It was handed to Hurts

Who has the info on Christopher Allen UDFA signing? Gotta get him here.

Handed to Hurts so much that they wouldn't even announce or refer to him as the starting QB or back him publicly as the starter until a week or so before the season.

if you told me before the draft we are taking.....

Jordan Davis in the 1st

Nakobe Dean 2 in the 2nd

and Carson Strong in the 3rd

I would have been like HELL YEAH!!!!

We ended up with Davis AND AJ BROWN!!!!!! in the first

Dean in the 3rd

and Strong as a UDFA

Pretty unbelievable... GG Howie!!!!

The Eagles wouldn't have been in the situation had he not crap the bed like Amber Heard, that said, you have to hand it to him, he had a phenomenal weekend. And, Strong has some things he needs to work on, they all do, but he certainly has the right attitude coming in to all of this, it's going to be interesting to watch all of this play out.

I missed it, why are we still arguing about strong?

Because some people haven’t accepted that he’s our franchise QB.

By the way,  I wore my eagles super bowl champions t-shirt on day one all day under my work clothes.

Felt it notify us great luck on day 1 so I wrote it again day 2. A little unsexy on day 2 but still felt pretty good about it.

So I wore it again today.

3 days in a row. And it did a hell of a job.

If everyone in the blog thinks that Carson Strong has a chance to win the starting job then yes they are deluded.  This is the same blog that said Carson Wentz didn't want to be traded and the Eagles weren't trading him.  The same blog that said that Watson would want to come here.  The same blog that said the Eagles were going to draft a QB in the first two rounds this draft.

Incorrect

Ah I see. Thanks for catching me up. All Hail Strong!

Exactly.  We wanted Watson.

No one said Watson wanted to be here.  We wanted a Watson over Hurts.  Two different thing sporto.   Don’t be racist.

And while you’re obsessing about QB.  One guys name is Strong and the other guys name is Hurts.   I think it’s pretty obvious which direction we should go.

What color is the sky from your cell?

With watson we really said the eagles would be aggressive and try to make the move to get him because he’s a top 10 Qb in the league. And the eagles value that and would try to make it happen. Most of us realized that it was unlikely he would come here due to his NTC but the eagles like with Russell Wilson would try to do it cause they viewed both as significant upgrades at a position the value and covet the most.

They'd rather not be on the back end of a big deal with an older DT that wasn't here for the Super Bowl.

Yes.  That's called gamesmanship. Why would you tell your opponent which QB to prepare for in the 1 week where you actual have that element of surprise, and the two are drastically different to play against?

I argued with many people here since last summer telling them that he would not want to waive his no trade clause to come here.

Who was the QB in training camp and preseason that outplayed him?  You say it was handed to him and he didn't earn it, then who earned it over him but didn't get it?

Derick Henry won’t ever win the SB as a star either.   Drafting RB in the first round is a foolish endeavor.   I don’t care who it is.

I agree with Henry not winning the SB.  Tennessee is going to have too hard a swim upstream against the AFC.

Correct.  Turned the page.  New way of thinking.  No longer trying to hold that window open.  Now trying to find a new window to open.

Different phase of roster building.  And there is one better at this part of it.

Same as the Wentz injury to start 2018.  Everyone demanded to know if he was ready or if Foles would start against the Falcons, and as I pointed out 100 times, why would the Eagles announce that and give a competitive advantage.

Was it handed to Hurts?  Wentz played so bad in 2021 that Hurts took the job from him at the end of that season.  Wentz demanded a trade and got it.  Then the Eagles signed Falco to compete for the job and Hurts won it.

Expect a repeat this year.

He’s QB1.  Not the "franchise QB”.  There’s a big difference.  Maybe you should just stick to posting other peoples tweets and opinions rather than sharing your own.  It’s more your speed.

Not sure if serious…

Except for resigning Cox...just a few weeks ago.

It's funny how in the blog's wet dream about Carson Strong winning the starting job this season that at no point does the fact that Minshew is the #2 QB on the roster ever factor in here.
