WeCrashed is excellent so far. Didn’t expect to be as engaged in it as I was. Lego may be a super weird dude, but he def loves his parts. And Anne Hathaway isn’t awful as per usual.

Add that to the list of reasons 2020 sucks!

  • Don’t Look Up was hilarious!   that’s EXACTLY how something like that would go down.  They nailed it.   ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ Would Recommend to a friend!!!

  • You're drunk - the lack of Yennefer being naked at all immediately makes your claim invalid

Watched Windfall tonight. Thought it was a pretty good movie. After I watched I looked it up online, it’s rated 5.7/10 on IMDB, kinda surprised by that. I think it’s better than that score.

Bad Vegan is an interesting documentary series (just 4 episodes) about a con artist who conned a famous successful chef into draining her money and taking over her life.  Interesting look at how slowly over time a narcissistic controlling person can manipulate even a well educated confident person.

You think she was manipulated?  I think she’s full of crap and was trying to take advantage of him. Once she realized she couldn’t, she was stuck along for the ride. I don’t buy her victim bull crap

They kind of presented that theory a little bit.  But he drained her bank accounts and ruined her business.  It was cult-like behavior with the immortality, the "family" house thing.  What would have been her angle?  She was sending him money and not getting her debts for the restaurant paid off and not able to expand her business.  She did participate in some deception but it seemed like she did that because she was in too deep.  She seemed miserable and depressed in all her video and photos.

I think she started the relationship thinking she could milk him since she was hard up for money to pay off loan up front. Yes she’s a bit crazy too, but I don’t buy this innocence. She struck me as too intelligent and understanding after the fact and didn’t have the same after type of reaction you see from other former cult members. she still talks to the damn guy at end of last episode.

According to her, the doc edited it to make her look worse. I was curious what happened to her & the restaurant staff because the end didn't say. Found this article. Excerpts below link.

https://www.marieclaire.com/culture/what-is-sarma-melngailis-doing-now-bad-vegan/

In her recent website post, titled "About Bad Vegan - Part One," Melngailis shared some of her thoughts about what she thinks the documentary got wrong, specifically claiming that she didn't flee voluntarily with Strangis and she didn't want to marry him...

She added. "Also, the ending of Bad Vegan is disturbingly misleading; I am not in touch with Anthony Strangis and I made those recordings at a much earlier time, deliberately, for a specific reason. There’s a lot Bad Vegan gets right, but it’s hard not to get stuck on the things that aren’t right or leave an inaccurate impression. Later, I’d like to clear up more."

Speaking to Newsweek, director Chris Smith and Ryann Fraser said in response: "The inclusion of the last phone call isn't to imply that Sarma and Anthony were still close. The call is dated "22 Months After Prison"—and Anthony clearly says at the end of the call "it was nice to hear your voice"—which we feel shows that communication between them is not common...In this call, we found Sarma to be confident and strong—making fun of the tales Anthony had spun, telling him that he had to show up on a unicorn for there to be any reconciliation (meaning there is no reconciliation)."

Just started Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story and it’s off to a good start. Netflix is incredible with crime documentaries in my opinion.  NOTW licks random ballsacks.  Just wanna make sure he’s paying attention.  😂🤮

Don't make me get Will Smith to slap you and tell you to keep my name out your ukn mouth!

Don’t know where else to post this but I’ve been watching some of the AMC Breaking Bad marathon that’s been on Saturdays and it makes me unreasonably angry how a show this good had such a dumb Ted Beneke story arch.

Skylar singing at the birthday party was cringe.  Even though she was very bangable in those episodes.

The early Ted story kinda made sense with Walt unknowingly pushing Skylar away. The Season 4ish part where Skylar is like "here's a free $600k, pay your taxes" and Ted's like "lol. no." 5 different times was ridiculous.

Watching "Bad Vegan”. Crazy how people fall for these con artists, but it’s been an entertaining watch so far.

I got thru two episodes and she was just so stupid I couldn't continue.

You guys got Top Boy on your Netflix? If so I would recommend. One of the best things I've ever watched.

It's probably because I was in several heavy metal bands when I was in high school in the 90's, but I had a blast watching "Metal Lords". I'm glad I didn't try to watch it with my kids (lots of of bad language, sex and drugs). Very funny with a great soundtrack. Basically a quick and fun movie.

might be worth unsubscribing for a month once that goes live until they inevitably reverse it back.

All the freeloaders using my account will have to get over it.

Watched this the other night - thoroughly enjoyed it.  Those kids rocked at the end - ripped off School of Rock a bit but still a fun movie

Taboo was awesome.  I am more excited about that show coming back than anything else.  It's a slow burn, but the cinematography, overall plot are fantastic.  Don't give up after the first few episodes.  The way they nailed the early 1800s time frame in London really drew me in too.  It was the best role I've ever seen Tom Hardy play.  I feel like I've been waiting a decade for season 2 to come out.  It's on hulu now if you have that.  I think it's like $5/month, and it's worth it for that show alone.

This is a fantastic show, can’t believe I hadn’t heard of it before. Tom Hardy is unbelievable in this! For anyone who hasn’t seen this, it’s a must IMO. If you like Peaky Blinders, this should be right up your alley. I believe they have plans in the works for season 2 now. Can’t wait!!!

Finally watched My Octopus Teacher - pretty remarkable

I watched the trial of Adolf Eichman last night. As a history buff I was fascinated by it, but it got so disturbing I had to turn it off.

The scene where the shark chases it is incredible.

The Adam Project - Yeah, this one’s months  old, and some of you have commented on it already, but I haven’t had much time and have prioritized other things with the time I’ve had. Finally had a cold rainy day with not much to do so I put it on. Really enjoyable. Funny, big and loud at times, not going to touch better time travel franchises like The Terminator, but I wouldn’t have hated myself had I paid to see it in a theater, either.
