters in shows than her. I did think the idea to include her as the launderer kind of fell flat at least with the car wash. It would have been better if they help Beneke out and started to launder through his company. Think they would've tried that/explored that further if a. he didn't have sex with Walters wife b. he showed that he was reliable and could take orders, which he couldn't when Skyler ghostwrited him a check for $100k or whatever the amount was to pay off his debts to keep the fuzz off of her and Walts tail, and instead he went right out and bought a new car, etc instead of doing that

She was also a bish to Walter, cheated on him, committed tax fraud for lover, used drug money to fix the problem she created, then had the audacity to act self righteous. F Skylar.

They would have excluded that as a plot line. sure.. but i don't think anyone has ever said they wanted more Beneke, in place of exactly how everything unfolded. The affair gave more FU power to Skylar - you're not gonna just go start manufacturing meth in a mid-late life crisis scenario and opt out of the only family time you have left until when its convenient to you without having some consequences for that. It also fleshed Skylar out and made her more three dimensional as a character. Which then lead to them being appropriate believable business partners down the line. There wasn't any more real love between them, this was now officially a family issue so may as well become business partners here to try to maximize our chances at protecting "the family" + keep it hidden from Hank. Bringing a third party into that who in this universe didnt bang Skylar and is just her old boss? doesn't work. Walt would never sign off on that.

He was cooking meth while on chemo and spending the limited family time he had left (or so everyone thought at that time) with a meth head former student out in the desert instead of his family 2. See #1, this time really understand the fact that he has a pregnant wife at home and a teenager and he still decides cooking meth as his brother in law is a DEA agent is the play here 3. she "committed tax fraud for lover" to keep the feds off "lovers" case, which in turn keeps them off her and Walts case 4. she didn't start / "ask for any of this," as she says late in the series. Don't blame Skylar for sticking up for herself and trying to take control of the mess her meth cooking husband created.
